50: Chapter 50 Reaction

And so, facing an unknown fate, everyone awaited their own answer. Chu Yang and his companions stepped onto the path leading deeper into the ancient castle. The surroundings grew increasingly gloomy, with occasional eerie moans echoing. The cracks in the bluestone floor looked particularly glaring in the faint light.

"This place is truly bizarre; I've got goosebumps all over," a young Wanderer whispered.

"Don't be afraid. We have Chu Yang leading the way up front," another Wanderer comforted.

"That's right! Chu Yang is so capable; he'll definitely lead us out of here safely!" Nangong Han added from the side.

At that moment, a low murmur suddenly rose within the group: "How powerful do you think this Ghost King really is?"

"They say he possesses an immortal body and can control all the ghosts in this area," an old man said gravely. "But as long as we work together, there's nothing we cannot overcome."

The group continued forward, passing through a narrow corridor before arriving at a massive hall. In the center of the hall stood an ornate large coffin, surrounded by many crystal pillars shimmering with an eerie blue light.

"Wow, that coffin looks incredibly valuable!" a young man exclaimed in awe.

"Don't touch anything recklessly. There might be traps or mechanisms," Bi Luo warned.

"Don't worry, Miss Bi Luo. We'll be careful," Chu Yang said firmly, the crystal key in his hand once again emitting a soft glow.

At that very moment, the lid of the large coffin slowly began to open, releasing a wave of heavy, decaying air. Everyone instinctively took several steps back, holding their breath as they watched the scene unfold before them.

A pale arm reached out from the coffin, followed by an aged and haggard face. "Finally, someone has come. Welcome to my domain," a hoarse voice emanated from the coffin.

"Are you the Ghost King?" Chu Yang tightened his grip on his sword, his gaze resolute.

"Indeed. Since you have trespassed into my territory, you must accept my challenge. Otherwise, become the permanent Guardians of this place!" the Ghost King said coldly.

"We don't have time to waste here. We must find the way home!" Chu Yang responded loudly.

As soon as the words left his mouth, the Ghost King suddenly swung his arm. A powerful whirlwind instantly surged throughout the entire hall. Everyone was swept into it, forced to seek cover wherever they could.

"Chu Yang, what do we do?" Nangong Han shouted anxiously.

"We have to defeat him! Everyone, follow me!" Chu Yang charged forward, leading the charge toward the Ghost King. The others quickly followed, launching their own attacks.

"He's too strong... His power seems limitless!" a young knight gasped, panting.

"Don't give up! We can do this!" Bi Luo encouraged the group while using her magic to provide them with protection.

Just as the situation grew increasingly tense, Chu Yang suddenly noticed that the Ghost King's gaze seemed drawn to something. Following the line of sight, he saw a mysterious crystal placed beside the coffin.

"Could that be his weakness?" A thought flashed through Chu Yang's mind. He swiftly changed tactics, using his speed to circle behind the Ghost King and, seizing the opportunity, snatched the crystal.

Instantly, the Ghost King's power seemed greatly diminished. "How dare you!" he roared in fury, but he was already powerless to counterattack.

In the end, under Chu Yang's leadership, the group successfully defeated the Ghost King and reclaimed control over the Forgotten Land. Peace was restored to the hall.

"We did it! It's truly incredible!" Nangong Han said excitedly.

"But this is only the beginning. Many unknown dangers still await us," Qing Luo cautioned, warily scanning their surroundings.

At that moment, a deep roar suddenly sounded from the distance, and the ground trembled along with it.

"It seems another tough battle awaits us," the older woman said calmly.

"No matter how perilous the road ahead, as long as we have faith, we can overcome any difficulty," Chu Yang said determinedly, looking at his companions. "Are you ready to face a new challenge?"

"We're ready!" everyone answered in unison, their voices filled with resolve and courage.

However, just as they were about to leave, a tremendous crash shattered the silence, plunging the entire ancient castle into chaos once more...

"What kind of enemy will it be this time?" a Wanderer murmured to himself.

Another whispered, "No matter what, I believe Chu Yang and the others will find a solution. What we need to do is keep our faith and stay close to them."

And so, in the midst of an unknown darkness, each person silently hoped for their own bright future. Following another loud crash, the entire ancient castle descended into chaos once again. Chu Yang quickly turned around, his sharp gaze scanning the surroundings, trying to locate the source of the sound. Suddenly, a dark shadow rushed out from one side of the hall, heading straight for Chu Yang.

"Look out!" Nangong Han cried out in alarm, but Chu Yang was already prepared. He leaped sideways, evading the dark shadow, and immediately drew his longsword, slashing toward the oncoming figure. It was a massive spectral creature, grotesque in appearance, emitting a foul stench, with eyes that glowed with an evil red light.

Upon seeing this, everyone rushed forward to provide support. In an instant, the clamor of battle, the clashing of weapons, and the chanting of incantations interwove, creating a scene of intense combat.

"What exactly is this thing?" a Wanderer shouted while struggling to fend off the attacks from the spectral creature.

"Don't worry about that! Just focus on attacking with all your might!" the elder said gravely, wielding an iron staff that whistled through the air with formidable force.

"Everyone, be careful! Protect the crystal!" Bi Luo reminded them. While casting spells to help her teammates withstand the attacks, she vigilantly guarded the mysterious crystal that Chu Yang had seized from the Ghost King earlier. "It might be very important to us."

"Understood! We won't let this big guy ruin what we've achieved!" Chu Yang declared firmly, then abruptly accelerated to launch a fierce assault on the enemy. His movements were swift and precise, each step seemingly calculated to perfection, inspiring awe in those who watched.

"He's just too amazing..." a young onlooker marveled, unable to contain his admiration. "No wonder he could defeat the Ghost King earlier. Brother Chu Yang is simply too strong!"

"Exactly! And have you noticed? Whenever there's a crisis, he's always there. I really don't know how he maintains such boundless stamina," another Wanderer beside him nodded in agreement, his words filled with deep respect.

Meanwhile, the situation on the battlefield gradually became clearer. Despite the spectral creature's extraordinary strength, it was finally subdued through the group's concerted efforts. Chu Yang, in particular, discovered a weak point on the creature's body at a critical moment—a clearly indented spot on its chest that elicited a massive reaction with each attack.
