210: Chapter 210 Jupiterians

Gao Yuan fell into deep thought.

This civilization, which he wasn't sure was from Mars or Jupiter, had actually sent robots.

It was a pity he didn't have the shockwaves from Venus or Mercury; otherwise, these robots would all be paralyzed!

However, the robots must have a command system.

It was likely on those warships.

Gao Yuan began searching for those warships.

They could cloak while in the air.

But once they landed, there would definitely be traces.

Gao Yuan began a comprehensive scan of the ground.

Gao Yuan had seen these warships before and knew their shapes and dimensions.

This helped Gao Yuan quickly lock onto the locations of the invaders on Earth.

If he could destroy these warships, he could trap the robots on Earth; without a command system, the robots would be easier to deal with.

Red dots began appearing on the virtual screen in front of Gao Yuan, all of which were suspicious targets flagged by the satellite monitoring system.

Gao Yuan immediately made assignments. There were over three hundred targets in total, with new-model mechas assigned to counter each one, while the remaining mechas began clearing out the aliens on the spot...

Gao Yuan piloted his mecha toward the nearest warship.

The warship wasn't hard to find; since they had landed on the ground, there were bound to be traces. He had originally been worried about encountering resistance.

But when he found the warship, the mecha fired a few laser beams from a distance, yet there was no response at all.

No one inside?

Gao Yuan was somewhat surprised.

What was going on?

Where were the weapons on this warship?

Gao Yuan tentatively entered the interior of the warship.

Having already arrived, he fired a Faster-Than-Light Particle Beam Weapon directly through the warship as a precaution.

The warship caught fire, and Gao Yuan used his mecha to tear open the hull. The scene inside left him stunned.

It was empty—no living quarters, no command center, no radar room. It was completely hollow...

However, in the center, there was a triangular crystal. Through its casing, a pink substance could be seen inside.

Gao Yuan took the object.

He needed to study what these were.

Immediately, Gao Yuan notified the other new-model mechas to check for Triangular Crystal Objects if they hadn't destroyed their target warships yet.

...

After Gao Yuan left, he saw many robots around the warship suddenly stop moving.

It was as if they had lost power.

Gao Yuan felt a surge of joy; it seemed his guess was correct. These robots were controlled by the warships. Now that the warship was gone, the robots didn't know what to do.

However, Gao Yuan was somewhat surprised. These robots were different from his own intelligent robots; their intelligence was limited. If he were to die, the robots he produced would still continue their missions just like humans.

This was likely the difference between mechanical civilizations of different cultures.

Gao Yuan notified the other mechas to quickly destroy the targets. On the ground, if they lost their cloaking ability, the warships were simply no match for the mechas.

Two hours later, the three hundred warships had been dealt with...

A large number of robots had turned into scrap metal.

These robots were collected and stored in a warehouse in a mountain valley in the northern suburbs of Qinjing for later research.

Gao Yuan was currently at the Xia Academy of Sciences, where Zhong Guoqiang had returned to serve as the dean.

At that moment, in a secret research facility, a total of fifty Triangular Crystal Objects were laid out on a table.

"What exactly are these? Elder Zhong, you've been studying them for a while now. Any leads?"

"Yes... these crystal-like objects contain massive amounts of energy. The thing inside should be a parasitic organism. Theoretically, this crystal object can sustain the life within for hundreds of thousands of years!"

"Life? Energy?"

Gao Yuan was a bit dazed.

"Elder Zhong, do you mean to say that these things are the aliens?"

"It's very likely!"

"But that doesn't make sense. Providing energy requires machinery or a reaction. How can an object like this possess energy?"

"Those are just the laws of Earth. This object must have existed in a high-temperature, high-pressure environment for a very long time, containing immense energy within. Once it enters a low-pressure, low-temperature environment, it slowly releases that energy!"

High temperature and high pressure!

Gao Yuan knew where these civilizations came from.

In the Solar System, besides the Sun, the only place where a high-temperature, high-pressure environment could exist was Jupiter.

But it would be Jupiter itself, not its moons!

If Jovians had appeared here, then Mars had likely already been conquered.

But this didn't seem right. Although the Jovians' entrance was flashy and they struck hard at first, they completely fell apart afterward. What was going on?

Do the Jovians have no physical bodies? Are they just those worm-like things inside the crystal objects?

Zhong Guoqiang continued.

"We've conducted a comprehensive study of this object and detected that it emits high-energy rays with a control range of up to ten thousand kilometers! We suspect they use these rays to control the robots, as we found no data processing centers or chips in them! The interior of these robots is pure machinery with only a simple receiver!"

Gao Yuan narrowed his eyes.

"So that means there's actually only one alien in each warship, and all those robots are avatars controlled by it!"

"Elder Zhong, can we break open these crystal objects? To see if what's inside is actually a living being?"

Zhong Guoqiang shook his head. "We can't break it. This crystal object is harder than anything we've ever seen! Even our best tools can't open it. If we were to force it open, it would destroy the tissues inside!"

Gao Yuan was stunned.

"Harder than everything we have? Harder than warship hulls and mecha armor plates?"

"Yes, much harder. At least three times the hardness of our warship hulls!"

Hiss...

Gao Yuan sucked in a breath of cold air.

Zhong Guoqiang continued, "High temperature and high pressure are useless against it. We can only try low temperatures and a vacuum environment now to see if the object becomes more fragile!"

"Alright, Elder Zhong. You carry on with the research and notify me as soon as you have results!"

Gao Yuan left the Academy of Sciences. In just half a day, Earth had suffered immense destruction. More than half of Qinjing was destroyed, and the number of casualties reached millions!

The city needed to be rebuilt, the casualties needed comfort, and Gao Yuan had to return to the Moon to prevent any reversals in the situation there.

There was much to do.

When Gao Yuan returned to the Moon, the war there was still ongoing. Micro-mechas were still engaged in dogfights with the alien warships in the sky.

Gao Yuan was somewhat puzzled. These warships were so agile now with so many attack patterns, yet once they landed on Earth, they seemed to lose their aggressiveness and mobility.

Could it be that these aliens can only choose to control either the warship or the robots?

Gao Yuan ordered the new-model warships to join the battle.

The stalemate quickly began to turn!

After a warship crashed this time, Gao Yuan specifically intercepted one to see if the interior was the same as the ones on Earth... When he saw the inside of the warship, he was dumbfounded again. It was different!
