41: Chapter 41 is impossible to pass.
At that moment, a villager suddenly appeared by the roadside, looking at them with a face full of terror: 'You must leave quickly! The Men in Black from the Dark Prison are not far ahead. They've laid many traps; you simply cannot get through!'
Bi Luo responded coldly, 'We already know. Thank you for the warning.'
The villager looked at this group of fearless young people, his heart filled with admiration. 'You are truly remarkable. I'll wait here for your return.'
Chu Yang smiled faintly and nodded in acknowledgment. 'Thank you.'
The group pressed on. Strange movements came from the woods ahead, clearly indicating that the Dark Prison had set an ambush. Suddenly, a group of Men in Black leaped out from behind the trees, holding various weapons, their gazes fixed on them with fierce hostility.
'You've finally arrived!' one of the Men in Black sneered coldly. 'We've been waiting for you for a long time!'
Chu Yang said gravely, 'It seems you are prepared. Then let us see who is stronger!'
At his command, the battle erupted instantly. Nangong Han brandished her whip, weaving through the enemies with the agility of a swimming dragon—her skills were truly admirable. Daoist Wangchuan employed strange and unpredictable mystic arts, catching the enemies off guard. Meanwhile, Bi Luo moved like a ghost, darting back and forth among the foes, each strike precise and lethal.
'Heavens, these people are incredibly powerful!' exclaimed a bystander hiding behind a tree.
Another onlooker stared, dumbfounded. 'Especially that young man in white—he's practically god-like!'
Villagers also rushed out from their houses, watching the fierce battle from a distance. The children cheered excitedly, 'Go, heroes!'
Amidst the encouragement from the crowd, Chu Yang's sword energy arched like a rainbow. Each strike carried immense power, cutting down the surrounding enemies one by one. His gaze was resolute, showing not a trace of fear.
'Hmph, you people are no match for us!' Chu Yang said disdainfully.
Just then, a Man in Black lunged from behind, attempting to ambush Qing Luo. Chu Yang reacted swiftly, slicing through the opponent's weapon with his sword, followed by a powerful blow that sent the attacker flying.
'Brother Chu Yang, thank you!' Qing Luo said gratefully, tears glistening in her eyes.
Chu Yang smiled and comforted her, 'Don't be afraid. I'm right here.'
The battle continued for a while until the forces of the Dark Prison were completely defeated. Upon seeing this, the onlookers erupted into cheers. A young villager shouted excitedly, 'That was amazing! They're like the legendary heroes from the stories!'
Another villager watched with envy, 'I wish I could become a master like them!'
Chu Yang and Nangong Han exchanged a smile, as if saying: All of this was worth it.
'Let's go. The real challenge still lies ahead.' Chu Yang led the group forward.
Passing through the battlefield, they arrived at the entrance to Zhuque Mountain. A massive stone gate towered before them, inscribed with ancient characters. A mysterious aura filled the air, as if a force was trying to bar their way.
'This is the entrance to Zhuque Mountain,' said Daoist Wangchuan, his expression grave.
Chu Yang stepped forward and lightly touched the stone gate. Suddenly, a light glowed upon it, and the gate slowly began to open.
'This is the final trial,' Chu Yang stated solemnly.
Everyone tightened their grip on their weapons, preparing for the challenge ahead. They knew this would be a life-or-death battle, yet each was filled with determination and courage.
'No matter the outcome, we will not give up,' Nangong Han said softly.
Chu Yang glanced back at her, a flicker of warmth in his eyes. 'We will face it together.'
Step by step, they walked through the mysterious stone gate. The sunlight behind them gradually faded, darkness enveloping their figures. What exactly awaited them ahead?
'We will definitely win!' Qing Luo tightly grasped Chu Yang's hand, her eyes shining with unwavering resolve.
Chu Yang nodded, his gaze brimming with confidence. 'We will.'
They continued forward, entering the unknown abyss. What would their future fate be? Everything remained uncertain...
'What awaits us ahead?' Nangong Han asked quietly.
Chu Yang looked back, his profound gaze seeming to pierce through all obscurity. 'Only by moving forward will we find the answer.'
Before his words faded, the stone gate slowly closed behind them, plunging the entire world into silence. Would what lay ahead be hope or despair?
'We will definitely make it through!' Qing Luo followed closely behind Chu Yang, the conviction in her heart growing stronger.
'I hope so,' Nangong Han murmured to herself, a trace of worry flashing in her eyes.
Step by step, they walked into the darkness, ready to meet the unknown challenge...
After everyone stepped through the stone gate, a burst of intense light flashed. When their vision cleared, they found themselves in a bizarre space. All around was a dim forest, with only scattered flickers of firelight in the distance, as if guiding their way forward.
'What is this place?' Qing Luo asked in a low voice, a hint of unease in her tone.
Chu Yang surveyed the surroundings, then gently patted her hand. 'This is an illusionary realm within Zhuque Mountain. What we seek may lie deep within this forest.'
Daoist Wangchuan nodded slowly, an air of transcendent calm on his face. 'This place is filled with various arrays and traps. We must remain vigilant.'
Bi Luo sneered, her longsword swaying slightly. 'What does it matter what arrays or traps there are? Let's just charge straight through.'
Nangong Han frowned and cautioned, 'Don't underestimate the enemy. After all, we still don't know what exactly is hidden within this illusion.'
Just then, a group of villagers dressed in tattered clothes appeared on the path ahead. Each had a gaunt face, yet their eyes held curiosity and reverence.
'Have you come from the outside?' an elderly villager asked, trembling as he stepped forward, his gaze fixed intently on Chu Yang.
Chu Yang nodded. 'We are here to search for something.'
The villagers' expressions immediately brightened. A young man said excitedly, 'If you've made it here, you must be heroes of great ability! Legend says only true warriors can break through the many obstacles and enter this illusionary realm.'
An old man added, 'The dangers here are far more perilous than the outside world. However, as long as one holds justice in their heart, there is always a thread of hope.'
'Thank you for your encouragement,' Chu Yang replied with a smile, the sense of responsibility within him growing stronger.
'We must be going now,' the young villager said excitedly. 'To see such warriors in my lifetime is truly fortunate.'
The villagers waved farewell to Chu Yang and his companions one by one, gradually fading into the darkness. Their departure added a touch of warmth and hope to the silent forest.
Chu Yang looked back at his companions, his eyes unwavering with resolve. 'Since we've come this far, we must find what we need.'
Everyone nodded in agreement, their hearts filled with determination.
