33: Chapter 33 Online stores are the future!

Wang Ya looked at Song Xi in front of her, confused.

"Although he seems pretty good right now, when it comes to family background, he can't compare to Young Master Wang, can he? And as for his educational background, he's just a 211 graduate."

"Xi Xi, it's not that I want to lecture you, but this Zhao Yang is actually just so-so. If you really won his affection, you'd probably end up like someone like Li Jun."

"You just feel like your charm isn't enough, that Zhao Yang suddenly stopped liking you, but then suddenly became very impressive, so you're unwilling to let it go!"

Wang Ya scrutinized her best friend beside her.

To be honest, she was truly worthy of being Song Xi's best friend. She understood her very well, and in just a few sentences, she had almost seen right through Song Xi.

Song Xi's thoughts had been completely laid bare by Wang Ya.

Song Xi's face flushed slightly.

She couldn't help but defend herself a little.

"No, I just really think the way Zhao Yang handled things was cool..."

"Enough. I might not know others, but don't I know you?"

Wang Ya said to Song Xi, sounding annoyed.

"Don't interact with Zhao Yang anymore! I always feel that as long as Zhao Yang acts cold towards you, you'll be unwilling to let it go and keep throwing yourself at him. There's no need! Why bother trying to prove a point?"

Song Xi's face turned pale, then flushed, then pale again.

In the end, she remained silent. She knew that although her best friend's words were harsh, many of them were facts, so she didn't refute them.

Indeed! From now on, she had to think less about that Zhao Yang! It would be best not to see him at all!

Song Xi silently told herself. She had also realized that during this time, whenever she met with Zhao Yang, she always felt that everything about him was great. He seemed like a completely different person from before, having become very impressive.

It always gave her a feeling of regret, as if she had missed out on something. Perhaps it was precisely because of this feeling that she was so unwilling to let go!

Thinking of this, Song Xi looked at Wang Ya beside her.

"Ya Ya, you're right!"

Song Xi took a deep breath. "I really shouldn't meet with Zhao Yang anymore. Every time I meet with Zhao Yang, my heart gets into a mess. You must remember to remind me in the future!"

"Mm-hmm!" Seeing that Song Xi had realized it herself, Wang Ya breathed a sigh of relief and nodded repeatedly as she said,

"Then, Young Master Wang invited us to see a movie tomorrow, are we going?" Wang Ya's eyes turned, and she looked at Song Xi with a smile as she asked.

"Going!" Song Xi nodded.

The two of them left the restaurant arm in arm.

On the other side, Zhao Yang and his parents had basically seen the guests off.

Apart from Grandfather and Grandmother, as well as his aunts and uncles who went to check out Zhao Yang's house, the other friends and relatives had basically all left.

There was no help for it; Zhao Yang's house couldn't accommodate so many friends and relatives arriving all at once.

Arriving at home, his eldest uncle was the first to see the large bag of clothes in the corner of Zhao Yang's house. He looked at Father Zhao with some curiosity and asked,

"So many clothes, what did you buy them for?"

The other relatives nearby also looked at Father Zhao with curious gazes.

"Oh! It's Yang Yang. During the summer vacation, he was learning from others to do business. I don't know where he heard it from, but he insisted on selling clothes online! So he bought them."

"Selling clothes online?" Hearing Father Zhao's words, including Grandfather and Grandmother, his three aunts, one uncle, and one eldest uncle, they all looked at each other in bewilderment.

In this day and age, everything related to online shopping was still too novel. In a small city like Changcheng, not many people had even heard of it.

"You can actually sell things online?" Zhao Yang's youngest aunt asked curiously. "How do you sell them?" She looked at Zhao Yang with great interest as she asked.

Zhao Yang gave a rough description.

"It sounds good, but wouldn't you be completely limited by the platform? And online transfers... what if people apply for refunds? Also returns, wouldn't that be very troublesome?"

His youngest aunt did a little business herself, and after hearing Zhao Yang's description, she shook her head repeatedly. She felt that this kind of business was not viable!

Zhao Yang smiled and didn't explain further. In fact, physical stores had their own advantages, and in 2008, physical stores were the mainstream.

The profit margins of physical stores were not low at all! Moreover, it was cash on delivery, so there was absolutely no need to worry about issues like returns. There was also no need to ship packages yourself. And there was no need to worry about the platform withholding traffic. In short, in 2008, physical businesses also had great potential, as long as you could sell the products. But the principle was actually the same.

"Young people just love to mess around with these trendy things. Don't take it too seriously; studying hard is what really matters!" the eldest uncle said to Zhao Yang.

"You already failed this College Entrance Examination. Although you managed to get into a 211 university by picking up leftovers during the volunteer application process, the fact remains that you failed the College Entrance Examination. You don't want to repeat a year, and your uncle won't force you, but I hope you will be serious when you get to university and get a postgraduate degree!"

His eldest uncle was the vice-principal of a township middle school, and he carried some of the dignity of a teacher. When he was a child, Zhao Yang was quite afraid of him. But now, he didn't have that feeling at all.

"Mm, don't worry, Uncle. In my plan, I do intend to pursue a postgraduate degree, and I'll apply directly to one in the capital when the time comes." Zhao Yang smiled and said to his uncle.

His uncle nodded and didn't dwell on this matter further.

The family was harmonious, chatting for a while about future plans. After the relatives encouraged Zhao Yang a few times, everyone left one after another. After all, there weren't many rooms in Zhao Yang's house, and there were too many people to accommodate. Originally, Father Zhao and Mother Zhao wanted Grandfather and Grandmother to stay the night, but the problem was the same: there weren't enough rooms. There was no choice but to see them off.

After entertaining the guests, Zhao Yang sat on the chair in his room, and his whole body relaxed instantly.

Although he was a reborn person, he was not at all unfamiliar with welcoming, entertaining, and socializing; he could even be said to be very proficient at it. But that didn't mean Zhao Yang liked these things.

In his past life, he hated these things, but because he lacked the ability to do scientific research, to survive in the company, he had to hone these social skills. Otherwise, he would forever be destined to be at the bottom of the company. Under such circumstances, Zhao Yang barely managed to hone them. It was truly honed by gritting his teeth; Zhao Yang actually hated socializing.

Thinking of this, Zhao Yang sighed softly. Socializing is really terrible; it's really not as good as reading a few more books!

After resting for a while, Zhao Yang opened the book next to him and continued to study. He understood very well that if he wanted to reduce socializing and still get ahead, there was only one way. Be awesome enough! Once you are truly awesome, socializing? So-called socializing is just perfunctory flattery to others; there is no need to look at anyone's face at all! On the contrary, others will have to look at his face!
