98: Skin Thirst Actor 8

Wen Ci moved into Shen Ji's private villa.

His private villa was nestled on a hillside, the entire building bathed in a golden-red glow by the setting sun.

As the black carved gate slowly opened, Wen Ci was surprised to find the front yard covered in fresh white roses, their petals trembling gently in the evening breeze, like a soft sea of snow.

"This is..." She had just opened her mouth when Shen Ji swept her into his arms.

His strong arms tensed, holding her firmly in his embrace.

"Don't move." Shen Ji's voice was deep, almost hoarse. "From today on, every step you take should be taken by me."

Wen Ci's ear tips flushed, and her fingers unconsciously clutched the front of his shirt. "Is Shen Da Ying Di really that domineering?"

Shen Ji didn't answer, only tightened his arms and carried her over the petal-strewn steps.

Wen Ci noticed his jawline was extremely tight, and his Adam's apple occasionally bobbed, as if he was trying hard to suppress some emotion.

The interior of the villa was warmer than she expected.

Crystal chandeliers cast a soft, warm light, and a faint scent of cedar floated in the air.

Wen Ci curiously looked around, but froze when she saw a huge oil painting on the wall; it depicted her from two days ago when she went to find him.

The girl in a light purple dress had a bright and dazzling smile, waving at him.

"When did you..."

"Every day." Shen Ji carried her up the spiral staircase, his footsteps echoing in the empty villa. "Whenever I couldn't see you, I would paint you."

Wen Ci couldn't help but chuckle, but hadn't they been together constantly recently?

Could it be that he would secretly get up and paint her after she fell asleep?

The moment the master bedroom door opened, Wen Ci's breath hitched.

Outside the full-length window was a burning sunset, and on the handmade embroidered bedspread were dozens of perfectly cut diamonds, reflecting a rainbow of colors in the twilight.

Shen Ji carefully placed her on the edge of the bed, then suddenly knelt on one knee, his forehead resting on her lap.

Wen Ci felt his hot breath burning her skin through the thin dress fabric, and the man's broad shoulders were trembling slightly.

"Shen Ji?" She gently stroked the back of his neck, feeling a cold dampness.

"Ci Ci, let me finish what I'm about to say." He suddenly looked up, his eyes swirling with an undercurrent Wen Ci had never seen before. "I've been waiting for you, and now, you've finally appeared."

Shen Ji's fingertips traced the tear mole under her eye, his movement as light as touching fragile foam. "For all these years, there's been an empty space in my chest, until I met you."

Wen Ci was scorched by the almost painful intensity in his eyes, and her fingers unconsciously intertwined with his.

Shen Ji suddenly pressed her hand to his cheek, like a dying person grasping a piece of driftwood. "You are the cure... my only cure... don't leave me."

His voice faded into a trembling breath.

Only then did Wen Ci realize that the rumored cold and ruthless Director Shen now had red-rimmed eyes, with tiny beads of water clinging to his thick eyelashes.

He was scared, he was nervous.

Even though she was within reach, he still felt anxious about gaining and losing her.

"I won't leave you." Wen Ci cupped his face, her thumb wiping away the dampness. "Never."

Shen Ji's pupils constricted, and he suddenly pushed her down into the pile of diamonds.

The hard gems dug into her back, but Wen Ci had no time to care; Shen Ji was raining hot kisses on her neck, his canines occasionally grazing her delicate blood vessels, as if to confirm her existence with pain.

"Marry me." He bit her collarbone, speaking indistinctly, his right hand already pulling out the velvet box he had prepared. "Right now."

A diamond necklace dangled from the box, its main stone a rare blood diamond, like a drop of congealed blood in the twilight.

Shen Ji didn't wait for her response before fastening the clasp, the cold gem immediately pressing against Wen Ci's skin.

"Shen Da Ying Di suddenly getting married?" Wen Ci smiled playfully, trying to lighten the overly heavy atmosphere, her fingertips toying with the priceless red diamond. "Tomorrow's headlines are probably going to explode..."

