347: Chapter 347 Preparation

Early morning, Moonshadow Sect.

The morning light was dim, and a thin mist like gauze enveloped Tianyuan Peak, which pierced through the sea of clouds.

Rosy light penetrated the cloud layer, plating the continuous rows of jade buildings with a layer of pale gold. At this moment, graceful figures could be seen flying through the peaks on swords, their skirts fluttering and jade ornaments clinking softly. Occasional whispers and light laughter from women drifted through the cold air, adding a touch of vibrant Life Qi to this fairyland.

Tianyuan Peak, Sect Main Hall.

The heavy hall doors slowly opened, and six women filed out, their faces all carrying a hint of laziness and a satisfied blush.

The three Elders in front had voluptuous and proud figures; the ties of their silk camisoles were loose, barely containing their bursting fullness, which trembled slightly with every step.

Following closely behind were the three Elders of the Golden Lotus Workshop. The long legs of the first Elder, wrapped in pure white silk stockings, were particularly eye-catching, with several dark, undried wet stains faintly visible under the morning light.

Another was simply barefoot, her crystalline white toes dyed with balsam, her feet untouched by dust.

The last Elder's steps were slightly unsteady, her delicate hollowed-out high heels making a crisp sound on the jade steps. As she walked, the edge of torn black silk stockings at the base of her thighs was faintly visible through the slit in her skirt.

They exchanged knowing glances and whispered laughter, soon taking to the air and departing.

Inside the hall, a gilded incense burner in the corner had tipped over, the unburnt dark red ash mixing with spilled, viscous nectar to form a messy wet stain on the polished floor tiles.

A torn ice-blue gossamer outer garment half-covered a fallen fruit plate; occasionally, a corner would lift with the morning breeze from the window, revealing small grapes and heavy watermelons beneath.

Several brightly colored gossamer outer garments and crumpled black and white silk stockings were strewn loosely over the nearby armrests and the soft carpeted floor. One black silk stocking was even half-submerged in the liquid flowing from a tipped jade cup—a mixture of wine fragrance and a strange scent.

Ling Hao reclined in the large jade throne at the head of the hall, resting with his eyes closed.

Last night's Sect meeting regarding the usage rights of the Sect's supreme treasure had lasted until very late. To celebrate the Perfection of the meeting, Ling Hao had held a small banquet.

At the banquet, Ling Hao was frantically plied with wine. Of course, tit for tat, he had also frantically returned the favor, pllying them with wine in return.

On the carpeted jade steps at Ling Hao's feet, Yu Lingshuang reclined lazily. The collar of her ice-blue gossamer Ruqun was loose and had slipped down, revealing one rounded, snow-white shoulder and a smooth collarbone.

She glanced at the eye-closed Ling Hao and used a plain gauze handkerchief to slowly wipe away the small, dark wine stains on her full, snowy chest. With every wipe, those full, rounded curves trembled, shimmering with an alluring, delicate luster under the morning light filtering into the hall.

A pair of jade feet with delicate arches and toes dyed in bright red balsam suddenly hovered before Yu Lingshuang's eyes, the golden bells on the ankles jingling softly.

“Junior Sister Ling Shuang,”

Yu Linglong's voice rang out with a lazy smile,

“Why don't you help Senior Sister wipe a bit? I was just splashed by some tea.”

“And my ankles... they're still a bit sore.”

Yu Lingshuang's wiping motion paused, and her cold eyes looked up.

At some point, Yu Linglong had sat sideways on Ling Hao's lap and was provocatively stretching those jade feet out in front of her.

Yu Lingshuang stood up expressionlessly and threw the plain gauze handkerchief in her hand forcefully onto Yu Linglong's smooth thigh.

“Wipe it yourself.” Her voice was crisp and devoid of emotion.

Yu Linglong was about to speak and tease back,

“Cough.”

Ling Hao opened his eyes and spoke up at the right moment to interrupt,

“Alright. Linglong should do her own things herself.”

