397: Chapter 397 Let you play

On the square outside the hall, Zhang Chengyue stood at the very front, waving his arms and shouting loudly.

Dozens of Disciples stood behind him, every one of them flushed with excitement, shouting until they were hoarse.

Most of these were people from the old Wan Shou Mountain, as well as young Disciples incited by the Ji Family.

On the higher steps, several True Disciples of the Ji Family stood with their hands behind their backs, watching it all with cold eyes.

One of them laughed loudly, "I heard that after Supreme Moonshadow established the world-suppressing monument in Cangwu, he indiscriminately wiped out many Sects. That was truly decisive and ruthless!"

Another person chimed in, speaking sarcastically, "Yes, yes, yes. I heard he didn't even spare the women and children. He really is 'cruel and heartless'!"

There was a burst of laughter all around.

A Disciple muttered in a low voice, "But I heard that those Sects which were wiped out had all been infiltrated by the Niding Alliance..."

"So what?"

The Ji Faction Disciple sneered, "One can just kill the ringleaders; wiping out an entire Sect is simply wrong! Who knows if they will pull the same stunt when they come to Baiyan Prefecture?"

Inside the hall, the Elders of the Ji Faction looked smug, exchanging glances with each other.

Shi Qingxuan's expression sank slightly. She subconsciously looked toward Ling Hao—

Ling Hao happened to raise his eyes, meeting her gaze, smiled slightly, and shook his head gently.

Shi Qingxuan felt a weight lift from her heart, and she inexplicably felt at ease.

This Supreme Moonshadow... he really is a magnanimous person. Her favorable impression of Ling Hao in her heart increased a little more.

Chi Wanhe stood behind Ling Hao, listening to the commotion outside the hall, and the smile on her lips gradually turned cold.

She sent a voice transmission to Qin Zhaoxue: "Those people outside—later I will have the Moonshadow Sect Disciples find them for a spar and deal with them one by one. I'll tear their mouths apart."

Qin Zhaoxue shook her head slightly and replied via voice transmission: "No rush. Today, let them first see what strength truly is."

"Hmph!"

Chi Wanhe's gaze swept over the Elders of the Ji Faction opposite them.

"Since they want a beating—"

Chi Wanhe stepped out from behind Ling Hao, her pink dress fluttering, smiling brightly, "Then let's grant their wish!"

Her figure flashed, and she arrived at the square outside the hall.

The sunlight poured down, dancing and flowing over her pink dress, making her appear even more beautiful and moving. She stood with her hands behind her back, her gaze sweeping over the crowd of the Ji Faction, her voice clear and crisp: "Who among you is coming?"

Elder Wan could no longer restrain himself and stepped out with a large stride. His figure was burly, dressed in dark brown martial attire, with his sleeves rolled up to his forearms, revealing knotted muscles. With every step he took, the ground trembled slightly.

"Little girl, don't blame this old man for bullying the young!" He sneered, pressed his palms together, and thrust them out violently—

"Mountain Suppression!"

Rumble—

Earth-yellow light soared into the sky, and a towering phantom of a mountain condensed out of thin air, over a hundred zhang high, pressing down toward Chi Wanhe with the force of destroying heaven and earth! Wherever the phantom passed, the air distorted and the ground cracked. The intensity of its power caused the surrounding Disciples watching the battle to exclaim and retreat in succession.

"So strong!"

"Elder Wan is using his real power now!"

"That little girl is going to be pressed into meat paste, I'm afraid!"

Chi Wanhe stood with her hands behind her back, a faint smile on her lips.

Until the mountain phantom pressed down to three zhang above her head, she lifted her slender hand lightly, and the Aura of the fourth level of Void Tempering burst forth—

"Go."

Three Talismans formed instantly.

The first, the Dao of Metal, transformed into a golden Dragon. The dragon's roar shook the sky, and with a flick of its tail, it actually shattered the mountain phantom into pieces!

The second, the Dao of Fire, transformed into a flaming Phoenix. The Phoenix cried out to the heavens, its wings spread wide, raining down fire across the sky. Each drop of fire rain contained the power to incinerate all things, forcing Elder Wan to retreat repeatedly!

