264: Chapter 264 is resolved!

It wasn't an issue with the basic chemical formula.

The problem lay in the temperature gradient control during the coating's curing process, as well as the dipole moment alignment direction of the carbon nanotubes under the microwave field!

In the project team's previous experiments, they had used a conventional linear heating curve during high-temperature curing. This caused extremely minute topological defects in the absorbent lattice within the coating. It wasn't noticeable under normal circumstances, but when high-frequency radar waves hit it, these tiny defects would produce electromagnetic scattering, directly consuming that thirty percent of stealth performance!

It had only taken a short ten days or so.

Zhao Yang had completely finished processing this vast sea of data. He not only identified where the problem lay but also, through a mathematical model he wrote himself, successfully ran dozens of simulations on the base's supercomputer, confirming a perfect logical closed loop without any issues.

At the same time, he conveniently provided a precise non-linear temperature control curve equation, pointing toward a brand-new technological direction to thoroughly repair this kind of lattice defect.

The morning after finishing all of this.

Zhao Yang pushed open the door to the data analysis room, holding a newly printed report covered in control equations.

Walking into the central control hall, he handed the report directly to Academician Luo and Academician Tian, who were arranging experimental tasks.

"The problem has been identified."

Zhao Yang's voice carried a hint of raspiness as he spoke slowly, "The problem lies in the temperature gradient control during the coating's curing process, as well as the dipole moment alignment direction of the carbon nanotubes under the microwave field."

He pointed at the data columns in the report and continued, "I've fine-tuned the formula; readjust the curing parameters of the reaction kettle. Additionally, try lowering the ferrite doping ratio by 0.05%. Do it according to this, and the stealth performance should be restored."

More than ten days of high-intensity, secluded work was indeed extremely draining on one's energy.

Even though Zhao Yang possessed a superhuman physique as high as 26 and was supported by Deep Sleep and energy potions, he still felt physically and mentally exhausted at this moment.

That was hundreds of terabytes of raw experimental data!

Zhao Yang had handled the workload of a large, top-tier team's half-year of work all by himself. Even with his Photographic Memory and the processing power of a supercomputer, this intensity of work was still unimaginable.

Academician Tian and Academician Luo, taking the documents and looking at the exhausted Zhao Yang before them, were completely stunned.

The two looked at each other. Although they had long known Zhao Yang was a once-in-a-century genius, they never dreamed that his speed could actually reach such a level!

It had only been a short ten-plus days!

How on earth did he do it? This was simply impossible!

Could a human brain really have an Photographic Memory? Even with supercomputer assistance, that experimental data consisted of messy raw parameters that were very troublesome to process. Just organizing the data into categories and formats readable by a supercomputer would normally take a team one or two months.

But Zhao Yang had actually identified the problem within that mess of data and even directly provided the solution and a brand-new formula!

In just over ten days, Zhao Yang alone had solved a deadlock that their team of over a hundred people hadn't found in over half a year! Was this still a brain a human could possess?

Seeing Academician Luo and Academician Tian standing there in a daze, Zhao Yang's brow furrowed slightly.

"What's wrong?"

Zhao Yang looked at the two of them in confusion and asked.

"Is there something wrong with the data? Or is the direction of the formula I gave incorrect? If there's an issue, I'll go back and re-derive it now."

"No, no, no problem! We'll look at it first!"

Academician Luo and Academician Tian snapped back to their senses. They glanced at each other, both seeing the embarrassment and extreme shock in the other's eyes, and hurriedly waved their hands at Zhao Yang.

As they spoke, the two lowered their heads and focused their gaze on the report in their hands.

A layman looks at the surface, while an expert looks at the substance.

After looking for just a short while, the eyes of the two academicians grew brighter and brighter. The temperature control equation Zhao Yang provided was like a key, instantly unlocking the dead ends in their previous thinking.

"So that's how it is! Lattice topological defects! We completely ignored the dipole moment alignment under the high-temperature microwave field!" Academician Tian slapped his thigh excitedly.

He turned around abruptly and loudly issued an order to the nearby researchers: "Immediately notify the reaction kettle operation group in Workshop No. 1! Completely scrap the previous heating program and re-prepare the coating samples strictly according to the new parametric equation provided by Dr. Zhao!"

Following the brand-new experimental direction provided by Zhao Yang, the scientific researchers of the entire base quickly began re-conducting the experiments.

It took another three full days!

After the samples of the new formula were successfully prepared, they were quickly sent to the country's highest-level anechoic chamber to begin full-band radar wave irradiation testing.

When the final test data curve appeared on the large screen in the central control hall...

The entire hall fell into a dead silence that lasted for half a minute.

Everyone held their breath, staring fixedly at the parameters on the screen.

Then, a violent burst of cheering erupted throughout the hall! Everyone's faces were filled with extreme excitement.

They had finally completely settled this special coating before the military project's deadline!

The data on the screen clearly showed that under the X and Ku bands, the new coating's radar cross-section not only perfectly made up for the previously missing thirty percent performance deficit...

Its electromagnetic wave absorption rate was even a full five percent higher than the theoretical design baseline from when they first launched the project!

The results completely exceeded expectations!

General Li, having heard the news, strode into the hall. After seeing the final results on the large screen, he walked quickly to Zhao Yang and excitedly grasped Zhao Yang's hand with both of his.

"Dr. Zhao, you have done a massive favor for the country and the military! On behalf of the General Armaments Department, I express my most sincere gratitude to you!" General Li's voice was sonorous.

The nearby Academician Luo and Academician Tian also stepped forward, their tones full of admiration.

"Dr. Zhao, your data analysis and processing capabilities really put us old guys to shame. Thank you so much!"

Academician Tian remarked with emotion.

Facing everyone's thanks, Zhao Yang's expression didn't change much. He just looked at the data on the screen and breathed a slight sigh of relief.

As long as the direction was right and the situation wasn't bad, it was fine.

"General Li, Academician Tian, since there's no problem with the data, then my work is finished." Zhao Yang directly proposed his departure to General Li, "There are still some things at the university; I need to head back."

"Good! I'll arrange it immediately!" General Li granted permission at once and personally arranged a special vehicle and fully armed guards to escort Zhao Yang back to school.

Standing at the entrance of the hall, Academician Luo, Academician Tian, and General Li watched Zhao Yang's departing back, their eyes filled with extremely complex emotions.

All three of them felt that Zhao Yang's Intelligence was simply at a non-human level, outrageously strong.

Not only that, but his physical stamina was also like a monster's. After staying up for ten consecutive days, sleeping only two or three hours a day while processing massive amounts of data—an ordinary person would have dropped dead or ended up in the ICU long ago—yet he could still walk out on his own with a calm expression.

"General Li, we must file a report with the higher-ups," Academician Luo suggested with a grave expression. "Hurry and arrange the most comprehensive and highest-level medical checkup for Dr. Zhao. For a top-tier scientist of national treasure status like him, his body absolutely cannot have any potential hidden risks."

"I understand. I'll report and implement it as soon as I get back," General Li agreed, deeply convinced.

...

Zhao Yang took the car and returned to the school without any obstacles along the way.

After reaching the faculty apartments at Peking University, he didn't do anything. He just found some high-calorie food to fill his stomach, didn't even take a bath, and lay directly on the bed, falling asleep the moment his head hit the pillow.

After ten-plus days of high-intensity mental labor, even with a physical fitness score as high as 26 points, his nervous system needed a complete forced shutdown to recover.

This sleep lasted until noon the next day.
