126: Chapter 126 The Clubhouse Surrounded, Li Wei Protects His Master
Outside the club, John brought his men to surround the place.
Several blinding headlights pierced the night, braking sharply at the villa entrance. The screech of tires against the pavement shattered the tranquility of Ban Shan Club.
Car doors were pushed open one after another, and over a dozen burly men in black tactical gear poured out. Each one looked fierce, gripping clubs in their hands, aggressively surrounding the villa entrance and blocking it completely.
John stepped out from the driver's seat. His hair was disheveled, his eyes still bloodshot, and his face retained a lingering sense of cruelty and frustration. His suit was wrinkled, having long lost its former dignity.
He stared fixedly at the villa door, his chest heaving violently. Thinking of the millions in funds lost, the humiliation of being counter-attacked by Ella, and the calm composure of Lin Chen, his rage instantly clouded his mind, causing him to lose all reason.
"Charge in and grab Lin Chen for me!" John roared at the burly men behind him, his voice hoarse and filled with hysterical madness. "Today, I must make him pay the price and spit out every cent of the money I lost, with interest! Whoever catches him will be heavily rewarded!"
The burly men moved at his command, waving their clubs as they rushed toward the villa gate with an imposing aura.
Li Wei was already standing guard in front of the gate. His figure was as straight as a pine, his hands pulled from his pockets and clenched into fists in front of him. His eyes were as sharp as an eagle's, fixed intently on the approaching crowd. A chilling aura emanated from him, showing not the slightest trace of fear.
"If you want to touch Brother Chen, kill me first!" Li Wei shouted, his voice loud and filled with unquestionable determination. Before the words had even faded, he rushed forward to meet them.
He was agile and swift, dodging the clubs swung at him and countering with a heavy punch to the chest of the leading man. The man let out a miserable shriek, stumbled back a few steps, and collapsed to the ground.
Chaos erupted instantly. In the open space outside the club, the crisp sound of clubs colliding, the roars of the men, and the thud of footsteps intertwined in a jumbled mess.
Passersby heard the commotion and stopped to watch, taking out their phones to record from a distance and whispering among themselves, but no one dared to step forward to intervene; the scene was utter chaos.
Li Wei fought off over a dozen burly men single-handedly without losing any ground. Having received professional training in his youth, he was agile, and every punch and kick was precise and powerful.
He dodged the enemy's attacks while landing precise counterattacks. Within a few minutes, several burly men had been beaten to the ground, wailing incessantly.
His arm was slashed by a club, and blood seeped out immediately, staining his sleeve red. Yet, he seemed completely unaware, continuing to stand firmly in front of the villa door with determined eyes. Even covered in wounds, he would never let anyone harm Lin Chen in the slightest.
"Trash! A bunch of trash!" John stood to the side, watching as the men he brought were beaten down by Li Wei one by one. Furious, he stepped forward and kicked a fallen man, roaring as he urged them on. "Get up, all of you, and keep going! You can't even handle one small bodyguard; what use are you to me!"
The kicked man scrambled to his feet, gritting his teeth as he charged up again, and the others followed suit, surrounding and attacking Li Wei in turns.
Li Wei gradually began to tire, beads of sweat covering his forehead. The pain from his wounds became increasingly intense, and his movements slowed slightly, but he still did not retreat a single step, steadfastly guarding the defensive line with his unwavering determination to protect his master.
Inside the private room of the club, the already heavy atmosphere became even more tense.
Lin Chen and Ella had just reached the door of the room when they heard the chaotic sounds from outside—the clashing of clubs, roars, and screams clearly reached their ears. They didn't need to guess to know that a fight was happening outside.
Lin Chen's eyes darkened, his footsteps halted, his fingertips curled slightly, and his expression became increasingly solemn.
He listened intently and could clearly hear John's roars. In his heart, he instantly understood that John had brought people to storm the place; this siege had long been premeditated.
Ella reacted extremely quickly and acted decisively, immediately taking out her phone and dialing Robert's number with swift fingers. Her tone was urgent but not panicked, clearly explaining the situation: "Robert, come to Ban Shan Club to help us! We are surrounded by John and his men. Li Wei is blocking them alone, and the situation is very dangerous!"