"I don't care." Shen Ji interrupted roughly, his fingers tangling in her hair, forcing her to look up. "I only want you."

His nose brushed hers, his voice fragmented between their intertwined breaths. "We'll register tomorrow. I want the law to recognize you as my wife, I want the whole world to know you are Mrs. Shen..."

Wen Ci suddenly chuckled, and with Shen Ji's obsessive expression, she reached up and untied his tie. "So eager, Mr. Shen?"

She slowly wrapped the tie around her wrist. "Then shouldn't Mr. Shen first preview... married life?"

Shen Ji's breathing became noticeably heavier.

She agreed.

This was her way of agreeing!

He ripped open his shirt, buttons silently scattering on the carpet.

"Ci Ci," Shen Ji murmured, biting her earlobe, his fingers already exploring beneath her skirt. "From now on, anything you desire,"

The sound of tearing fabric was particularly harsh in the quiet bedroom, "I will give it, no matter the cost."

The next morning, Wen Ci woke up with a sore body, finding a large diamond ring on her hand.

Shen Ji was standing by the full-length window, talking on the phone, his voice cold with a hint of tension. "...Ten AM, the Civil Affairs Bureau will be cleared. I don't want any unauthorized personnel."

Noticing her gaze, Shen Ji turned and walked over, his shadow completely enveloping her in the morning light.

Wen Ci noticed the obvious dark circles under his eyes, clearly indicating a sleepless night.

"Awake?" Shen Ji knelt on the mattress, pinching her chin to examine the kiss marks he'd left last night, and narrowed his eyes in satisfaction. "We leave at nine."

He suddenly buried his face in her shoulder hollow, taking a deep breath. "You can't go back on your word, my fiancée..."

Wen Ci felt a gentle bite on the side of her neck.

"Is Director Shen threatening his fiancée?" Wen Ci deliberately rubbed his calf with her toe.

Shen Ji suddenly gripped her ankle, a storm brewing in his eyes. "I wouldn't dare, but..."

He ripped off the tie he had just fastened. "You still have two hours to consider... but even if you refuse—"

Wen Ci suddenly tilted her head back and kissed him.

Shen Ji froze instantly, then took control, pressing her back into the pillows until the butler gently reminded them from outside the door that the car was ready.

"Have you thought about it? Do you want to back out?" Shen Ji's thumb caressed her swollen lips, his voice dangerously low.

Wen Ci wiggled her left hand, adorned with the diamond ring, sunlight scattering tiny specks of light on the diamond. "Didn't you say you wanted the whole world to know I'm Mrs. Shen?"

Shen Ji's eyes deepened, and he suddenly picked her up, blanket and all, and walked towards the walk-in closet.

As the closet door slid open, Wen Ci gasped, a whole wall of glass cabinets filled with haute couture gowns, each hangtag handwritten with a date.

"These..."

"They're all your size." Shen Ji wrapped his arms around her from behind, his canines gently grinding her ear cartilage. "Every month from now on, countless new styles will fill your wardrobe. You can use my black card as much as you want, and all properties are under your name."

"Wow, Mr. Shen spoils his wife so much?"

"I spoil you."

Wen Ci smiled very happily.

When they arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau.

The entrance to the Civil Affairs Bureau was indeed empty.

Shen Ji held Wen Ci's hand tightly the entire time, the tip of his pen even tearing the paper when he signed.

The moment the official seal was stamped, he suddenly pressed Wen Ci against the oath-taking stand and kissed her deeply.

Just then, a flash of camera lights went off, and Wen Ci caught a glimpse of paparazzi squatting at the door being restrained by bodyguards.

It seemed that a secret marriage was impossible now.

"Don't get distracted, Ci Ci, now," Shen Ji licked off the smudged lipstick from her lips, stuffing both marriage certificates into his suit's inner pocket, "the whole world will know,"

"You belong to me."
