126: Fighting side by side (Part 1)

At an altitude of ten thousand meters, sonic booms exploded in quick succession.

A blue stream of light streaked across the sky, leaving a long trail of cloud that lingered for a long time.

"We will arrive at the Huangpu River Base in sixty seconds, Chief Chen, please prepare yourself."

Inside the fighter jet, Fu Fengxue's voice rang out.

"Always ready."

Chen Fan looked at Fu Fengxue, nodded, and indicated that he had received the message.

At the same time, two fighter jets rapidly broke through the sky from the east and west, converging with Fu Fengxue's fighter jet at high altitude.

"It seems Jia Yi, Lin Xinghe, and Ye Qiu have also arrived."

Fu Fengxue looked at the two Jingji Garrison fighter jets getting closer and closer, a smile involuntarily appearing on his face.

They had already made contact before rushing to support Modu Base City.

In the current era of constant large-scale battles with monsters, each of these God of War martial artists serves as a fire chief, fighting north and south to support bases in all directions.

The reason was simple:

Daxia's top-tier combat power was too scarce to cover such a vast territory, and the number of monsters was extremely large.

This is why God of War martial artists were seen supporting all corners of the land.

At an altitude of ten thousand meters, rumbling sounds echoed.

The three fighter jets gathered hundreds of meters apart, forming a triangular shape, rapidly approaching Modu Base City.

Chen Fan looked out the window, between the two.

Under Fu Fengxue's introduction, he learned that these two fighter jets were carrying Jia Yi and Lin Xinghe, respectively, and that Ye Qiu was flying alone.

"Everyone, begin descending, target: Huangpu River Base!"

In the dedicated channel, with Fu Fengxue's command, the three fighter jets plunged straight down.

Like eagles swooping down on rabbits, the three sky-blue fighter jets directly charged towards the Huangpu River Base.

Buzz!

Inside the cabin, a trembling sound rang out.

Immediately after, a huge sensation of weightlessness instantly struck.

Chen Fan gently held the handrail, without the slightest discomfort on his face.

This slight weightlessness had minimal impact on him.

One must know that the physique of martial artists already surpasses that of ordinary people; their flesh, bones, sinews, and spirit are all extremely powerful.

Moreover, Chen Fan was a God of War powerhouse, one in a million, possessing extraordinary physical strength.

Mere weightlessness was nothing.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Air currents surged past, and the fighter jet descended at a very fast speed every second.

Chen Fan took a moment to look out the window.

A dense mass of monsters surged forth from the river, one after another, charging towards the formidable fortress, built with massive amounts of reinforced concrete, that spanned the Huangpu River.

The existence of this colossal fortress directly cut the entire Huangpu River in half, literally stopping the advance of sea monsters into the inland at this very spot.

Around this steel fortress, dozens of smaller fortresses, each the size of a football field, were scattered.

The defensive positions of these fortresses appeared chaotic and unpredictable, but when combined, they possessed infinite power, capable of greatly impeding the charge and offensive of these sea monsters.

This allowed them to lose momentum after their initial surge, becoming weaker and eventually exhausted.

Thus, they could wait at ease, surrounding and annihilating the invading enemy in one fell swoop.

However, today, a continuous stream of sea monsters swarmed in from the estuary, bringing unprecedented and terrifying pressure upon these smaller fortresses.

But despite this, they continued to grit their teeth and hold on, using their weapons to prevent the sea monsters from advancing.

At this moment, earth-shattering artillery fire erupted everywhere, and tons upon tons of ammunition were expended on these monsters.

Accompanied by one dazzling explosion after another within the monster tide, swaths of sea monsters turned into charred remains and ashes amidst wails and screams.

But even more numerous were the sea monsters that were overturned and crippled by the shockwaves of the explosions.

Gradually, the bloody smell carried by the waters of the Huangpu River grew increasingly Rich.

At the same time, groups of sea monsters flew out, crawled out, and shot out from the river, covering the sky and earth, all charging forward recklessly.

Most of them were fish, arthropods, and coelenterate monsters, as well as a considerable number of reptilian monsters... King crabs, manta rays, sea stars, sea cucumbers, Australian lobsters, and mantis shrimp the size of buses... They clustered together, charging forward in an overwhelming tide.

In terms of terror, sea monsters were several times more formidable than land monsters.

Firstly, sea monsters were numerous and their species far exceeded those of land monsters.

Secondly, the abilities of sea monsters were strange and complex, including sound waves, poisonous mist, and electric discharge... Their methods were endless and impossible to guard against.

Da da da!!!

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Thick beams of light shot out from the cold muzzles of these fortresses, pouring like mercury onto these reckless sea monsters.

The density of the sea monsters was such that almost every bullet could penetrate several monsters.

Under the artillery barrage, swathes of monsters died in explosions, and the shockwaves also tore apart numerous monsters.

Every moment, a massive number of monsters perished here.

Unfortunately, these numbers were merely a drop in the ocean for the immeasurable quantity of sea monsters.

At the estuary, sea monsters surged in like a tide, making Chen Fan's scalp tingle.

"Is this a disaster-level beast tide?"

"This scale is almost comparable to the No. 9 Relic Battlefield."

Chen Fan looked down from a thousand meters in the sky, muttering to himself.

"I heard that this beast tide is led by several King-level Monsters, and Modu's top martial artist Ma Liang and Northwest's top martial artist Ye Daoxuan happen to be here."

"It's bound to be another big battle."

Fu Fengxue looked at the dense mass of sea monsters, without a hint of fear in his eyes.

Instead, a terrifying fighting spirit burned fiercely within him.

Boom, boom, boom!

Even from a distance of several kilometers, the deafening sound of artillery fire still pierced Chen Fan's ears.

"King-level Monsters, huh? I want to try too!"

Chen Fan murmured to himself, the hot blood in his chest surging faster.

Although King-level Monsters possessed terrifying strength, far beyond what a High-level Lord could match.

But he, Chen Fan, yearned for a battle!

After all, this was his first battle after being promoted to an Advanced God of War.

A man should have lofty aspirations and a passionate fighting spirit, fearless and dauntless!

Where the blade points, the enemy flees in terror!

Immediately after, his gaze quickly moved downwards, searching for those massive, high-level monsters.

This behavior had become his habit.

Whenever there was a great monster tide battle, he would always capture the leader first, slaying the monster chief.

Whoosh!

The fighter jet's altitude was rapidly decreasing.

At this moment, the fighter jet was also slowly adjusting its angle, descending towards the interior of the Huangpu River Base.

One minute later, Chen Fan and Fu Fengxue stood on the base's concrete city wall, which was dozens of meters thick.

Just a hundred meters ahead, a different scene unfolded.

Soon, several figures broke through the air and arrived beside Chen Fan and Fu Fengxue.

Each of them exuded a chilling killing intent, and the terrifying fighting spirit, powerful to this extent, appeared in Chen Fan's eyes like a blazing inferno... PS: Three updates, asking for monthly and recommendation tickets.
