130: Bloody War (Part 1)!

Along the banks of the Huangpu River, cannons boomed.

The rising smoke of gunpowder lingered endlessly.

In the brilliant firelight, countless monsters were instantly engulfed and turned to ash.

The aftershocks of the explosions created towering waves, churning the muddy waters.

On the river, surging tides of monsters charged fearlessly, their grotesque and terrifying faces inspiring dread.

Relying on their almost infinite numerical advantage, they continuously charged, attempting to wear down the defenses of the steel base.

Then, they aimed to breach the base's walls, enter, hunt humans, and feast.

Unfortunately, not a single monster succeeded.

Corpses appeared in the cannon fire, then were swallowed by the surging waves, leaving no trace.

But there were always some powerful stragglers who managed to sneak into human bases, leading to fierce battles.

This large-scale battle between humans and sea monsters was as brutal and bloody as previous ones.

One side charged desperately, while the other defended with all its might.

It was infinitely more ferocious than a game of chess.

Almost every second, a huge number of monsters from the beast horde died on the river and its banks, their bodies strewn everywhere.

The river wind blew, but the thick scent of blood lingered for a long time.

Amidst the scattered smoke, the monsters grew even more ferocious and frenzied.

At this point in the battle, they had been severely provoked by the corpses and blood of their own kind, igniting the savagery in their genes.

Similarly, the human martial artists and soldiers suffered heavy casualties.

Several times, the defenses of the Huangpu River Base were breached, and a small number of Lords stealthily infiltrated, causing heavy casualties among the defending soldiers.

For these Lord-level Monsters, armor-piercing shells and high-explosive bombs were all ineffective.

The only ones capable of resisting them were God of War martial artists of the same level.

Only God of War martial artists could kill Lords!

And looking across the entire Great Xia, there were only about thirty God of War martial artists.

Without exaggeration, every single one of these God of War martial artists was a pillar of their respective Base City.

Fortunately, the Huangpu River Base's beast horde defense this time received strong support from the Kyoto Base City, preventing the situation from becoming overly perilous.

With the return of Chen Fan and several Advanced God of War martial artists and Invincible God of War martial artists, the rampaging Lord-level Monsters were cut down on the spot, and the breaches in the defense were held.

At this moment, Chen Fan, Jia Yi, Ye Qiu, Lin Xinghe, and Dong Nanbiao stood guard in front of the shattered breach in the steel fortress.

Like five ancient demonic mountains, unmoving, they quietly suppressed the area.

The five God of War martial artists of Great Xia, with tacit understanding, formed an arc-shaped defensive line, seven to eight hundred meters long, in front of the base's breach.

With a breach in the war base, they no longer sought to kill a large number of monsters.

Instead, they chose to guard here, ensuring the absolute safety of the Huangpu River Base.

Otherwise, once the base fell, the entire battlefield would lose the initiative, and the human side would immediately be at a disadvantage.

Thus, the five God of War powerhouses each guarded a section of the arc, layer by layer resisting the monster attacks.

Not far behind them, engineers were busy and orderly repairing the massive breach caused by the monsters.

Occasionally, soldiers would look up at the five steady figures in front, and their hearts would involuntarily feel at ease.

Even though not far from them was a terrifying beast horde surging forward.

Even though they could clearly see those hideous sea monsters with bloody fangs.

They could even smell the intense scent of blood and savagery emanating from them.

But no one was afraid or panicked; their expressions were calm.

Inside the steel fortress, everyone was carrying out their work in an orderly manner.

At this moment, the presence of Chen Fan and the other four was the stabilizing force in their hearts.

With several Invincible God of War martial artists here, what did they have to fear?

And the apex of this arc was Chen Fan, who possessed vast Spiritual power.

He wielded two sharp straight swords, with twenty blood-dripping flying daggers rotating beside him.

With twenty-two blades, he cut down the monsters attempting to directly charge the breach, one by one.

On the river, hordes of monsters surged out, attacking Chen Fan, trying to pounce on and kill this irritating human.

Unfortunately, every attack from the beast horde was easily resolved by Chen Fan.

Occasional sneak attacks were also flexibly dodged by the highly vigilant Chen Fan.

The more he fought, the more Chen Fan could feel the strangeness and methods of these sea monsters.

Whether it was hundreds of venom-spitting squid monsters or shockwave-emitting, electric eel monsters, all were mercilessly cut down by Chen Fan's blades.

As monsters were killed and physique points acquired, his Spiritual power also continuously grew stronger.

Compared to the beginning of the battle, Chen Fan estimated that his current Spiritual power had increased by one-tenth.

The power of his manipulated flying daggers also grew stronger and stronger.

Monsters fearlessly charged forward, one after another, and these monsters attacking Chen Fan were also cut down by the blades, becoming Chen Fan's physique points.

While providing Chen Fan with physical strength, it also propelled him one step closer to becoming a Planetary-level martial artist.

In two hours of intense battle, Chen Fan had already gained over ten thousand physique points, a rich harvest.

The majority of these physique points came from the flying daggers controlled by his Spiritual power.

Above the Huangpu River, Chen Fan stood alone, like an unbreachable chasm, blocking the monsters' frenzied charge.

Under his terrifying, almost Planetary Level Spiritual power control, flying daggers swept through the air, mercilessly harvesting the lives of numerous monsters.

Including some High-level Lords, all were instantly killed by Chen Fan, then transformed into physique points, strengthening Chen Fan's flesh, bones, and muscles, making him increasingly powerful.

Fighting to sustain oneself was precisely this.

The other four Invincible God of War martial artists each guarded a section.

They killed some monsters that branched off to Chen Fan's flanks, attempting to find gaps and secretly infiltrate the Huangpu River Base.

In the end, not a single monster successfully broke through the five God of War martial artists' defense line.

Their cooperation was remarkably tacit, virtually seamless.

Facing the beast horde, Chen Fan cut down wave after wave of monsters, methodically.

Roar!!!

A deep roar attracted Chen Fan's attention.

Then, Chen Fan looked to his right rear.

Not far away, several behemoths leaped from the riverbank, charging directly at one of the Invincible God of War martial artists.

At this moment, facing five aggressive Lord-Level Monsters.

Lin Xinghe, clad in black battle armor, stood unmoving, holding a crimson long spear. His expression was as calm as ever.

As Chen Fan's gaze swept, the shortest of these five Lord-Level Monsters was over fifty meters long.

The longest Lord-Level Monster, massive like a small mountain, already exceeded one hundred meters.

They stood upright like towering skyscrapers rising from the ground.

The most astonishing thing was that these monsters all possessed a pair of sharp giant claws.

Two terrifying giant claws, glinting with cold light and razor-sharp, were formidable siege weapons, unstoppable... PS: Three chapters are updated simultaneously, please give your recommendation votes and monthly passes, thank you very much!
