89: Bishuiwan Trip Part 1

The next morning, the sun was shining brightly. Chen Li drove Meng Yu's Audi to the school gates to wait.

For this trip, he definitely couldn't drive a car as flashy as the Rolls-Royce. Driving this one himself and letting Liu Yu drive her own car would be just enough to fit everyone.

Before long, the BMW driven by Liu Yu arrived. Her roommate Chen Jing—Guo Zihong's girlfriend—was also in the car.

Since Chen Li had mentioned beforehand that he would be bringing Song Lingyun, and Chen Jing had met Song Lingyun before, everyone assumed she was Chen Li's girlfriend.

Thus, Liu Yu naturally greeted everyone as a regular friend, acting with poise and grace.

Once everyone had gathered, Song Lingyun stood quietly by Chen Li's side.

She only knew Chen Li here. Although she had met a few of his roommates, she didn't have a deep impression of them and merely nodded politely in greeting.

"Is everyone here? Then let's head out!" Zhang Yixi announced enthusiastically after counting heads.

He took his girlfriend Wu Wenqian into Liu Yu's car, while Wu Qiang and his girlfriend got into Chen Li's car.

The two cars, one following the other, drove toward the Bishui Bay Resort.

The atmosphere in Liu Yu's car was exceptionally lively.

Chen Jing had a lively personality, and Zhang Yixi and Wu Wenqian were also very talkative, so they chatted and laughed all the way.

Somehow, the conversation turned to Song Lingyun. Everyone had heard of the campus belle's beauty and began discussing her curiously.

While they chatted about Song Lingyun, Liu Yu, who was driving, only chimed in casually.

Although she knew Song Lingyun was one of Chen Li's women just like herself, she wasn't familiar with the other girl's personality yet and didn't know if they could get along harmoniously in the future.

In her heart, she secretly hoped everyone could get along well and not make things difficult for Chen Li.

In contrast, the atmosphere in Chen Li's car was entirely different.

After the introductions, Wu Qiang, needless to say, spoke pitifully little.

The other two women didn't really know each other either, so they spoke even less and had no intention of initiating conversation.

Chen Li originally wanted to find some topics to liven up the atmosphere, but no matter what he said, he only received short responses.

After a few attempts, he gave up.

Facing these three silent gourds, no matter how active he tried to be, he couldn't stir up any waves, so he just focused on driving.

The three of them were even more isolated—one leaned against the window to catch up on sleep, while the other two were looking down at their phones. The entire journey was so quiet that only the sound of the engine could be heard.

Two and a half hours later, they finally arrived at their destination—the Bishui Villa Hotel.

This was the best local Hotel, specially booked by Chen Li, who arranged five luxury rooms for everyone.

After parking, everyone checked in at the front desk and then went to their rooms to rest and freshen up.

"Is Liu Yu staying in a room by herself?" Song Lingyun asked softly while unpacking her luggage in their room.

"Yeah. Or... should I ask her to come over tonight?" Chen Li asked tentatively.

"The three of us together? That's so embarrassing..." Song Lingyun's cheeks flushed slightly.

At the thought of doing that with Chen Li in front of a stranger, she really couldn't let herself go.

But she was also afraid that a direct refusal would make Chen Li unhappy. If he got angry and went to Liu Yu, leaving her alone... "Then let her stay by herself for now."

Chen Li saw her hesitation and said considerately, "But you should try to get along well with her; she was here before you."

"Okay, I will," Song Lingyun nodded obediently.

Seeing that Song Lingyun seemed a bit reluctant, Chen Li didn't insist.

After all, they had just met. He could certainly force it, but that wouldn't be as enjoyable.

One step at a time. They had plenty of time in the future, so he'd let them interact naturally for now.

After a brief rest, everyone gathered in the lobby downstairs.

It was lunchtime, and Chen Li had pre-booked a local specialty farmhouse restaurant.

The two cars took everyone to a quiet farmhouse courtyard. Once seated, Chen Li formally introduced Song Lingyun to everyone.

Actually, everyone already knew, but this ritualistic step was still necessary.

"Lingyun, hello."

Liu Yu naturally sat in the seat next to Song Lingyun and took the initiative to greet her with poise.

She was never one to be coy or artificial. Since she knew they were both Chen Li's women, she didn't bother with any petty schemes or complicated thoughts.

"Liu Yu, hello," Song Lingyun responded somewhat reservedly, her voice soft.

She quietly sized up the equally exquisite girl before her, feeling a bit nervous. After all, she was the newcomer and didn't know what kind of attitude the other girl would have toward her.

Liu Yu saw her unease and took the initiative to chat about university life.

Under her lead, Song Lingyun gradually relaxed and began to talk more.

To Song Lingyun's surprise, Liu Yu didn't show any rejection; instead, she was very willing to communicate.

Both were high-profile figures on Campus. Sitting together now, they truly felt a sense of mutual appreciation.

Chen Li sat nearby, watching the two girls chat more and more congenially, occasionally leaning in to whisper secrets.

With smiles on their faces, the weight on his heart finally lifted. Seeing how sensible they both were saved him a lot of trouble.

He pricked up his ears and could vaguely catch snippets of their conversation—sometimes they were talking about him,

sometimes discussing the boys who had pursued them at school, and occasionally exchanging tips on outfits and styling.

Seeing them chatting so happily, Chen Li couldn't help but curl his lips. It seemed that bringing them along together was the right decision.

"Come on, let's propose a toast to Chen Li!"

Zhang Yixi stood up at the right moment, raising his glass. "Thanks to our tycoon for sponsoring this entire trip."

"Thanks to the God-tier Tycoon, A Li!" Guo Zihong immediately echoed.

"Thanks, Chen Li..." Chen Jing also smiled and raised her glass.

Everyone thanked Chen Li one after another, and he responded to each, "You're all too kind."

Finally, his eyes met Liu Yu's. She gave him a playful wink, as if saying, 'See, I'm behaving well, right?'

Chen Li smiled knowingly, mentally giving her credit for a job well done.

After eating and drinking their fill, everyone enthusiastically prepared for the afternoon's activities.

According to the plan Zhang Yixi and the others had made beforehand, the tide happened to be going out at this time, making it the perfect time to go beachcombing.

The group walked toward The Beach behind the Hotel, chatting and laughing.

They changed into the comfortable slippers provided by the Hotel and collected their beachcombing tools—a small bucket for each person, along with tongs, small shovels, and so on.

The tools were shared in sets of two. This arrangement was just right, allowing the couples to interact naturally and cooperate while beachcombing.

To Chen Li's amusement and chagrin, Liu Yu and Song Lingyun had somehow become close friends. The two of them formed a team to share tools, leaving him high and dry.

Helpless, he had to take a set of tools for himself and silently follow behind them.

Passing through a palm grove, the view suddenly opened up.

The Beach after the low tide revealed an endless seabed, with fine golden sand near the shore.

Further ahead was a tidal flat covered in black reefs, with countless puddles of various sizes scattered among the rocks, sparkling in the sunlight.

"Wow—"
