46: Chapter 46 Envy
Chu Yang nodded, his gaze burning like a torch. "We will definitely be victorious!"
The battle continued, the outcome still undecided, but Chu Yang and his companions were filled with confidence and determination.
Ahead, unknown dangers and challenges still awaited them.
The intensity of the battle exceeded everyone's imagination; the number and strength of the enemies far surpassed their expectations.
Relying on their tacit cooperation and firm willpower, Chu Yang and his group repelled the enemy time and again, but their stamina was gradually being depleted.
"These people are too strong!" a young Wanderer exclaimed. "We have never seen such a battle before."
"That's right, they are practically gods of war!" another Wanderer added, their eyes filled with envy and admiration.
Just then, a massive stone statue suddenly emerged from the darkness, its eyes flashing with an eerie red light, and its hands brandishing a heavy greatsword.
"It's a Stone Statue Guardian!" a Wanderer shouted. "I've heard this is the most powerful guard in the stone tower!"
"A Stone Statue Guardian?!" Chu Yang frowned, feeling a sense of oppression. "Everyone be careful, this thing is not simple!"
Daoist Wangchuan stepped forward, a flash of determination in his eyes. "Chu Yang, protect the crystal ball; leave this to me."
"Master, can you handle it?" Chu Yang asked worriedly.
"Rest assured, I won't hold you back." Daoist Wangchuan smiled lightly, his figure instantly disappearing from where he stood, turning into an afterimage as he charged towards the Stone Statue Guardian.
Daoist Wangchuan cast an ancient spell, and waves of powerful spiritual energy began to permeate the air.
The Stone Statue Guardian seemed to be enraged, roaring as it swung its greatsword, each strike carrying the force of a thunderbolt.
"Master, be careful!" Qing Luo couldn't help but shout.
"Don't worry, he will be fine," Chu Yang comforted, while vigilantly scanning the surroundings to prevent other enemies from taking advantage of the situation to launch a sneak attack.
Nangong Han and Bi Luo also joined the battle; their attacks were like a violent storm, constantly weakening the Stone Statue Guardian's defenses.
Meanwhile, Daoist Wangchuan used his ingenious movement techniques and powerful spells, constantly searching for an opportunity to break through.
"These people are all too strong!" the watching Wanderers exclaimed in amazement. "We have never seen such experts before!"
"Especially that old man; he seems to have special magical powers," a middle-aged woman sighed.
"Yeah, he's truly amazing!" a young man said excitedly.
The battle grew more intense, and Daoist Wangchuan finally found an opportunity. He gathered all his strength and struck the Stone Statue Guardian's chest with his palm.
The Stone Statue Guardian let out a painful roar, and cracks began to appear all over its body.
"Now is the time!" Chu Yang shouted, leading everyone to launch a fierce attack together.
The Stone Statue Guardian could finally no longer withstand the multiple attacks; it collapsed with a crash and turned into a pile of rubble.
"We did it!" everyone cheered.
"I didn't expect that we would actually defeat the Stone Statue Guardian," a Wanderer remarked with emotion.
"That's right, these heroes are truly incredible," another Wanderer echoed.
Just then, Daoist Wangchuan, breathing heavily, walked forward slowly and looked at the Stone Statue Guardian lying on the ground.
"It seems the secret here is not so easily obtained."
"Master, are you alright?" Chu Yang asked with concern.
"I'm fine, just a bit tired." Daoist Wangchuan smiled slightly, his gaze turning to the stone platform. "We should go and solve this mystery now."
Chu Yang nodded, holding the crystal ball, and walked cautiously towards the stone platform.
Suddenly, the runes on the stone platform began to flicker, emitting a dazzling light.
The entire hall was trembling, as if something was about to awaken.
"What's going on?" Qing Luo asked nervously.
"Not good, there's a trap here!" Nangong Han shouted loudly.
Just then, the center of the stone platform suddenly split open, and a giant golden eye appeared in the air, its gaze filled with an ancient and mysterious aura.
"Welcome to the center of the Forgotten Land," the eye said slowly. "That you were able to pass this series of trials proves your strength. Now, it is time to reveal the secret here."
"What secret?" Chu Yang asked, gripping the crystal ball in his hand tightly.
"Want to know the answer? Then keep going forward." The eye smiled, then vanished into the light.
"Let's go, there is more of the unknown waiting for us ahead," Chu Yang said firmly.
Everyone nodded and followed Chu Yang as they continued deeper into the underground passage.
The light in the passage was dim, and the air was filled with an oppressive atmosphere.
They didn't know how long they had been walking before they arrived at a more open space.
"Is this the depths of the stone tower?" Nangong Han asked.
"It seems so." Chu Yang observed his surroundings. "Everyone be prepared; the challenges ahead will likely be even more difficult."
"No matter what the challenge is, we will not give up," Qing Luo said firmly.
"That's right, we must uncover the truth," Bi Luo agreed.
Just as everyone was preparing to continue moving forward, they suddenly heard a soft laugh, the voice filled with provocation and mockery.
"I really didn't expect that you would actually be able to make it here." A figure slowly walked out from the shadows, a cold smile hanging on the corners of their mouth.
"Who are you?" Chu Yang asked, his eyes filled with vigilance.
"I am the Final Guardian here, responsible for guarding the final secret," the person said indifferently. "You think getting the crystal ball is enough? Haha, everything has only just begun!"
"Then try to stop us now!" Chu Yang sneered, gripping his longsword tightly.
"Haha, then let us begin!" The figure let out a cold laugh, and with a wave of their hand, the entire space seemed to be shrouded in a powerful force.
"It looks like another fierce battle is coming," Nangong Han said.
"That's right, but this time, we will never back down," Chu Yang said firmly.
The battle erupted once again, the outcome still undecided, but Chu Yang and his companions were filled with confidence and determination.
And ahead, unknown dangers and challenges still awaited them...
"No matter what, we will be victorious!" Chu Yang said firmly.
"That's right, we will face it together!" Qing Luo responded.
And the Final Guardian revealed a meaningful smile; everything was filled with the unknown and suspense...
"Let us see who will have the last laugh," the Guardian said in a low voice, and the air was filled with an eerie calm.
Chu Yang and his companions gripped their weapons tightly, preparing to welcome the coming battle.
The Final Guardian stood opposite them, an invisible pressure radiating from their body, as if even the air was trembling.
