114: Chapter 114 The three of you meet again.

After hearing Xia Jin's question, the Old Man in Green Shirt, who carried an ancient sword on his back, felt his heart tighten involuntarily. Daring not to show the slightest negligence, he hurriedly pointed toward the north.

"Fellow Daoist, just now, several factions were here competing for a newly unearthed treasure. One of the factions consisted of three people who used a Divine Soul secret technique to ambush us. After seizing the treasure, they fled north in a large bell. The others have all chased after them."

"Three people, and a large bell!?"

Xia Jin frowned. The image of the trio he had forced to retreat back in the Yuehua Dynasty suddenly surfaced in his mind, and the corners of his mouth could not help but curl upward slightly.

"Many thanks!" He nodded slightly to the Old Man in Green Shirt as a gesture of thanks.

The next moment, without any visible movement, his figure swayed slightly, and he seemed to merge into the Void Realm.

It was only after Xia Jin's figure completely vanished that the suffocating pressure slowly dissipated.

The Old Man in Green Shirt and the Person in a Bamboo Hat exchanged a glance, and both fell silent. By now, cold sweat had unknowingly seeped from their foreheads.

"Just now... who was that person who appeared? Why does it seem like I've never seen him on the Dongxuan Continent before?" The Person in a Bamboo Hat wiped the cold sweat from its forehead, looking at its friend with a face full of confusion.

"You're asking me, but who am I supposed to ask?" The Old Man in Green Shirt shook his head with a bitter smile. "Never mind the person who just appeared; even the three who snatched the treasure—have you or I ever seen them before?"

"Let's go! We cannot continue to get involved in this. Otherwise, we won't even know when we die." The Person in a Bamboo Hat glanced toward the north, then turned and flew toward the south.

"Mn, let's go back! During this period, do not easily interfere with the affairs of the Dongxuan Continent." The Old Man in Green Shirt nodded and followed immediately.

Meanwhile, the chase continued on the other side.

"How is this Fire Phoenix so fast!"

White Luan, who was controlling the large bell as it fled rapidly toward the north, wore an expression filled with anxiety.

Whenever she snatched a moment to look back, she would find that the blazing firelight behind her was getting closer and closer. The scorching heat felt as if it were about to penetrate through the walls of the bell.

"If we are caught and entangled by that Fire Phoenix, the Black Flood Dragon behind it will definitely seize the opportunity to bite us." White Luan's forehead beaded with sweat as she said anxiously, "By then, we really won't be able to keep this item. You two, hurry and think of a way to shake off the Fire Phoenix behind us!"

"Big Sister, don't worry! I actually have a good idea!" Hei Tu, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up, a flash of ruthlessness in his eyes. "Watch me in a moment, but you must cooperate with me then."

As soon as he finished speaking, Hei Tu's originally fat body began to writhe violently. In the blink of an eye, a burly man with knotted muscles and skin shimmering with a dark, metallic luster appeared.

He slowly pulled his right fist back, and all his power surged and gathered crazily toward that clenched fist.

Before this punch was even thrown, the Void Realm around the large bell could no longer withstand this power, which had been compressed to the extreme, and began to collapse and shatter continuously.

Hei Tu's face also began to contort from bearing such a massive load of power; his veins bulged, and he looked entirely in agony.

One breath! Ten breaths! Thirty breaths!

"Now! Big Sister, open a gap!" Hei Tu said, forcing the words through his teeth while enduring the intense pain.

"Alright!!" White Luan did not hesitate. Under her control, the large bell instantly turned sideways, and the open bell mouth aimed directly at the firelight chasing from behind.

"Roar! Die, you bastard!"

Hei Tu's punch was slow, at least in the eyes of Elder Mo Ya! But this fist force made his legs begin to tremble uncontrollably.

A streak of black fist force flew past Elder Mo Ya's face.

Wherever the fist force that shot out of the large bell passed, space seemed to be smoothed over by an invisible giant hand, and the peaks of all the towering mountains within a radius of ten miles were silently turned into powder filling the sky!

The Fire Phoenix behind them clearly did not expect that the people it had been chasing so miserably would actually dare to fight back.

Moreover, a strong sense of crisis caused it to let out a sharp, ear-piercing cry of alarm.

Unfortunately, no matter how fast its reaction was, Hei Tu's long-prepared strike was too sudden and too swift.

By the time it reacted, the force of the punch had already slammed solidly into its massive body, and it even pierced directly through its right wing!

"You bastard, how dare you hurt this seat!!" The Fire Phoenix's figure was forced to stop in mid-air.

Its golden eyes were filled with killing intent.

An angry phoenix cry resounded through the sky, and searing white flames suddenly ignited on its body, surging crazily into its damaged right wing.

After a few breaths, the white flames on its body slowly disappeared, and its pierced wing had actually recovered as if nothing had happened.

But, those few breaths were the precious time Hei Tu had won!

White Luan, utilizing the massive recoil force from Hei Tu's punch, pushed the large bell to its full speed.

Their figures vanished into the distant horizon in an instant, completely escaping the Fire Phoenix's field of vision.

After fleeing frantically for a full quarter of an hour and confirming that there was no longer any aura of pursuers behind them, the three slowly descended from the Void Realm into a valley.

"It's done! Big Sister, we succeeded!"

Hei Tu, who had returned to his fat, burly appearance, although physically exhausted, could not hide his excitement and laughed loudly.

"Hahahaha, I didn't expect that the three of us would actually succeed!" Beside him, Elder Mo Ya also laughed somewhat maniacally.

In his joy, he even grabbed a black python coiled on a nearby rock, kissed it fiercely, and then stuffed it into his mouth, swallowing it in a bizarre manner.

White Luan also let out a long sigh of relief, and a hint of a smile appeared on her previously tense, small face.

"Big Sister! Hurry and take that item out for everyone to see!! We haven't seen it yet." Hei Tu walked over to White Luan and looked at her somewhat obsequiously.

Elder Mo Ya, who had just swallowed a black python, also hurriedly wiped the corners of his mouth and looked at White Luan with a smile.

"What's the rush! Come, I'll let you see!" White Luan shot them an annoyed glance, then carefully took out the item that had incited the competition from all sides from her bosom.

She saw a jade pendant lying in her palm; it was not large, only the size of half of White Luan's palm.

On it were engraved a few crooked characters. At first glance, they looked somewhat like Buddhist Sanskrit, but upon closer inspection, they were completely different.

"Big Sister, do you recognize the characters on it?" Hei Tu leaned over, his eyes wide with curiosity.

White Luan carefully examined it for a moment, then slowly shook her head.

Elder Mo Ya scoffed, "Who cares what characters are engraved on it! According to the rumor, as long as we wait for the 'Purple Moon' to appear, the holder of this jade pendant will naturally have an 'envoy' come to guide them."

"Based on the past patterns of the 'Purple Moon' appearing, there are about three more months until a new cycle of the Purple Moon appears again. We just need to wait quietly."

"Elder Mo Ya is right. We should try not to show ourselves during this period. The commotion of this competition was not small, and I fear that countless eyes are already searching for our tracks at this moment." White Luan put away the jade pendant and looked at Hei Tu with a warning gaze.

"Rest assured, Big Sister, I guarantee that during this time, I will not leave this valley even for one step!" Hei Tu said with a serious face.

"That would be best! Among the three of us, you are the one who has never been able to hold your temper!"

However, just as they had taken a step, preparing to enter a cave nearby.

A somewhat familiar voice suddenly rang in the ears of the three: "Three of you, we meet again."
