105: The Best Actor of Skin Thirst (End)

After Shen Ji and Wen Ci left.

Lin Wan was also tired from crying. She wanted to continue looking for Wen Ci. She ran in the rain, her high heels long since lost. Cold rainwater streamed down her cheeks, mixing with her hot tears. Her vision was blurred by the rain, but she still stubbornly gazed in the direction Shen Ji and his group had left.

"Shen Ji… how could you do this to me…?" Her voice broke in the wind, unanswered.

She was unwilling.

She clenched her fists, her nails digging deep into her palms, but she felt no pain.

At this moment, she had only one thought: find Shen Ji, and let him know that she truly regretted it now. It must have been because she hadn't explained herself clearly. As long as she explained herself clearly…

"Wan Wan!"

A familiar voice came from behind her. Lin Wan suddenly stopped, turning to look.

Zhou Zhuo stood in the rain, his hair plastered to his forehead, his face a mix of dishevelment and eagerness to please.

"Get lost!" she said coldly, turning to leave.

Zhou Zhuo quickly stepped forward, grabbing her wrist: "Wan Wan, I was wrong! Those things I said were just drunken nonsense. How could I truly think that about you?"

Lin Wan scoffed, forcefully shaking off his hand: "Is that so? Then give me back all the money I gave you before!"

Zhou Zhuo's face stiffened, but he quickly gritted his teeth and pulled out his phone: "Okay, I'll return it!"

A few seconds later, Lin Wan's phone vibrated, a bank notification showing a transfer received. Not only was the previous money repaid, but an additional twenty thousand was also given.

She stared at the screen, a sarcastic twist to her lips: "What, trying to act generous now?"

Zhou Zhuo forced a smile: "Wan Wan, I truly know I was wrong. Can we start over? I really know I was wrong. I've met so many women, and I've realized you're the best. We should…"

Lin Wan couldn't be bothered to waste any more words on him and turned to leave.

However, Zhou Zhuo relentlessly chased after her, grabbing her arm: "Don't go! Listen to me…"

"Let go!" Lin Wan struggled fiercely.

As they pulled and tugged, they unknowingly retreated into the middle of the road.

"Beep—!!"

A harsh horn blared suddenly, and dazzling headlights shone upon them.

Lin Wan's pupils constricted. Before she could react, an out-of-control large truck roared towards them—

"Bang—!!"

The world fell silent in that instant.

The next day's news contained only an inconspicuous report:

"Last night during a heavy rain, a man and a woman crossing the road were hit by a car and died on the spot."

It quickly faded away amidst various other news, no longer noticed by anyone.

Meanwhile, on a distant private island, the sun shone brightly, and the sea breeze was gentle.

Shen Ji stood under a flower-decorated archway, dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit that made him appear even more tall and handsome. His gaze was fixed on the end of the red carpet, waiting for his beloved wife.

Wen Ci, wearing a wedding dress custom-made by a top designer, slowly approached.

Sunlight filtered through the sheer fabric, casting a soft halo around her, breathtakingly beautiful.

"Ci Ci," he murmured softly, reaching out to take her hand, "I've finally waited for this day. This is our wedding."

Wen Ci's eyes curved into a smile, her fingertips lightly tracing his palm: "Mr. Shen, please guide me well from now on."

Amidst the blessings of their family and friends, they exchanged rings, embraced, and kissed.

Their happiness was just beginning.
