143: Challenge an elder

As the saying goes, too many ants can kill an elephant.

But this saying doesn't hold true for Liu Yang.

With every Flame Arrow shot, more than a dozen Forest Sprites would inevitably die under his Second Kill skill.

God's Instant Kill Mode 2, in a group battle, was like a meat grinder.

Of course, this group of Forest Sprites wasn't made of mud.

As the elite troops of the Forest Sprites, it only took a short while for them to quickly locate Liu Yang's position.

The Fairy Elder's eyes widened, and her whole body trembled slightly.

She was Elder Matilan, leading this team, from the Flame Elf tribe, assigned by the Fairy Queen to lead this group of Forest Sprites to guard this place.

She looked a bit aged, holding a fiery red staff in her hand.

At this moment, seeing her subordinates die before her, she was furious.

"Damn human, you are courting death!"

Elder Matilan waved the staff in her hand.

In an instant, countless fireballs condensed in the sky, their scorching aura burning the skin, even causing the hair of the nearby Forest Sprites to curl.

"Fire Rain Meteor!"

With her loud shout, countless fireballs streaked through space, falling overwhelmingly towards Liu Yang's position.

The scene was as if the end of the world had arrived.

Matilan was very clever.

She knew that this skill of hers might not do much to the opponent; after all, anyone who could penetrate this deep was certainly not weak.

There were two reasons for using this skill.

First, to test Liu Yang's strength.

Second, to clear an open space so that Liu Yang would have nowhere to hide.

At the same time, if the opponent had any accomplices nearby, it could force them out as well.

More importantly, without the cover and concealment of the dense forest, it would be more effective in preventing the opponent from escaping.

Unfortunately, she didn't know Liu Yang's background.

If it were anyone else, this plan might have worked, but for him, it was completely useless.

Even the previous Elders couldn't do anything to him, and now that his strength had increased significantly, he was even more fearless.

Liu Yang put away the Flame Bow in his hand, calmly straightened his back, and faced the fire rain descending from the sky.

The fire rain descended, covering Liu Yang.

Rumbling sounds echoed, stirring up smoke and fire that enveloped Liu Yang.

"Long live Elder Matilan! Under such a fierce skill, the opponent must have been burned to ashes, right?"

"Exactly, exactly! Under such powerful fire rain, even Elders of the same rank would be in mortal danger. He, a mere human, will surely not escape."

The nearby Forest Sprites clamored, even beginning to cheer.

But Elder Matilan's expression became solemn.

She could clearly feel that the person in the smoke and dust was still standing, and crucially, there was only one figure.

This greatly shocked her; the enemy dared to break in alone. Was it arrogance or did he possess extraordinary strength?

"Shut up! All defend."

Elder Matilan's expression changed, and she shouted a warning.

But no sooner had her voice fallen than a Flame Arrow exploded in the midst of the Forest Sprites.

With that one strike, it instantly took the lives of over a dozen Forest Sprites.

[Your Flame Arrow shot and killed a Forest Fairy (Evil), God's Instant Kill triggered, Forest Fairy (Evil) died.]

[Forest Fairy (Evil) Lv45 died, God's Instant Kill skill mode 2 triggered, Forest Fairy (Evil) Lv45 died, Forest Fairy (Evil) Lv45 died, Forest Guardian (Slave) Lv33 died]

"What? How is this possible? Why is this human completely unharmed?"

"Impossible! Elder's skill was so powerful, yet it only burned his clothes. What kind of monster is he?"

"Oh my god! He actually dares to challenge our thousands of Forest Sprite troops alone?"

Ignoring the Forest Sprites' surprise, Liu Yang slowly took out his wind-thunder spiritual sword.

Then, a dark-golden stream of light flashed, and a tight-fitting armor suddenly appeared, then merged into his skin and disappeared.

This was the Shadow Dragon Pattern Secret Armor Liu Yang had crafted earlier. He hadn't used it before because he just wanted to test his physical defense.

"Is this all the attack you have? It's barely enough to tickle me. If you only have this much, I'm afraid you and your subordinates will have to stay here this time."

Liu Yang spoke, slowly walking forward. Although the opponent had many people, in his eyes, they were just lambs waiting to be slaughtered.

"Human boy, don't you think your tone is a bit too arrogant? You, by yourself? You think you can deal with all of us Forest Sprites?"

Elder Matilan puffed out her chest, looking directly at Liu Yang.

Unfortunately, she didn't know Liu Yang's battle record.

If she had, she might have run away long ago.

Liu Yang was very puzzled by this.

Logically, after those Forest Sprites fled in defeat last time, they should have reported his existence to the Fairy Queen or other troops.

Did they fear punishment or was there some other reason that prevented them from reporting?

Liu Yang was merely puzzled and did not delve deeper.

"Since that's the case, let's give it a try."

Saying that, Liu Yang charged at Elder Matilan with his sword.

He wanted to truly test whether, with his current strength and without using Second Kill skills, he could kill a Fairy Elder.

Seeing Liu Yang's dismissive attitude, Elder Matilan was furious.

"You brat who doesn't know death!"

"Magma Skin."

Elder Matilan instantly used a defensive skill.

Her skin began to turn to stone inch by inch, as if she were wearing a stone armor.

Facing Elder Matilan's stubborn resistance, Liu Yang slashed with his sword.

However, Liu Yang underestimated the opponent's defense; he didn't injure her in the slightest.

"Such hard skin."

Just then.

Elder Matilan's hand glowed red, and a flame spear rapidly condensed, thrusting directly at Liu Yang.

Seeing this, Liu Yang instantly changed his move from a thrust to a diagonal slash, aiming at Elder Matilan's neck.

At the same time, an Ice Arrow condensed in his left hand, targeting Elder Matilan's eyes.

As for Elder Matilan's flame spear, Liu Yang didn't pay it any mind.

The flame spear struck Liu Yang first.

Instantly, a small wound appeared on Liu Yang's abdomen.

It was as he expected.

The opponent's attack could at most break through his defense.

However, this greatly surprised Liu Yang.

One must know that even so many Fairy Elders yesterday couldn't harm him in the slightest.

Just then.

Facing Liu Yang's sudden Ice Arrow, Elder Matilan panicked a little.

She retreated slightly, dodging the diagonal slash, but the two Ice Arrows pierced her eyes.

"Ah!!!"

A shrill scream erupted from Elder Matilan's mouth.

Seeing this, Liu Yang smiled triumphantly.

"How's that? Do you know how powerful I am now?"

"Too bad I've had enough fun, so, go die!"

Saying that, Liu Yang used Ten Steps One Kill, and with his attack power multiplied by an unknown factor, he cut off the opponent's head with a single sword.
