199: Chapter 199 Cataclysmic Disaster

As soon as the battle commenced, Gao Yuan realized his battleships were at a disadvantage.

In terms of both speed and weaponry, within minutes, Gao Yuan saw at least five battleships fall.

Gao Yuan had previously fantasized about peaceful coexistence with other civilizations through negotiation, but now they weren't giving him the chance to negotiate at all; it hadn't been long, and they had already attacked Earth several times.

It seemed Gao Qiu's previous guess was correct; these civilizations might all be like him, receiving support from a Future World where time flowed differently. Otherwise, with such capabilities, they would have controlled the entire Solar System long ago.

Gao Yuan felt a wave of helplessness wash over him.

He had originally thought he was the chosen one.

But now it seemed he was just a lucky individual on Earth, and other civilizations likely had their own lucky individuals just like him.

Only such civilizations would be so full of the desire for expansion!

At this moment, the moon-class battleships from the lunar fleet began to launch suicide attacks against those enemy ships.

These battleships were all controlled by robots.

Even so, it was filled with a sense of tragic heroism.

Gao Yuan saw three of his battleships ramming a triangular alien ship from three different directions.

Two of them were destroyed before they could even get close. The last battleship maneuvered constantly amidst laser beams, and at the moment it was hit, it finally succeeded in crashing into the enemy ship.

Two battleships from different civilizations lost control and turned into space fireworks, with countless fragments falling into the atmosphere.

Those alien battleships all had a layer of energy shielding on their surfaces. The Laser Cannons on his own ships hit them but couldn't break through that energy shield at all.

Only the shells from the Electromagnetic Cannons, carrying massive physical kinetic energy, could make the shields vibrate upon impact.

Gao Yuan felt a surge of despair.

This wouldn't work.

The number of battleships was roughly equal, but the performance of his ships was far too inferior.

If they were sun-class battleships or super sun-class ships, they might be able to contend with the enemy. The moon-class battleships were already the ceiling of combat power on Earth, but they were still too weak in comparison.

Even if Gao Yuan wanted to produce more advanced battleships now, he first needed to survive this current crisis.

The battleship confrontation would sooner or later lead to total annihilation.

Gao Yuan remembered when Gao Qiu attacked Ceres, countless mechas descended from the sky, and the defense system of Ceres was instantly pierced!

So Gao Yuan gave the order for the robots to pilot mechas and jump out of the battleships. The mechas were smaller and possessed Antimatter bullets, allowing them to evade better.

Soon, tens of thousands of mechas jumped out of the battleships and launched a charge toward those alien ships.

Gao Yuan himself put on a mecha and jumped out of the battleship.

At this moment, the blood in Gao Yuan's chest began to boil.

Defend Earth, defend humanity...

Just then.

The massive number of mechas were like a pack of hyenas rushing an elephant. Although the enemy's battleships were advanced, their attack results were steadily diminishing.

The mechas lunged at the battleships, using Antimatter bullets to break through the energy shields. The moon-class battleships certainly had Antimatter Cannons, but they could only fire once and required a long preparation time; mechas were different...

Antimatter bullets were very small, but they were just enough to break the enemy's energy shields. Seizing the moment before the shields could recover, the mechas jumped directly onto the opposing battleships, their Antimatter bullets constantly damaging the hulls...

Laser beams could cut through vital components on the battleships!

The tactic soon proved effective.

The opposing side lost over a dozen battleships in quick succession.

Gao Yuan was overjoyed.

At that moment, the enemy's flagship suddenly flashed with white light, and a white light wave rapidly expanded outward.

Wherever this light wave passed, Gao Yuan saw his mechas crashing one after another as if they had lost control.

β€œWhat is this?”

Soon, the light wave reached Gao Yuan. At that moment, he found that the mecha's intelligent system had failed.

His own mecha also began to fall rapidly.

At the critical moment, he immediately activated manual mode.

After falling less than ten thousand meters, he regained control of the mecha and piloted it back to the battlefield, but by this time, his mechas had almost all crashed.

The situation reversed once again at this moment.

Gao Yuan could only rely on the battleships now.

But he knew his fleet wouldn't last long.

Was Earth's humanity to become the first civilization to be destroyed?

Gao Yuan was unwilling to accept this...

Once the fleet was destroyed, Earth would no longer have the ability to stop these invaders.

Gao Yuan glanced back...

He saw the Xia Country space station, which was currently using its only remaining power to ram into one of the enemy battleships.

But a white light flashed on the battleship...

The Electromagnetic Cannon fired, and a circular iron ball directly pierced through the space station. Inside the space station, there was a loud boom.

Gao Yuan's eyes instantly turned red.

He remembered his excitement when Xia Country launched its first core module; the whole country had celebrated back then.

But now...

That fully formed space station was destroyed.

Without causing a single ripple, it was like stepping on an ant.

Along with the astronauts inside the cabin, it turned into cosmic dust.

Gao Yuan roared, piloting his mecha and charging forward.

Constantly evading various attacks from the enemy ship in mid-air, he successfully latched onto the enemy battleship. Gao Yuan broke through the energy shield, and with Antimatter bullets, he tore a large hole in the hull. Then, with a flash of his silhouette, he slipped into the battleship and began to slaughter the crew inside!

This was the first time Gao Yuan had seen the 'people' inside!

He didn't know if they were Venusians or from Mercury, but in any case, they were short, only about 80 centimeters tall, yet they looked remarkably like humans. Gao Yuan's intrusion was like a tiger entering a flock of sheep, and soon the 'people' in the entire battleship were gone.

Gao Yuan directly destroyed the control console!

The battleship began to move erratically. Gao Yuan slipped out of the ship and saw it vibrating constantly as it collided with the surrounding alien battleships...

After it crashed into and destroyed two battleships in a row, the other ships began to evade, but this evasion led to a chaotic formation, and even more battleships began to collide...

At this moment, Gao Yuan saw a glimmer of hope for survival.

He repeated the tactic.

Flying toward another battleship, whether it was because his skills were truly superb or because the god of fate favored him, Gao Yuan was actually unscathed amidst the dense laser beams and electromagnetic rounds...

Entering the interior of another battleship once more, by the time Gao Yuan came out, this ship also began to ram around wildly!

Meanwhile, at the Xia Country Aerospace Center on the ground, the large screen in the lecture hall was broadcasting this space battle in real-time via satellite...

The atmosphere in the lecture hall was very solemn, as everyone watched the war with tension.

When they saw Gao Yuan's battleships were vulnerable under the enemy fleet's attacks and could only resort to suicide missions, some people cried.

When the Xia Country space station slowly rammed into an alien battleship, everyone's eyes stung with tears.

They knew the outcome, yet they hoped for a miracle.

In space, when they saw a lone mecha charging toward the massive enemy fleet... everyone's heart was filled with desolation.

It's over, humanity is finished.

But then, a miracle occurred!