The third, the Dao of Thunder, transformed into a purple lightning net, descending from the sky and instantly enveloping Elder Wan within it!

Lightning flashed, and thunder roared. On that lightning net, countless tiny lightning snakes slithered, each arc containing the power of destruction.

Elder Wan struggled left and right, in a sorry state. He channeled his spiritual energy, attempting to tear open the lightning net, but the net was like a maggot on a tarsal bone; the more he struggled, the tighter it wrapped around him. Amidst the sizzling sounds, his hair stood on end, his face was charred black, his protective spiritual energy was torn apart by the lightning net, and his whole body was convulsing from the electricity, until finally—

"Pfft!"

Elder Wan spat out a mouthful of blood, falling heavily to the ground, his whole body charred, his Aura withered. Where was there any sign of an Elder's dignity left?

Chi Wanhe retracted the three Talismans, tilted her head, and looked smilingly at the twitching Elder Wan on the ground:

"Oh my, Elder, I haven't even used any real strength, how did you end up lying down? Isn't this a bit too weak? I didn't even use a Magic Treasure, and you couldn't even withstand a slight strike. I thought you would be able to last at least two more breaths."

Elder Wan lay on the ground, his whole body trembling, unsure if it was from anger or injury. He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but only spat out a puff of black smoke.

The entire scene was deathly silent.

The Holy Land Disciples were dumbfounded—both being at the Void Tempering stage, Elder Wan, at the sixth level of Void Tempering, was defeated and severely injured in one move?

"This... how is this possible?!"

"She is clearly only at the fourth level of Void Tempering!"

"Elder Wan is at the sixth level of Void Tempering! That's a two-level difference!"

Outside the hall, Zhang Chengyue and the others looked at each other, and their shouts of support instantly weakened. The True Disciples on the high platform had ashen faces, each clutching their fists tightly.

Inside the hall, the smug expressions on the faces of the Ji Faction Elders froze. Ji Xuanming's brows furrowed imperceptibly.

Elder Zhou stood up abruptly, his face ashen: "Talisman tricks, not worth mentioning! I will come!"

He strode out, and when he passed by Ji Mitai, Ji Mitai whispered: "Elder Zhou, be careful."

Elder Zhou snorted coldly: "Rest assured! This old man is at the eighth level of Void Tempering; I am not trash like Wan Changqing!"

Ji Mitai watched his retreating back, a flash of crimson passing through the depths of his eyes, then he lowered his gaze, concealing all emotion.

Chi Wanhe was about to fight again, but Qin Zhaoxue stepped forward and pressed her hand on her shoulder: "Senior Sister, it's my turn."

Chi Wanhe pouted: "Fine, I'll let you play."

Her smoky green gauze dress shimmered with a soft luster in the sunlight. Qin Zhaoxue walked calmly and arrived in the high air, a faint, almost imperceptible smile on her lips:

"Elder Zhou, please enlighten me. Don't be like the one just now, falling over at the slightest touch."

Elder Zhou's beard and hair stood on end, his face was flushed red, and his Aura surged violently. He flipped his hand and took out a crimson longsword, the blade wreathed in flames, with a fire-red crystal embedded in the hilt, emitting a blazing pressure.

This was clearly a Low Grade Dao Artifact!

"Little girl, you are arrogant!"

He swung his longsword, and a crimson sword beam tore through the sky. The sword beam contained the terrifying Dao of Fire, and wherever it passed, the air was ignited, turning into a sea of fire!

Qin Zhaoxue's expression remained unchanged, and she formed hand seals.

A massive phantom of a pill cauldron appeared out of thin air, covering the entire area. The cauldron was ancient and simple, engraved with mysterious runes, and shimmered with a gentle luster.

The mouth of the cauldron spewed forth rich pill energy, transforming into countless phantoms of Spirit Medicine—thousand-year ginseng, ten-thousand-year lingzhi, vermilion fruit, yellow polygonatum... each one contained pure medicinal power, blooming with various colors of light.

The crimson sword beam slashed into the pill energy, but it was like a clay ox entering the sea, disappearing without a trace.

"Interesting!"

Elder Zhou's expression changed. He put away the crimson longsword and flipped his hand to take out another Magic Treasure.
