90: Chapter 90: We Made It Through

Su Dai admitted that the insects in the forest were indeed impossible to guard against...

But why did he have to charge through the insect swarm?

After only a few steps, he encountered Bullet Ants and Killer Bees, and he could see spiders hanging from the trees... Just by looking at their colors, he knew they were highly toxic. There were gaps in his face mask; if one of them sprayed venom, he would likely have to take medicine again.

So... Su Dai prepared to cross through the swamp.

He changed into a one-piece rubber suit so that even if there were insects in the swamp, it wouldn't matter.

He could just charge straight through.

He gave Gao Yuan a 'V' sign and then stepped into the swamp.

Gao Yuan showed a look of pity.

Poor kid...

Actually, if he just changed his helmet, he could at least walk through the woods to reach the tiger...

But the swamp...

Do you think crocodiles are vegetarians?

Gao Yuan shook his head...

Su Dai began to trudge through the swamp with difficulty...

He found the swamp hard to traverse, but surprisingly, there were no insects like leeches or bloodsuckers...

This disappointed him slightly; there were only a few rotten logs floating on the shallow water.

As he walked past a rotten log, he even flashed a 'V' sign at Gao Yuan. Then, in the next moment, the rotten log suddenly lunged, and a massive mouth 'shot' out, biting Su Dai's leg...

Gao Yuan shook his head; it was too tragic...

Su Dai was dragged down directly by the crocodile, and he even suspected his leg bone had cracked.

"Gao Yuan... I give up!"

Su Dai shouted...

At that moment, two robots appeared just in time, firing several anesthetic darts into the crocodile...

The crocodile let go, and only then did Su Dai crawl back...

Dragging one leg, a medical robot came over to treat him.

Fortunately, he admitted defeat quickly.

Su Dai's leg only had a minor fracture. Given the medical conditions of the Future World, he was fine after treatment.

"Young Master Su, do you want to try again?"

Su Dai looked defiant: "Of course I'll try. You really went all out, even managing to find a crocodile... Wild crocodiles have been extinct for centuries, there are only mutant ones now. I don't know where you got it! But I believe I can make it across..."

"Still going through the swamp?"

"No, I realized I was misled by you. Actually, the insects are easy to deal with..."

Su Dai quickly adjusted his strategy, putting on a helmet and then using cowhide to protect his neck. "Gao Yuan, I'll definitely make it across this time..."

Gao Yuan made a 'please' gesture: "Please, begin your performance..."

Su Dai held a flamethrower and walked forward. This time, he sprayed fire whenever he saw Killer Bees, which was very effective...

And because his whole body was tightly wrapped, the Bullet Ants had no chance to get in.

As for the Tarantulas and Giant Centipedes, although they successfully landed on Su Dai...

They couldn't pierce through the Bright Mirror Armor on his body...

Su Dai looked determined: "Hey Gao Yuan, what other tricks do you have?"

He soon advanced fifty meters. The swamp on both sides disappeared, turning into woods, and a pond appeared in the middle...

Su Dai began to hesitate...

His Bright Mirror Armor was very heavy and not suitable for moving through water, plus he was wrapped tightly and had a flamethrower in his hand.

So he chose to go through the woods.

As soon as he entered, he heard a roar...

It made his eardrums go numb. A striped South China Tiger appeared in the woods and pounced toward Su Dai...

The aura of the King of the Forest completely suppressed Su Dai's confidence...

He reflexively turned on the flamethrower. Hit by the flames, the South China Tiger immediately dodged out of fear, trying to bypass the fire...

Su Dai stared at the tiger, spraying fire while he walked, but the tiger was too agile in the woods...

He leaned against a tree, wanting to rest for a moment and then drive the tiger away...

At that moment, a massive Python head shot down from the tree, its scarlet tongue flickering in front of Su Dai...

Su Dai gave a strange cry and tried to leave the tree. Before he could run, he felt his legs tighten, and then a giant Python coiled around him...

The crossbow at his waist was crushed by the Python's immense strength before he even had a chance to take it out. He felt like his waist was going to break. He turned the flamethrower to spray the Python... but in the next moment, his hands were also pinned, limiting his aim.

Fortunately, the Bright Mirror Armor's defense was truly strong, and Su Dai could still hold on. He kept the flamethrower's trigger pressed. The Python was finally burned and felt the pain; with a flick of its tail, it struck Su Dai's leg, sending him flying...

He happened to land less than three meters away from the tiger, which immediately pounced...

Years of experience in extreme sports made Su Dai's muscle reactions very fast. Almost reflexively, he pulled the trigger. Flames sprayed out, and the tiger twisted its body in mid-air. The smell of burnt fur filled the air...

Su Dai panted heavily. How thrilling...

He was playing for the adrenaline. A tiger, a giant Python... what else was there?

Su Dai kept a wary eye on both the Python and the tiger as he retreated step by step...

Suddenly, a massive black paw swiped from behind, dazing Su Dai and knocking the flamethrower away...

Only then did he see a giant Black Bear behind him...

Su Dai was dumbfounded. Without the flamethrower, what should he do?

Before he could react, the Black Bear swiped again...

Su Dai flew again and crashed into a large tree. The impact shifted his internal organs, and a wave of nausea hit his chest...

Then he saw the Black Bear walking over, intending to step on his chest.

He panicked.

Ignoring the weight now, he scrambled and jumped into the pond...

The water wasn't very deep, reaching his chest. In the water, Su Dai gasped for air. That damn Gao Yuan, does he really want to kill me?

This is too ruthless...

In this water... there won't be crocodiles, right?

Su Dai looked around and didn't see any rotten logs, so he breathed a sigh of relief. Gao Yuan, oh Gao Yuan, you're still not thorough enough. This pond actually doesn't have—

Just as he was thinking that, he suddenly heard movement underwater. He felt the plates of his Bright Mirror Armor making a creaking sound.

He looked down and saw a type of small fish with mouths full of teeth biting his iron armor.

When the fish bit the armor plates, they actually managed to leave tooth marks.

What made Su Dai even more desperate was that the plates of the Bright Mirror Armor were connected by cowhide. By now, a fish had already torn off a piece of cowhide...

What the hell...

If he stayed in the water for a few more minutes, the Bright Mirror Armor would fall apart.

He would also become fish food.

Su Dai ran forward for his life. With the tiger, giant Python, and Black Bear in the woods on both sides, he didn't dare go ashore and could only stay in the water. Su Dai felt like his lungs were going to explode, but he didn't dare stop...

Su Dai ran the hundred-meter distance in five minutes. When he got ashore, he found the armor plates covered in dense tooth marks, and many plates had already fallen off the hem. Both boots also had many holes. If it weren't for his good stamina, he might have been left in the water.

He sat on the bank looking at the school of fish in the water, his heart still racing with fear...

But fortunately, he had made it through.
