112: Chapter 112 A burly man forces his way in! Li Wei desperately blocks his path.
A sound came from the back door, and Li Wei immediately turned his head.
The sound was dull and violent; someone outside was kicking the door. With a loud "clang," the entire wall trembled slightly. The iron door, which was not sturdy to begin with, was instantly deformed by the kick, and a large gap split open at the edge of the door frame.
The next second, another fierce kick landed.
"Bang—"
The back door was kicked wide open. The broken door panel hung askew, and dust filled the air. Five or six burly men, surrounding a shifty-looking henchman, swaggered in. Each of them wore a vicious expression, looking extremely menacing.
The atmosphere in the office instantly shifted from the tension of trading to a standoff where swords were drawn.
The sound of typing paused for only half a second before immediately resuming its rapid pace.
Ella did not even turn her head; her eyes were locked onto the trading screen, and her fingers continued to fly across the keyboard, completely undisturbed by the outside world.
She knew very well that every second now mattered for the stability of the position, and if she were distracted, all her previous efforts might be in vain.
"Just one last step, the position lock will be completed soon." Ella gritted her teeth, focused to the extreme, as if the commotion outside had nothing to do with her.
Chen Xi remained calm in the face of danger. She immediately gathered the compliance documents and trading agreements from the table, stacked them neatly in her arms, and retreated to the corner to protect the critical information.
She was meticulous and knew that these documents were their lifeline; they must not be destroyed by these people.
Seeing this, Li Wei's pupils constricted. Without a second thought, he strode over, spread his arms across the back door entrance, and forcibly blocked the path of the burly men.
His build was not the most imposing, but he stood straight with a fierce look in his eyes, exuding a sense of courage and determination, showing no fear despite the opponent's superior numbers.
"Who are you people? How dare you break into this office!" Li Wei roared, his voice booming and making the whole room hum.
The leading henchman glanced sideways at Li Wei with disdain and stepped aside. A burly, fleshy-faced man from behind stepped forward, staring down at Li Wei, his tone hoarse and arrogant: "Get lost, don't block the way! We are here to cause trouble for Lin Chen today. If you know what's good for you, get out of the way, or we'll take care of you too!"
As the burly man spoke, he reached out to push Li Wei with great force, intending to shove him aside.
Li Wei planted his feet firmly, braced himself, and shouldered the force, holding his ground. Not only did he not retreat, he took a step forward and roared even louder: "If you want to touch Brother Chen or trash this place, you'll have to get past me first! Even if I have to risk my life today, I won't let you take a single step forward!"
He was unarmed, yet he did not retreat an inch. His eyes were full of loyalty, and he didn't care about his own safety, even though there were five or six of them.
"You don't know what's good for you!" The burly man's face darkened, and he raised his hand, ready to strike.
"Stop."
A calm yet authoritative voice rang out.
Lin Chen slowly rose from his chair, his steps steady as he walked to Li Wei's side. His expression showed no trace of panic; he remained calm and composed.
He swept his gaze over the uninvited guests and saw through them immediately—someone had sent them here to cause trouble on purpose.
He didn't waste words with the burly men; he simply took out his phone slowly, found a number, dialed it, and put it on speaker, his tone indifferent: "Robert, some people have broken into my place. Bring a few men over to handle it."
A respectful response came immediately from the other end of the line: "Mr. Lin, I'll be there right away! I'll arrive within ten minutes!"
After hanging up, Lin Chen put his phone back in his pocket and looked calmly at the henchman opposite him: "I'll give you one last chance. Leave now, and it might not be too late."
The henchman's face changed; he clearly hadn't expected Lin Chen to be so calm and to have called for backup in advance.
But he had received orders from John and couldn't go back empty-handed. He gritted his teeth and sneered: "Trying to bluff! Brothers, ignore him, smash the computers and tear up the files first!"
Upon receiving the order, the burly men prepared to charge forward.
Li Wei pushed forward again, blocking their path firmly, his fists clenched tight, ready to fight at any moment.
Inside the office, the sound of Ella's typing never ceased. Her eyes were focused; the position-locking operation had reached the final stage. If she could hold on for a few more minutes, she could completely stabilize the Microsoft position and cause John's scheme to fail completely.
Chen Xi held the documents and quietly retreated a few steps, watching the burly men's movements vigilantly, ready to deal with any emergency, observing everyone's actions with meticulous care.
Lin Chen stood to the side, composed and at ease. He was neither panicked nor impulsive, just waiting quietly, handling the situation with control and keeping the rhythm firmly in his hands.
At this moment, Lin Chen's gaze narrowed slightly, landing on the waist of the burly man in front.
Under the man's loose jacket, there was a faint bulge with a straight shape, concealing a cold, hard iron rod. This was a trap laid long ago; these people hadn't just come to cause trouble—they had come armed with weapons.
The henchman also saw that Li Wei would not be easy to deal with and waved his hand impatiently: "Don't waste words with him, just do it! Pull him away!"
The burly men exchanged glances and hesitated no longer.
The burly, fleshy-faced man in the front reached to his waist, pulled out an iron rod that flashed with a cold light, raised it high, and swung it viciously toward Li Wei with a whistle of wind.
