241: Chapter 241: Which direction should we set our next target in?

Inside Yang Tongan's private office at the Xishan Base.

The mellow aroma of premium Da Hong Pao tea permeated the spacious room.

Yang Tongan picked up the teapot, his wrist dipping slightly, and the amber tea liquid stretched into a thin line, precisely falling into the teacup in front of Lin Yuan.

"Have a taste; it was just delivered today."

Yang Tongan put down the teapot and leaned back comfortably against the wide sofa, a hint of hard-to-conceal relaxation and pleasure showing in his half-closed eyes.

Lin Yuan nodded and took a small sip from the teacup, the mellow tea fragrance instantly spreading across his palate.

"I have some news for you."

Yang Tongan's fingers tapped lightly twice on the sofa, his voice raspy yet filled with unmistakable joy.

"After a period of extremely thorough asset transfers and underground coordination..."

"That household-name 'superhero' actor from The Other Side of the Ocean successfully arrived in Xia Country this morning with his whole family."

"Currently, we are processing his arrival procedures and identity changes."

Lin Yuan wasn't overly surprised upon hearing this.

He simply rotated the warm teacup in his hand gently, watching the tiny ripples on the surface of the tea as a sly smile slowly spread from the depths of his eyes.

"He's finally here."

Four words, spoken in a flat tone.

Seeing this, Yang Tongan looked Lin Yuan up and down with a mix of teasing and curiosity.

"You kid."

Yang Tongan joked half-playfully,

"Isn't this reaction a bit too calm?"

"That's a super idol worshipped by billions of people worldwide."

"Countless young people dream of meeting him once, getting an autograph, or even going crazy for him."

Elder Yang shook his head and teased, "I thought you'd want to go see him immediately after hearing the news."

Lin Yuan put down the teacup and couldn't help but chuckle.

Leaning back on the sofa, he crossed his hands naturally and looked directly at Yang Tongan, his tone carrying a sense of matter-of-factness.

"Elder Yang, most young people in this world would indeed be fanatical."

"But I am definitely not among them."

Lin Yuan's voice was clear, and every word carried an indisputable weight.

"Others chase him because that kind of sci-fi romance only exists on a fake screen; they can only look up to it."

"But I..."

His fingertips lightly tapped the coffee table.

"Am the one who can forcibly drag science fiction into reality."

After he spoke, the large office fell silent for a moment.

Yang Tongan stared at Lin Yuan for two seconds, then shook his head and let out a low laugh.

"Alright, you're something else, kid."

If anyone else had said that, it would be called arrogance and ignorance of one's limits.

But coming from Lin Yuan, Yang Tongan felt it was only natural, even feeling that it was exactly as it should be!

Such was the truth.

That actor wore a prop costume and followed a script.

But what Lin Yuan created was a real, flight-capable, combat-ready ultimate armor.

It was only natural for the creator to look down upon the creation.

The laughter subsided.

Lin Yuan took a shallow sip from the teacup, set it back on the coffee table, and naturally transitioned to the main topic.

"Elder Yang, since the man himself has arrived."

"It's time to send someone to deliver that idle Individual Combat Armor at the Xishan Base to him."

Yang Tongan raised an eyebrow, looking at Lin Yuan with slight surprise.

"Sending it over just like that?"

Yang Tongan's tone carried a hint of deliberation.

"After all, he just arrived; the loyalty tests and identity conversion background checks haven't been fully completed yet."

"Shouldn't we leave him hanging for a bit? Temper his personality?"

"In this world, things obtained too easily are often not cherished."

Lin Yuan shook his head calmly.

"There's no need."

"Elder Yang, we both know what he's after by being so decisive as to move his whole family across half the Blue Star."

"He's after that real mecha; he's after the chance to truly become a superhero for once."

Lin Yuan's tone was relaxed, yet every word revealed a deep understanding.

"Since his sincerity is there, as a major power, our Xia Country naturally cannot lack magnanimity."

"Besides, that armor sitting in the Xishan Base warehouse is useless except for gathering dust."

At this point, Lin Yuan shifted the topic subtly.

"And, Elder Yang."

Lin Yuan's voice lowered half a notch, his tone becoming meaningful.

"Think about it, in a while, once the news that the 'superhero actor has immigrated to Xia Country with his family' is announced..."

"What will the reaction of those high-level officials The Other Side of the Ocean be?"

Yang Tongan's fingers stopped tapping the armrest.

He didn't speak, but the sudden burst of sharp light in his eyes said everything.

Lin Yuan continued, speaking unhurriedly.

"Their cultural totem, the core soul of the superhero IP they spent so much effort building..."

"Actually defected to Xia Country of his own accord."

"This kind of betrayal is louder than any slap in the face."

A very slight curve formed at the corners of Lin Yuan's lips.

"By then, this former cultural totem will surely become a thorn in the side of the decision-makers The Other Side of the Ocean."

"They will spare no expense, using all the sleeper agents hidden in Xia Country, to try and eliminate this 'traitor' to save face."

"Giving him the mecha in advance is both fulfilling a promise and directly enhancing his own defensive and self-preservation capabilities."

"Using the armor from a sci-fi movie from The Other Side of the Ocean to block real bullets fired by agents from The Other Side of the Ocean."

Lin Yuan looked up at Yang Tongan and smiled.

"Isn't this scene very dramatic?"

Listening to Lin Yuan's series of calculations, Yang Tongan felt a slight chill down his spine.

Destroying the heart.

Not only did he want to destroy their faith, but he also wanted their agents to fall into despair when facing that real mecha.

"You kid and your schemes... The Other Side of the Ocean has really run into eight lifetimes of bad luck!"

Yang Tongan pointed at Lin Yuan, struggling for a long time before choking out that one sentence.

Lin Yuan smiled, then nonchalantly added one last key detail.

"Of course, sincerity is one thing, but precaution is another."

"The mecha can be given to him, but the underlying logic must never go out of control."

Lin Yuan shrugged, his smile calm.

"For his daily wear, we'll only open basic flight functions and standard physical protection fields; it'll be enough to use as high-tech body armor."

"It's enough for his self-protection and enough for him to look cool in front of the public."

"As for the complete weapon systems..."

Lin Yuan's index finger tapped lightly in the air.

"If there's a need for actual combat later, authorization can be granted remotely from this side."

Yang Tongan fell silent for two seconds after hearing this seamless series of plans.

Then, he nodded sincerely, his coarse voice filled with praise.

"Thoroughly considered."

"Alright, I'll arrange for someone to deliver the armor later."

Yang Tongan took a sip from his teacup and set it down, a smile appearing on his face.

"I wonder how crazily surprised he'll be when he sees a real mecha placed in front of him so soon."

Lin Yuan simply smiled and didn't respond.

The office was quiet for a moment.

The tea fragrance curled upwards.

Yang Tongan placed his teacup on the coffee table and leaned forward slightly.

His half-closed old eyes slowly lifted, his gaze falling on Lin Yuan with a deep sense of expectation.

"By the way."

"The mecha matter is settled, and the various lines of the south heaven gate are progressing steadily."

"So, the next step..."

Elder Yang stared intently into Lin Yuan's eyes, wanting to see through them to the future destiny of Xia Country.

"In which direction do you plan to set the next target?"
