112: Departure and the conception of a new puppet
After dealing with the remaining demons on the island, and interrogating some demons to confirm Zhang Mu's story, Qin Yue and his two companions, along with Zhang Mu and his companions, embarked on a journey to find the Overturning Sea King.
"Junior Brother Qin, still tinkering with your Puppets? Have you made any progress in Puppetry over the past two years?"
During the first mission Small World, Shi Qianjun had witnessed the power of Qin Yue's Puppetry.
The Six-Armed Puppet manipulated by Qin Yue could contend head-on with a Ninggang Realm demon without falling into a disadvantage, and the Sword Crane Puppet was equivalent to adding the attack power of another Sword Peak Disciple.
Now, seeing Qin Yue still researching Puppets on the ship, he couldn't help but be curious: Junior Brother Qin's Puppetry was already so powerful, was there still room for improvement?
"Junior Brother hasn't made much progress in Puppetry over the past two years; it's just that after coming to this Small World, I've had some new ideas for improving my previous Puppetry.
Senior Brother Shi, how is your leg? Didn't you think of any other solutions after returning to Martial Peak?
Why are you still using an iron rod tied to your leg?
That must still have some impact on combat, right?"
Qin Yue chatted with Senior Brother Shi while selecting raw Materials for his new Puppets from the demon corpses scattered everywhere.
"The Cultivation of Martial Peak is different from your Pill Refining Peak; we are very cautious about the use of external objects.
For a Martial Artist of Martial Peak, the use of every external object will add another obstacle to our Breakthrough to the Divine Intent Realm.
So, even after returning to Martial Peak, I never thought about treating this broken leg.
You don't need to worry about combat.
Over the past two years, I have modified some of my Martial Skill Cultivation methods; this broken leg will not only not be an obstacle to my combat but will instead become my aid.
When it's time for battle, I will let those opponents who underestimate me know what it means to be caught off guard."
Seeing that Senior Brother Shi had his own considerations, Qin Yue said no more.
Everyone has their own choice for Martial Dao Cultivation, and Qin Yue had no standing to interfere.
Shi Qianjun watched Qin Yue engrossed in the development of Puppetry; he didn't want to disturb him, so he went to the bow of the ship again to ask Zhang Mu about other situations in this Small World.
Qin Yue's Puppet creation this time was, of course, to meet the needs of the Ten Thousand Streams Convergence Art.
Before coming to this Small World, Qin Yue had two ideas.
One was to create more Puppets capable of using the Ten Thousand Streams Convergence Art, to coordinate attacks by combining the strength of many, following the original state of the Ten Thousand Streams Convergence Art.
The advantage of this method was that Puppet creation was simple, and even if a Puppet broke, it could be replaced at any time.
There was no need for too many modifications to the Puppets; as long as there were enough Puppets, the effect of the Ten Thousand Streams Convergence Art could be guaranteed.
This method also had its drawbacks; one was the original drawback of the Ten Thousand Streams Convergence Art, which was that it had ample offense but insufficient defense.
If the opponent could destroy a certain number of Puppets in advance while Qin Yue was preparing the Ten Thousand Streams Convergence Art, then his Ten Thousand Streams Convergence Art would fail, or at least lack the powerful attack power he imagined.
The second drawback was Qin Yue's limited control range.
Although his current control range for Gangsi was much larger than when he first began to Cultivate, it was still too small for thousands of Puppets.
If Qin Yue wanted to use the Ten Thousand Streams Convergence Art, he had to keep these Puppets tightly clustered around him.
However, this would make him too large a target; as soon as he appeared before the enemy, he would definitely become the focus of their concentrated fire.
Coupled with his control over so many Puppets, his flexibility and reaction speed would both decrease, and Qin Yue worried that he would become a living target on the battlefield, where anyone who saw him could take a shot.
Qin Yue's second idea for creating Puppets was to create large Puppets.
Directly creating a hundred-armed or thousand-armed giant, and manipulating the giant in battle, would solve both the defense problem and the problem of inconvenient manipulation.
However, this method also had flaws.
Multi-armed giants first presented many technical difficulties in their creation; making so many meridian circulatory Systems operate smoothly within one body was exponentially more difficult than creating the original Six-Armed Puppet.
Furthermore, the Puppet's movement System and defense System were both major undertakings.
Qin Yue wasn't even confident he could complete its creation before the Small World mission ended!
If the Puppet couldn't be completed, then what was the point of expending so much effort on it?
This multi-armed giant also had a flaw: long-distance raids and hidden attacks.
Up to now, most of the battles Qin Yue had experienced were sudden encounters, and Qin Yue had very high requirements for concealing himself.
He rarely went straight to the enemy's lair to eliminate them.
However, if he carried this giant, all of Qin Yue's stealth tactics would be unusable, and in sudden battles, this giant Puppet would only be an ornament, completely unable to enter the battlefield.
Because of the reasons above, before coming to the mission Small World, Qin Yue was always conflicted about the creation of the Ten Thousand Streams Convergence Art Puppet.
But in this Small World, Qin Yue found a perfect Puppet carrier.
That was the large ship beneath his feet.
Most of this Small World was seawater, with only scattered small islands distributed across the sea.
This also meant that using a ship as a carrier could go anywhere without arousing suspicion.
This solved the movement and concealment problems of Qin Yue's previous two plans.
Large-scale battles in this Small World generally occurred at sea, because even the demons knew that the land area was too small; if battles frequently took place on land, the islands of this Small World would soon be destroyed.
Moreover, using a ship as a Puppet carrier had another great advantage: Qin Yue didn't have to create the movement and defense modules himself.
As long as he acquired a sturdy ship, all these problems could be solved.
Modifying an already constructed ship would greatly save Qin Yue's Puppet creation time.
And with the massive size of a ship, Qin Yue could calmly arrange thousands of meridian Systems.
However, at present, Qin Yue was still in the Material reserve and theoretical design phase for the Thousand-Handed Giant Ship.
For Qin Yue to realize this concept, the primary task was to find a satisfactory good ship.
Since the ship handlers were all Martial Artists, coupled with the help of Qin Yue and his two companions, the fleet quickly arrived at the battlefield where the Overturning Sea King had been ambushed that day.
More than half a month had passed, and with the powerful restorative ability of the ocean, the entire battlefield was already calm, showing no trace of battle.
"Three benefactors, this is where we were defeated and captured that day; these are all the clues I can provide.
You can use your own abilities to search for clues about the Overturning Sea King here.
I will also contact the Overturning Sea King through my channels and inform him of the situation here; whether the Overturning Sea King believes it or not is beyond my control."
After saying these words, Zhang Mu left a ship and his contact information for Qin Yue and his two companions, then departed with his companions in another direction, leaving only Qin Yue and his two companions standing at the bow, gazing at the former battlefield.
