153: Stay away from me from now on

Fang Fang was caught off guard by Chen Shimei's sudden request and looked awkwardly at her sisters at the table.

He Min was idly picking at the dishes in her bowl with chopsticks, showing no intention of responding.

Another sister simply turned her face away—she had always disliked this kind of tight T-shirt and earring-wearing style.

She always felt it exuded a ruffian vibe, and no matter how rich his family was, she couldn't bring herself to like it.

Liu Nansheng and Yu Lulu didn't even bother to pretend—they simply frowned and turned their faces away, their expressions of disgust almost screaming, 'Stay away from us'.

Fang Fang observed her sisters' expressions, already understanding their attitude, and politely issued a dismissal:

"Chen Shimei, maybe next time. We're about to eat, and you..."

But they clearly underestimated Chen Shimei's thick skin.

"Perfect, I haven't eaten yet either. How about we eat together?"

He completely ignored Fang Fang's hint and instead said enthusiastically.

"You've ordered too few dishes. This meal is on me!"

After speaking, he waved to a waiter not far away: "Waiter, add a few signature dishes to our table, and bring another set of bowls and chopsticks."

He turned to Fang Fang and grinned: "You don't mind if I freeload a meal, do you? Haha..."

These words, though seemingly generous and enthusiastic, were in fact a genuine form of moral blackmail.

It blocked all of Fang Fang's escape routes, leaving her speechless and unsure how to respond.

While Fang Fang was still in a dilemma, He Min had no such qualms.

"Waiter, we don't need to add any dishes to this table."

She directly interrupted Chen Shimei, then turned and looked him in the eye: "We can eat by ourselves. If you want to eat, please open another table."

Her words were very clear, but Chen Shimei still wouldn't give up: "Don't be so formal..."

"Please don't disturb our meal, okay?" He Min didn't give him a chance to finish his sentence.

Seeing that the situation was irreversible, Fang Fang finally stood firm: "Chen Shimei, it's really not convenient. You should go back first."

Even Fang Fang, whom he knew, said so. Chen Shimei, no matter how thick-skinned, couldn't stay any longer.

He awkwardly stood up, maintaining a last shred of dignity: "Alright then, you all eat slowly. My classmate is calling me too."

The moment he turned around, the smile on his face vanished instantly, replaced by a gloomy expression.

He cursed He Min fiercely in his heart: What kind of person! Does she really think she's someone important? I wasn't even here for you.

"I'm really sorry just now, for spoiling everyone's mood."

After Chen Shimei left, Fang Fang apologized to everyone with a flushed face, her voice full of guilt.

"How can you be blamed for this? That person was just too tactless." He Min gently patted her hand. No one present would blame Fang Fang for this.

Liu Nansheng also gently comforted her: "Don't take it to heart, you handled it very well."

Another sister pouted: "That person looked like a ruffian, dressed gaudily, and spoke in a greasy way."

In the private room, Zhong Hao nudged Chen Li with his elbow and gestured towards the door—in just this short time,

they had already seen three or four classmates making excuses to run out, and when they returned, they huddled together, excitedly whispering.

"I heard Liu Nansheng is in the lobby..."

"It's really her? Holy crap..."

The vague snippets of conversation that drifted over immediately made the two understand the reason for this 'collective outing'.

Chen Li shook his head and chuckled, while Zhong Hao simply rolled his eyes—well, it was the campus belle effect again, just like at school.

Zhong Hao and the others were used to this commotion—after all, they had been spending a lot of time with Liu Nansheng these days and had developed immunity.

If Chen Li hadn't been with her, giving them frequent opportunities to meet, they would probably also be part of the crowd browsing the lobby right now,

slipping out to peer, just like Chen Li's reaction when he first glimpsed that captivating profile at The Jade Emperor.

As time passed, dinner was nearing its end, and classmates gradually got up, gathering in twos and threes to chat.

Class monitor Li Wei happened to turn their way and joined the casual chat with a smile.

Zhong Hao glanced at his phone: "You guys chat, I need to go to the lobby to find He Min and the others."

He Min and the others were still discussing the earlier incident when a voice suddenly came from behind: "Beauties, would you mind if we shared a table?"

He Min instinctively went to refuse, but when she turned around and saw it was Zhong Hao, her face immediately broke into a smile.

Liu Nansheng and the others also showed knowing smiles.

"You scared me, I thought it was someone else!" He Min playfully punched Zhong Hao and pulled up a chair for him.

Liu Nansheng unconsciously looked towards the private room.

Zhong Hao teased: "Don't look, Chen Li is being held up by the class monitor chatting, he'll probably be out soon."

Liu Nansheng, whose thoughts had been exposed, blushed and softly 'hmm'-ed.

She was indeed eager to see Chen Li; she missed him a little.

In the private room, Li Wei and Chen Li were engrossed in conversation, while Zhong Lili on the side was fidgeting anxiously.

She had finally waited for Zhong Hao to leave, only for Li Wei to arrive. She was secretly anxious.

Li Wei, flipping through a list, smiled and said: "Chen Li, you have quite a few people paying this time. Besides Zhong Hao and them, there are five others. Are they all friends?"

"Yes, Zhong Hao's girlfriend and her sisters, and my girlfriend." Chen Li replied truthfully.

"Oh, you got a girlfriend? Introduce her to your brothers later." Li Wei was a little surprised.

"Did you get rich recently? I remember you used to..." As class monitor, he knew a bit about Chen Li's family situation.

"I earned a bit of money." Chen Li understated.

"Not bad, not bad... That's good. I'll go get busy now..."

Seeing that everyone had almost finished eating, Li Wei got up to arrange the next activity.

Zhong Lili, who had been waiting for her moment, finally got another chance and immediately moved closer to Chen Li.

"Chen Li, are you full?"

As soon as Zhong Lili spoke, Chen Li's gaze turned cold.

"Zhong Lili, get to the point. I don't have time to beat around the bush with you here." His tone showed clear impatience.

How could he not know this woman's intentions? If he wasn't still considering their classmate relationship, he wouldn't even bother to speak.

Zhong Lili was stunned on the spot by his retort.

Chen Li actually didn't take the bait at all? This was too bizarre; she simply didn't believe any man could be completely immune to her charm.

"Chen Li, I like you. Nothing happened between me and Chen Shimei... I'm still a virgin.

As long as you're willing, I'll do anything you say tonight..." She lowered her voice and feigned shyness, dropping her head.

She presented herself as ready to be taken, and Zhong Lili didn't believe any man could refuse such temptation.

Chen Li almost couldn't help but let out a cold laugh.

How could this woman be so shameless? She ignored him back then, and now that his circumstances were better, she was trying to cling to him?

He still remembered clearly—the way she looked at him back then was like she was looking at something disgusting and filthy.

At this point, classmates began to get up one after another, preparing to go to The Beach for a barbecue.

Chen Li stood up and looked down at her:

"I'm not willing, and I'm not interested. Also... stay away from me from now on—"

He paused, not bothering to hide the disgust in his tone: "Hmph—"
