127: Chapter 127 Lin Chen's Fury, the Big Boss Exposed

Li Wei was pinned firmly to the cold ground by several burly men. Blood from his forehead trickled down his cheek, soaking the collar of his shirt, and the wound on his arm continued to ooze blood. His face was pale as paper and his lips were chapped, yet he kept his teeth clenched, his eyes showing not a hint of surrender as he stared fixedly in Lin Chen's direction, as if signaling him not to come closer and to stay safe.

Lin Chen, usually calm and composed, had his aura shatter in an instant. The tranquility in his eyes was replaced by bone-chilling coldness and towering rage; the air around him seemed to congeal, carrying a suffocating pressure.

He rushed forward, his steps hurried yet still steady, and shoved the burly men pinning Li Wei aside. His movements held an imperceptible tremor as he carefully helped Li Wei up, his fingertips avoiding the wounds. His voice was hoarse but carried an unquestionable power, each word squeezed out from between his teeth: "All of you will pay the price!"

Li Wei leaned weakly into Lin Chen's embrace, a trace of blood spilling from the corner of his mouth, and spoke with difficulty: "Brother Chen... I'm fine... don't worry..." Before he could finish, his vision went black, and he completely lost consciousness.

"Li Wei!" Lin Chen let out a low shout, his rage intensifying. He carefully helped him to the side, leaving him in the care of a waiter who had rushed over, then slowly turned around. His gaze was like a blade, fixed firmly on John and the burly men he had brought, the malevolence radiating from him almost enough to consume everyone present.

Ella rushed out of the private room right behind him, instantly blocking Lin Chen's path. With clenched fists and eyes sharp as blades, she stared at John and the others, her cold, fierce aura not losing out to them in the slightest, her desire to protect her master fully on display: "John, you dare to hurt Li Wei? I will never let you off today!"

John looked at the furious Lin Chen, stunned for a moment, before returning to his hysterical madness, a sinister smile curling at the corner of his mouth: "Lin Chen, you've finally decided to come out! Today, either you obediently return the money I lost, or I'll send you and this piece of trash to hell together!" The burly men behind him waved their clubs again, restless and ready to charge.

Just then, a sound of lazy footsteps approached. Zhou Mingyuan walked out of the adjacent room, holding a glass of red wine, moving unhurriedly. A malicious smile hung on his face, and his eyes swept over everyone present with contempt, as if everything were under his control. He walked up to John, patted his shoulder lightly, and said in a tone filled with smugness: "John, don't be impatient. The best part is yet to come."

Lin Chen's gaze instantly locked onto Zhou Mingyuan, his eyes cold and his tone carrying a bone-chilling frost: "Was it you? Did you lead John here?"

Zhou Mingyuan sneered and took a slow sip of his red wine. He made no effort to hide his scheme, openly admitting to his collusion with John in a sinister and cunning tone: "That's right, it was me. Lin Chen, you are too young and too arrogant. Do you really think you can stand firm in the investment circle on your own? I had already arranged everything with John. I brought you here so that you would either sign an unequal agreement and submit to me, or let John eliminate you entirely while I reap the rewards."

Ella was trembling with rage. She stepped forward and glared at Zhou Mingyuan: "You despicable villain! To think you'd play such dirty tricks. If you have the guts, compete fairly, don't resort to such underhanded schemes!"

The smile on Zhou Mingyuan's face became even more vicious, his eyes filled with disdain: "Fairness? In the world of capital, there is only winning and losing, not fairness. Lin Chen, be sensible. Obediently sign this agreement, give me thirty percent of Chenxing Investment's shares, and synchronize your core trading strategies. I can spare your lives and ensure both you and this piece of trash remain unharmed. Otherwise, you'll suffer the consequences!"

As he spoke, he gestured for his subordinates to produce a pre-prepared agreement and toss it in front of Lin Chen. The paper landed on the floor with a soft sound, yet it felt like a heavy hammer striking everyone's hearts. The terms in the agreement were extremely harsh, every word revealing the ambition to swallow up Chenxing Investment, leaving absolutely no room for negotiation.

