121: Chapter 121 Interrogation: The Wolf Lord Who Survived a Great Calamity

As soon as the Wolf Lord finished speaking, he suddenly pushed the young Disciple who was still in a daze beside him and hissed urgently, "Xiaoer! Stop daydreaming! Quick, leave now! Head south, and don't look back!"

The young man beside him was terrified by his Revered Master's unprecedented panic, and the kitchen knife in his hand suddenly fell. "Revered Master, what exactly is going on..."

"There's no time to explain! Go!" the Wolf Lord almost roared, while simultaneously retracting all his Qi, not daring to let even a shred of it leak out.

However, just as the young man was packing his bags in confusion, the Wolf Lord's hair stood on end, as if he were being stared down by an ancient Vicious Beast!

"It's over, I've been discovered!" the Wolf Lord thought in horror.

He didn't even have time to look up and confirm; his muscular arm grabbed the young man's back belt and, amidst a cry of surprise, threw him away with all his might!

"Xiaoer, go! The further the better! Don't look back!!!"

While still in a daze, the young man was thrown several miles away.

Just as he fell into the cold stream and was about to be swept away by the surging current, he saw it with his own eyes.

A sharp, silver sword light streaked down from the horizon!

The sword light pierced through the Wolf Lord's right leg, pinning him firmly to the bluestone beside him!

Blood splattered instantly, staining the riverbank red.

"Revered Master!!!" The young man's eyes nearly burst with rage as he roared, but his voice was instantly swallowed by the rushing waves, and his figure disappeared.

...

Beside the bluestone.

"Ugh!" The Wolf Lord groaned, the intense pain causing the veins on his forehead to bulge.

He looked down at his injured right leg and suddenly felt a chill down his spine.

Gritting his teeth, he leaned against the bluestone and stood up.

At that moment, four auras descended like four massive mountains!

He struggled to lift his head.

Above him, four figures floated quietly, looking down at him as if he were an ant.

The Wolf Lord took a deep breath, forcing down the fear in his heart, and asked in a heavy voice, "Who... who exactly are you?"

Among the four figures, the Third Elder, whose eyes were somewhat sinister, stepped directly out of the Void Realm and stopped in front of the Wolf Lord.

He sized up the Wolf Lord with interest, a chilling smile appearing on his face.

"Tsk, your reaction wasn't slow, you even knew to throw the little brat away," the Third Elder said casually. "My Divine Sense swept through just now, and within a radius of hundreds of miles, your aura was the strongest. I take it you are... the strongest one around here?"

The Wolf Lord's heart turned cold, knowing the visitors meant no good. "What do you want, Your Excellency? If it's revenge, I don't recall ever meeting you; we shouldn't have any enmity!"

"Revenge?" The Third Elder shook his head with a chuckle. "Don't worry, it's simple. I'll only ask one question. Answer honestly, and I'll spare your life."

"Tell me, where exactly is that temple order?"

"What temple order?"

Upon hearing the question, the Wolf Lord was stunned, a look of bewilderment appearing on his face.

"Tem... temple order?" the Wolf Lord repeated subconsciously, his eyes filled with confusion. "Your Excellency... what is that? I've... never heard of such a thing."

The smile on the Third Elder's face vanished instantly, his gaze turning dark. "You don't know? As the strongest person in this region, you actually don't know about the 'temple order'?"

Feeling the sudden surge of killing intent, the Wolf Lord's scalp tingled, and he hurriedly said, "Wait, I truly don't know! I have absolutely no intention of deceiving you..."

"Useless!" the Third Elder interrupted impatiently, the last trace of "civility" in his eyes vanishing, replaced only by cold killing intent. "What use is keeping you if you don't even know about the temple order? You're wasting my time."

As soon as he finished speaking, he casually raised his right hand and, pointing his fingers like a sword, made a light swipe toward the Wolf Lord.

*Swish!*

A burst of Sword Qi materialized out of thin air and swept across without any resistance!

The Wolf Lord felt a chill at his waist and instinctively looked down at his abdomen.

He saw his lower half slowly drifting away, he saw blood erupting like a fountain, and he saw the Third Elder's back as he prepared to leave.

"Am I... dying just like this?" The Wolf Lord's consciousness blurred rapidly until it completely vanished.

The Third Elder sneered, not even bothering to look back at the Wolf Lord he had severed at the waist. He flew up and returned to the side of the other Elders from the Heavenly Sword Profound Sect.

"How unlucky. I thought I could get some information about the temple order from this guy. Turns out he's just an ignorant local, a waste of time," the Third Elder said somewhat irritably as he saw the questioning looks from Great Elder Ouyang Shan and the other Elders.

Grand Elder Ouyang Shan and the others couldn't help but frown, but they weren't entirely surprised by this result. After all, they hadn't expected to find the temple order so easily from the start.

"Forget it! The four of us will split up to search for the temple order's whereabouts; that way we can maximize our efficiency. If there's any news of the temple order, notify the others immediately."

"Fine!"

"As it should be!"

After a brief discussion, the four experts from the Heavenly Sword Profound Sect transformed into four streaks of sword light and instantly vanished into the horizon, heading North, South, East, and West.

...

And right after they left.

The Wolf Lord's body, severed in two, lay in a pool of blood, his life force nearly extinguished.

But his eyelid suddenly twitched. Just as his consciousness was about to fade completely, the wolf tooth pendant hanging around his neck suddenly emitted a faint glow.

A few extremely fine threads of light flew out from the wolf tooth pendant and wrapped around the Wolf Lord's severed waist.

An incredible scene unfolded.

Pulled by those threads of light, the other half of his body actually crawled slowly toward his upper half, bit by bit, until the two halves were joined together.

But with every bit of repair, the light on the wolf tooth pendant dimmed, and several new cracks were added to the ones already present.

After a long time.

Those few threads of light finally dissipated completely.

The wolf tooth pendant around the Wolf Lord's neck also dimmed entirely, its surface covered in a web of cracks, looking as though it would crumble into powder at the slightest touch.

And the Wolf Lord, who should have been dead, now slowly opened his eyes. He first looked at the sky blankly, then suddenly sat up, gasping for air.

"Hahaha..." He couldn't help but start laughing, and his laughter grew louder, though there was a hint of bitterness in his smile. "Fortunately, thanks to this holy relic... it saved me once again. I was just a hair's breadth away from being dead for good!"

After calming down for a long time, the Wolf Lord looked in the direction where those four had disappeared. Though it was long empty, his body couldn't help but tremble.

"Those four monsters... could they really be from another continent? If that's the case, doesn't it mean that Everlasting Valley, which connects the East Profound Continent and the Tianqi Continent, can now be safely traversed?" A thought suddenly flashed through the Wolf Lord's mind, and he quickly stood up, preparing to head toward Everlasting Valley.

This place was already not far from Everlasting Valley. If his guess was correct...

Then in the future, more and more people would cross Everlasting Valley to come to the East Profound Continent.
