121: Surprise

"Liars, you're all big liars! You said you'd let Mitra go!"

"Wuwuwuwuwu!"

"Mitra told the truth..."

"Poor Mitra, who will save Mitra?"

Just outside the secret chamber, Mitra's cries and curses could be heard from within.

Liu Yang shrugged, giving Shi Yufei a helpless smile.

"I've been so busy these past two days, I completely forgot, and then..."

Shi Yufei chuckled, "It's fine, leave this to me."

With that, she pushed open the door and walked in, then closed the door, leaving everyone else outside.

Everyone was curious, wanting to see how Shi Yufei would subdue a Fairy.

So they all crowded around the door and windows to look inside.

"Who are you? Why hasn't Mitra seen you before? Are you with that group of liars?"

Seeing a stranger enter, Mitra asked cautiously.

Then, her little brain whirred, as if she'd thought of something, and she said happily:

"I know! You must have heard Mitra's prayers, so you've come to save Mitra, right?"

"Yes, I'm here to save you."

Shi Yufei nodded in affirmation, then continued:

"Do you want to have endless food? Do you want to leave the Fairy Forest and see the outside world? Do you want to play all sorts of fun things?"

Mitra immediately nodded repeatedly: "Yes, Mitra wants to!"

"If that's the case, then follow me."

"Mhm!"

After speaking, Shi Yufei touched Mitra's brow with an jade-like finger, then activated her exclusive skill, "Universal Salvation."

Instantly, a blurry phantom appeared behind Shi Yufei.

The phantom's mouth opened and closed, and several strange musical notes emanated from its mouth.

At the same time, a soft, warm light glowed from Shi Yufei's fingertip.

The light was pure and peaceful, yet heartwarming. Just looking at it, it was as if all worries vanished, and one's heart was filled with tranquility.

Even Liu Yang and the others outside the door were affected, forgetting their current situation and losing all curiosity about Shi Yufei's skill.

This feeling came and went quickly, disappearing in a flash, like an illusion.

"This..."

The few of them looked at each other, all of them shocked.

If something like that happened during a fight...

At this moment, Mitra was completely enveloped by the light, and a hint of struggle seemed to flash across her face.

Looking at Shi Yufei again, her forehead was already beaded with sweat.

The entire process lasted about a minute, and then Shi Yufei lowered her finger.

At this point, looking at Mitra again, her information had changed.

{"Forest Sprite Mitra Lv35 (Affiliation: Shi Yufei)": "Young Forest Sprite, master of the power of wood element. (Overall Attributes: 820)"}

In the Fairy race's territory,

hundreds of thousands of Forest Sprites gathered around the Divine Tree.

At this moment, their expressions were excited, their eyes fervent.

Beneath the Divine Tree, the Fairy Queen, in full ceremonial dress, had a solemn expression.

She had transformed to be the same size as a human, holding the fairy world secret records, and came to the base of the Divine Tree.

A wind blade sliced across her finger, and two drops of blood floated out.

One drop of blood merged into the tree trunk, and the base of the Divine Tree opened, revealing a sudden appearance of a divine statue.

One drop of blood merged into the fairy world secret records. The secret records glowed, and the runes on its surface receded, transforming into a different appearance.

{"Fairy Goddess's Manuscript": "An item left behind by the Fairy Goddess, which can be used to communicate with the Fairy Goddess at specific times."}

At this moment, the Fairy Queen placed the secret records—no, the Fairy Goddess's Manuscript—in front of the divine statue, then knelt and prayed.

The instant the Fairy Queen knelt, all the Fairies knelt with her.

Including the newly born Fairies, who also knelt at the instruction of the adult Fairies.

Just then, the Fairy Queen's devout voice rang out.

"Most high, benevolent and loving Fairy Goddess, the wicked humans have descended once more. For world peace, to prevent the coming catastrophe, your loyal subject, the 98th Forest Sprite Fairy Queen, implores you, fully unseal the Fairy race!"

"Most high, benevolent and loving Fairy Goddess, the wicked humans have descended once more. For world peace, to prevent the coming catastrophe, your loyal subject, the 98th Forest Sprite Fairy Queen, implores you, fully unseal the Fairy race!"

Once. Twice. Thrice...

The Fairy Queen kept repeating the same words.

After an unknown number of prayers, suddenly, the Fairy Goddess statue opened its eyes.

In an instant, the entire space experienced a brief pause.

Then the Divine Tree emitted endless light, shooting straight into the sky.

Crack!

Bang!

A sound like shattering glass echoed, and the sky of the Fairy Forest fragmented.

Immediately, winds surged, clouds rolled, lightning flashed, and thunder roared. A monstrous wave of energy swept across the entire world, causing countless people to be terrified.

"What's happening? What's happening? Is it the end of the world?"

"End of the world, my foot! Is there any difference between being pulled into this game and the end of the world?"

"Do you think this game world is about to collapse? If so, will we be able to go back?"

"I don't know, such a huge commotion always brings a bad feeling."

"Sigh, it's come to this, I've accepted my fate. If it's a blessing, it's not a disaster; if it's a disaster, it can't be avoided."

At the same time, countless leaves from the Divine Tree drifted down.

The Divine Tree's leaves left the tree, transforming into specks of blood-colored light, one by one, merging into the body of every Fairy.

Suddenly, the peaceful Forest Sprites' expressions changed, each of them becoming ferocious, with bloodthirsty killing intent in their eyes.

Just then, a world announcement sounded.

{"World Announcement": "The isolated Forest Sprite race, sealed for a thousand years, has broken free. The War between Humans and Fairies is about to begin."}

{"World Announcement": "Event 'War between Humans and Fairies' has officially begun."}

{"War between Humans and Fairies": "The war between humans and the Fairy race. Slaying enemies will grant War Points, which can be used to exchange for various items and tools from the War Points Shop."}

The Fairy race went mad!

Humans were stunned!

Liu Yang and the others were dumbfounded!

"Holy cow, what's going on? It's only been two or three days, how could something like this happen?"

"You guys, do you think it might be related to that fairy world secret records?"

"No way? According to the Fairies, that fairy world secret records was originally theirs. If that's the case, the seal should have been broken long ago!"

"You can't be sure, maybe it needed to wait for some opportune moment!"

Liu Yang and the others were merely puzzled.

But for other humans, it was a different kind of suffering.

"Damn it, I originally thought that after the 'Lucky Goddess's Mercy' event, the game would be more merciful, but I didn't expect the big move to be here."

"Fairy race? Fairy World? Just by hearing it, you know it's an extraordinary race!"

"I knew it, I just knew I had a bad feeling, but I didn't expect it to be this serious."

"War... when war breaks out, who knows how many people will die!"

"It's over, it's over, I'm doomed. With my level, I'm just cannon fodder!"

"War is coming, anyone want to huddle together for warmth? If so, please contact..."

The moment the system prompt sounded.

In an unknown place.

A murmur sounded.

"In the end... it still couldn't be changed."