The reply came from Robert on the other end, steady and calm: "Don't worry, Miss Ella, I have already brought people and am on the way. I will arrive within ten minutes. You must protect yourselves and do not leave easily!"
"Okay, we will wait for you." Ella hung up the phone, clutching it tightly. Her eyes stared sharply at the room door, and the aura around her became cold and stern, ready to respond to any sudden situation at any moment.
She turned her head to look at Lin Chen, her tone laced with worry: "Mr. Lin, the situation outside is very chaotic. John has gone crazy and is trying to force his way in. I'm afraid Li Wei can't hold out for long on his own."
Lin Chen nodded slightly, his expression calm but filled with absolute confidence: "Don't worry, Li Wei is skilled, and Robert will be here soon. We cannot go out now; going out would only add trouble for Li Wei. Staying in the room is the best support we can give him."
His tone was steady, and a few words were enough to calm Ella's mind, demonstrating his quality of remaining calm in the face of danger.
The two guarded the room door, listening to the movement outside. Every sound of a club clashing and every roar tugged at their heartstrings.
Ella gripped her phone tightly, her fingertips turning white from the pressure. Her eyes were fixed on the door, fearing to hear news of Li Wei being injured.
Lin Chen remained composed, his fingertips gently tapping on the wall as he quickly calculated countermeasures in his mind, while also paying attention to the surroundings to prevent any stragglers from breaking in.
In the adjacent room, the lights were still dim. Zhou Mingyuan sat upright on the sofa, holding a glass of red wine in his hand, a malicious and triumphant smile on his lips as he watched the chaotic scene outside through the room's surveillance monitor with great relish.
He lifted his glass, took a light sip, his eyes filled with hidden joy, and his tone was languid yet sinister: "Lin Chen, John, fight all you want. The fiercer you fight, the happier I am. The final benefits will still be mine."
He had long anticipated that John would be desperate enough to jump over the wall, and he had long arranged the surveillance, just to watch Lin Chen and John both suffer losses and reap the benefits for himself.
Watching Li Wei's desperate efforts to protect his master and John's frantic state on the monitor, Zhou Mingyuan's smile became even more triumphant, as if he could already see the scene where he controlled Chenxing Investment and suppressed all his rivals.
The fighting outside intensified, and Li Wei's muffled groans could be heard faintly. Ella's heart jumped to her throat, and she couldn't help but want to rush out, but she was stopped firmly by Lin Chen.
"Don't be impulsive!" Lin Chen said with a firm tone, "Robert will be here soon. Let's wait a little longer. Going out now will only cause all our previous efforts to be wasted!"
Ella gritted her teeth, forcefully suppressing the anxiety in her heart, her eyes fixed on the door. The sound of fighting outside became clearer and clearer, and she could imagine Li Wei's current disheveled and difficult state.
John's roars continued unabated, filled with a crazy, cruel energy, as if he would never be satisfied until he caught Lin Chen.
Just then, a muffled grunt from Li Wei reached them, and immediately after, the sound of the fight outside seemed to weaken slightly.
Ella's expression changed drastically, and just as she was about to break free from Lin Chen's restraint again, a shrill siren sounded in the distance, followed by the sound of vehicles speeding over—Robert had finally arrived.
Hearing the sirens, John's face turned deathly pale in an instant, a flash of panic appearing in his eyes. But as soon as he thought of the millions in funds he had lost and that Lin Chen was inside, he gritted his teeth and roared: "Faster, a little faster! Catch Lin Chen before the police arrive!"
But as soon as his words fell, several headlights pierced the night, and Robert arrived with his men at high speed. However, it was a step too late—Li Wei had already been overwhelmed by numbers and was pressed firmly to the ground by the burly men.
He was covered in wounds, and blood from his forehead slid down his cheeks, soaking his collar. Yet, he still gritted his teeth, his eyes fixed on the villa gate. Even though he had been beaten to the ground, he did not show the slightest sign of yielding, still using all his strength to guard the Lin Chen inside.
Hearing the commotion outside, Lin Chen just raised his hand to push open the room door and saw Li Wei beaten to the ground.