Yu Linglong tilted her head slightly and gave Ling Hao a flirtatious, sidelong glance:

“The Sect Master's words have no persuasive power at all. Last night, you just lay back in this seat and did nothing, waiting for us and the Elders to bring you food and even feed it directly into your mouth.”

“Cough, last night was a special circumstance.”

Ling Hao coughed lightly, suppressing the heat rising within him again due to the scene before him. His gaze swept over the two women, who were disheveled yet each charming in their own way, and he said seriously,

“Continuing from what was unfinished last night, let's talk business. Although the Southeast Main Rift is sealed, the True Demon Realm will never let it go. I expect that old fellow Yan Yan Demon Ancestor will definitely seek frantic revenge, and it's highly likely he will make a comeback through the Western or Northwest Main Rifts.”

His mind raced as he analyzed the situation.

“What is the progress on the installation of the resonance dao towers and world-suppressing monuments in the western borders of Cangwu Prefecture?”

In front of Ling Hao, Yu Lingshuang unhesitatingly took out a set of brand-new moon-white robes from her storage ring. She turned around and slowly untied the ribbons of her Ruqun. Her smooth back, slender waist, and breathtaking hip curves flashed momentarily in the morning light before being covered by the moon-white dress.

While adjusting her collar, she answered coldly:

“The main nodes in the western borders have been installed, and the circuits are clear. They can cover the areas of the two main rifts, ensuring the stability of the instant teleportation channels.”

“Very good.”

Ling Hao nodded, his tone turning serious,

“Issue orders immediately to mobilize the Moonshadow Sect's main fleet. Divide them into four groups, each with three tianque divine boats. Two groups will head to the Western Main Rift, and two will be stationed at the periphery of the Northwest Main Rift. The primary task is monitoring and early warning. If you encounter an irresistible enemy...” His tone grew sharp,

“Immediately retreat through the resonance dao tower teleportation. Preserving our strength is the priority; do not get bogged down in fighting!”

“The Sect Master truly has such a grand presence,”

Yu Linglong said with a charming laugh as she slowly wiped the water droplets from her toes with the plain gauze. “No wonder those Elders and Disciples in the Sect all love to flock to your side so much.”

As she spoke, one of her curled jade feet lightly rubbed against the side of Ling Hao's leg. Ling Hao irritably reached out to pull away her mischievous foot and gave her a glare.

“I'm giving you the other two groups of divine boats. You will be responsible for patrolling the eastern part of Cangwu Prefecture. If anything happens, contact me immediately. Crush the teleportation heavenly talisman, and I will arrive at once.”

This was his backup plan. Although the probability of another spatial main rift opening was small, one must always leave a way out and prepare for a rainy day.

Yu Linglong curled her lip but didn't pester him further.

Ling Hao pondered for a moment and added:

“In addition, in the name of the Moonshadow Sect, send official notices to the Wutong Divine Dynasty and Wan Shou Mountain, informing them that the Southeast Main Rift has been sealed and our next move. This is to prevent them from being caught off guard and to avoid them saying we didn't give them a heads-up.”

...

Several days later, Wutong Divine Dynasty, Qifeng Hall.

Incense curled in the hall, but the atmosphere was somewhat stagnant.

Su Fengyi sat high upon the red-gold Phoenix-patterned throne, wearing a crimson Phoenix palace dress. Her Phoenix eyes held authority as she gently placed a communication Jade Slip on the desk.

Below, Ye Xinglan sat in a chair, her petite body almost sinking into the wide seat. She was wearing her signature deep-purple star-patterned daoist robe.

A pair of short legs wrapped in pure white silk stockings dangled slightly, an inch or so off the ground, her toes unconsciously twitching. Her fingers were mindlessly tugging at the corner of her robe, pulling at the star-patterned fabric as if she wanted to use the wide hem of the daoist robe to cover that alluring touch of pure white. Her porcelain doll-like face struggled to maintain an air of indifference.

“Fengyi,”

Ye Xinglan composed herself and looked up at Su Fengyi,

“What is the urgent matter that required you to call me here so hurriedly?”