Lin Chen glanced down at the agreement on the floor, then at the unconscious Li Wei. The rage in his eyes was almost burning. He slowly bent down, picked up the agreement, and tore it apart with force; the document instantly turned into shreds, scattering across the floor. He looked up, staring directly at Zhou Mingyuan, his tone firm and without a hint of compromise: "If you want me to sign this agreement, you'll have to kill me first! Don't think your conspiracy with John will succeed!"

The smile on Zhou Mingyuan's face vanished instantly, his eyes turning sinister and his tone chilling: "Lin Chen, don't be ungrateful! Since you refuse to compromise, don't blame me for being ruthless!" With that, he gave John a look, signaling him to act.

John understood and immediately roared: "Get them! Beat them all to the ground!" The burly men charged again, the atmosphere instantly becoming even more tense as a new fight was about to break out.

Ella immediately blocked Lin Chen, ready for battle, her eyes firm and showing not a hint of fear even when facing over a dozen burly men. Lin Chen clenched his fists tightly, his eyes burning with rage, ready to join the fight at any moment to avenge Li Wei and expose Zhou Mingyuan's scheme.

Just at this critical moment, the piercing sound of sirens rang out again, accompanied by the sound of speeding vehicles. Robert arrived at the clubhouse with several police officers. After getting out of the car, he immediately rushed over and shouted sternly: "Everyone stop! Come with me to the police station!"

The police quickly stepped forward, took out handcuffs, and controlled John and the burly men he had brought one by one. Their actions were swift, and they quickly stabilized the chaotic situation. Passersby outside the clubhouse saw this and began to discuss, their eyes filled with disdain and curiosity as they looked at Zhou Mingyuan and John.

John, controlled by the police, was still unwilling to give up. He struggled frantically and roared: "Let me go! I'm innocent! It was Lin Chen who caused me to lose millions, and it was Zhou Mingyuan who told me to come here!"

Zhou Mingyuan's expression changed drastically. He hadn't expected Robert to arrive so quickly, nor had he expected John to sell him out on the spot. He forced himself to remain calm and tried to defend himself: "Officers, don't listen to his nonsense. I have no relationship with him at all. I just came here for tea and don't know what happened."

"For tea?" Robert sneered, took out his phone, and pulled up the recording of the previous call between Zhou Mingyuan and John, as well as footage of him observing the fight through surveillance. "Mr. Zhou, at this point, do you still want to quibble? This evidence is enough to prove that you colluded with John to intentionally surround and injure people, with the intent of swallowing up Chenxing Investment. Stop deceiving yourself."

Looking at the evidence on Robert's phone, Zhou Mingyuan's face turned completely pale. His legs went weak, and he nearly collapsed to the ground. His meticulously planned conspiracy was completely exposed; he was truly reaping what he was sown. The police stepped forward, ready to handcuff Zhou Mingyuan.

Just then, Zhou Mingyuan's private phone suddenly rang. There was no name on the screen, only a string of unknown numbers. His eyes instantly lit up as if he had grasped a lifeline. He hurriedly broke free from the police's restraint and answered the call, his tone respectful and urgent: "Hello, Boss, I'm surrounded by the police, please save me!"

A low and authoritative voice came from the other end of the line. The tone was cold but carried plenty of confidence: "What are you panicking about? I've already made arrangements. Don't worry, I will ensure you get out of jail; no one can do anything to you. Also, tell Lin Chen that there is no good ending for those who oppose me."

Upon hearing this, a smug smile instantly appeared on Zhou Mingyuan's face. After hanging up the phone, he looked provocatively at Lin Chen, his tone arrogant: "Lin Chen, do you think it's over just because you caught me? The person behind me is someone you can't afford to offend! I'll be out soon, and when that time comes, I will make you and Chenxing Investment pay a painful price!"

Watching Zhou Mingyuan's arrogant demeanor, the coldness in Lin Chen's eyes deepened. He understood instantly that there was a larger capital backer behind Zhou Mingyuan, and this game was far from over. As for who the mysterious backer on the other end of the phone was, and what actions they would take against him and Chenxing Investment, everything remained unknown.
