112: Chapter 112 Destroy this damned world!

The rain here is black.

Bone-chilling raindrops smashed against my face, carrying a nauseating, acidic stench, much like the pus and blood flowing from this broken world.

My name is Li Ming, an ordinary player in Super C3 District.

Right now, my right kneecap is completely shattered, and I don't know how many ribs in my chest are broken.

With every breath, my lungs are accompanied by a tearing, sharp pain.

Less than ten meters away from me, the small car that accompanied me all the way and that I treated as a treasure now consists only of a bare, rusted chassis frame.

The engine was dug out, the tires were removed, and even the seats were stripped clean by them.

"Bah! What kind of dog shit is this, daring to badmouth District Mayor Wang!"

In my mind echoed the mockery and insults left by those Law Enforcement Officers in black uniforms before they left half an hour ago.

I struggled to open my swollen eyes, looking at the rolling dark clouds in the sky, my mouth pulling into a tragic smile that looked worse than crying.

How ironic.

Once upon a time, I naively thought that Super C3 District was the last pure land in this Endless Bloody Wilderness.

When that organization called the "New Boundary Management Committee" appeared.

When they drove black armored vehicles with uniform paint, flashing red and blue police lights representing order, and used megaphones to preach to us about "rebuilding civilization," "protecting the weak," and "the greater good."

I and countless players like me were so excited that our eyes filled with tears.

In this post-apocalyptic world where people eat people and monsters run rampant, this familiar set of operations gave us a brief sense of security.

It was as if we had returned to the orderly, civilized society before we crossed over.

We willingly handed over the weapon blueprints we had worked so hard to obtain and turned over the vast majority of our survival supplies, all to exchange for that insignificant "protection" they spoke of.

But what was the result?

The result was a never-ending nightmare!

Their so-called protection was treating us as the cheapest consumables and coolies!

Every time we passed a mine refreshed by the system, we civilians would be pointed at by the gun barrels of the Law Enforcement Officers and driven like slaves into the sunless underground.

Mining metal blocks for them day and night.

Every time we encountered a monster stronghold, the main forces of the Management Committee would always hide in the back.

And we were used as cannon fodder and meat shields, forced to charge at the very front to exhaust the monsters' stamina!

If it were just forced labor and being cannon fodder, for the sake of staying alive, perhaps I could have gritted my teeth and endured it.

But what made me feel the most despair was the "blood drawing."

Every three days.

The Management Committee's medical van would drive into the civilian camp on time.

Those so-called "doctors" wearing white masks would forcibly draw a full 100cc of blood from every one of our bodies!

"Do not have grievances! Every drop of blood you donate is saving the soldiers fighting bloody battles on the front lines!"

"Although you have no combat power, you are making the greatest contribution to the continuation of the order of human civilization!"

Every time blood was drawn, the high-pitched, grandiloquent speeches of the Management Committee's top brass would play on a loop through the loudspeakers.

We were brainwashed by this set of seemingly righteous rhetoric.

Despite the fact that due to frequent blood drawing, a large number of civilians were sallow and thin, and some even fainted and died suddenly from severe anemia while mining, everyone still felt that their sacrifice was valuable.

Everything for the reconstruction of human civilization!

Until a few days ago.

I was sent to the center of the stronghold to repair the chassis of District Mayor Wang's ultra-luxurious armored RV.

Hiding under the car, I inadvertently overheard the conversation between District Mayor Wang and his confidant outside the car door.

"Mayor, the activity of this new batch of blood drawn is getting worse and worse." The confidant's voice was tinged with worry.

"Hmph, these pariahs don't have enough to eat every day and still have to go down the mines; of course their blood energy is insufficient."

This was District Mayor Wang's high-and-mighty, cold, and ruthless voice.

"Go notify the people below to increase the blood drawing frequency! It doesn't matter even if several thousand people are bled to death!"

"The [Advanced Health Potion] refined must guarantee my daughter's daily dosage!"

"We absolutely cannot let her blood disease worsen!"

"My daughter is of noble birth; using the lives of these low-lifes to extend her life is a blessing they've earned over several lifetimes!"

Hiding under the car, I felt as if I had been struck by lightning.

Every drop of blood in my body completely froze at that moment.

Soldiers fighting bloody battles on the front lines?

The continuation of the order of human civilization?

All dog shit!

All lies!!!

We, these hundreds of thousands of struggling civilians, are not protected survivors at all.

We are merely human blood bags raised by that high-and-mighty District Mayor Wang to extend the life of his daughter who suffers from a severe blood disease!!!

After learning the truth, I only felt my skin crawl.

I quietly told this cruel secret to my best brother, Zhang Qiang.

In the most difficult times, we had split a piece of moldy bread in half; I thought we could live and die together.

But I was wrong.

On this wasteland without a bottom line, human nature cannot withstand even a sliver of testing.

Zhang Qiang turned around and sold me out.

Just to exchange with the Management Committee for a can of clean pure water and a slot to no longer have to go down the mines.

And then.

I was labeled with the hat of "spreading malicious rumors and attempting to destroy the unity of the alliance."

The Law Enforcement Officers broke my legs and dismantled my car into scrap metal right in front of me.

Then, like throwing away trash, they threw me into the mud on the outskirts of the Management Committee's main stronghold to fend for myself.

The rain is getting heavier.

The blood from my wounds mixed with the black rain, gathering into a small puddle beneath me.

In the distant mist, the roars of Abyss Monsters could be heard indistinctly.

I struggled to lift my head, looking at this desperate and gray world, looking at the giant stronghold behind me that radiated a hypocritical light.

What District Mayor Wang, what Management Committee.

This is a man-eating hell.

I closed my eyes, and a line of warm tears slid from the corner of my eye.

"This damned world... along with that disgusting fortress, let it all be destroyed together..."

I no longer had the strength to struggle; I quietly waited for the moment I would be torn apart by monsters.

However.

Just at the instant my consciousness was about to sink completely into darkness.

"Rumble—!!!"

A roar of an engine that seemed capable of tearing one's soul apart suddenly came at high speed from the road directly ahead!

That sound was too massive!

So massive that even the black stagnant water on the ground was jumping frantically!

I subconsciously opened my swollen eyes and turned my head with difficulty, looking in the direction the roar was coming from.

Through the heavy curtains of black rain.

A giant silhouette like a death god was tearing through the rainy night at an incredible speed!

It was a Blood-colored heavy tank as massive as a mountain!

Its entire body was draped in crimson heavy armor, like an ancient ferocious beast charging out from the depths of hell!

It had no intention of slowing down at all, carrying a terrifying, crushing pressure as it crossed the mud where I lay paralyzed and crashed straight toward the high-and-mighty Management Committee main stronghold behind me!

The pitch-black barrel of the death god's cannon radiated a suffocating baleful aura.

And behind that tank.

The wild wind rolled up spray that filled the sky.

An endless, dense line of armed combat vehicles followed nose to tail.

All were painted in a glaring, bright red color!

Like a surge of scalding red lava, they were unstoppable in their intent to completely swallow this sin-filled stronghold!

I stared blankly at that Blood-colored heavy tank racing past, smashing through the seemingly impregnable defensive line on the outskirts of the stronghold with an unreasonable posture.

Watching the army behind the heavy tank, like a swarm of red locusts, charge in with grand momentum!

As if heavenly soldiers had descended, divine punishment manifesting in the world!

At this moment, I forgot the sharp pain in my body and the fear of death.

My mouth hung wide open, and in my dull pupils, only that reflection of violent red remained—enough to burn away all the sins in the world.
