103: Jitou Village

In the eyes of the Aristocratic Families, ordinary people are nothing more than pigs waiting to be slaughtered and consumed at their leisure.

When they want to eat, they can just grab one at random.

Little did they know that in Chen Heng's eyes, these Aristocratic Families were also plump pigs...

Sixty li outside Qiyang City, at the foot of Jitou Mountain.

Qi Longhu tied up his horse and walked into the small village before him.

This small village was named Jitou Village, naturally, as it was at the foot of Jitou Mountain.

"Is the Village Chief in?"

Qi Longhu, with Qi sinking into his Dantian, stood at the village entrance and shouted without ceremony.

Soon, lights lit up throughout Jitou Village, and a middle-aged man walked out from within.

"May I ask who Your Excellency is?"

The middle-aged man walked up to Qi Longhu somewhat timidly, cupped his fists, and asked.

"I am Qi Longhu, White Tiger Hall Master of the Five Spirits Gang."

Qi Longhu certainly wouldn't bully these honest people; he just wanted to find an empty room here to stay for the night.

He was currently alone with one horse, and camping outdoors was too dangerous.

Demons and ghosts were one thing, but if he encountered an Anomaly, he would most likely be finished.

"It is Hall Master Qi himself!"

The honest man, of course, knew the White Tiger Hall; their village was usually protected by the White Tiger Hall.

Otherwise, how could the bandits on Jitou Mountain have left them alone?

"Hall Master Qi, please come in quickly; we happen to have a guest room in our house."

To that honest man, someone of Qi Longhu's status was already incredibly important.

To have him stay at his house would bring him great Face.

"Thank you, Village Chief."

Although Qi Longhu was unceremonious, he still observed basic etiquette.

Led by the honest man, Qi Longhu moved into the not-so-large guest room.

Touching the somewhat thin quilt, Qi Longhu called the honest man over.

"Hall Master Qi, please command," the honest man said, appearing very humble, bowing and asking cautiously.

"Do you only use this kind of quilt in your home?"

Qi Longhu picked up the thin quilt, frowning.

"Logically, it shouldn't be like this; the White Tiger Hall only collects half a percent of your annual grain production. How can you still be so poor?"

"This..." The honest man was somewhat speechless, unsure how to answer the question.

He couldn't possibly say that his village had to pay three portions of money, could he?

One portion to the White Tiger Hall, one portion to the government.

And another portion was an offering to the Earth God.

"Never mind, if you don't want to say, I won't force you."

Seeing the honest man stammering and refusing to speak, Qi Longhu lost interest in asking further.

Their White Tiger Hall was only responsible for the village's safety.

As for whether they lived well or were prosperous, that was not their concern.

"Alright, go, I need to rest."

After sending the honest man out, Qi Longhu blew out the oil lamp, closed his eyes, and prepared to sleep.

On a high ground not far from Jitou Mountain.

A tall, thin man with a pockmarked Face and completely white eyes was looking at Jitou Village.

"Junior Brother, the people in Jitou Village are enough for this Soul Refining."

The gourd in the man's hand made a sound.

"I know, otherwise, why would I be here?"

"Good that you know, our progress must speed up. Revered Master is about to become a drought demon (ba) and needs a large amount of vital blood and human souls."

"I won't tell Revered Master that you devoured an entire village by yourself. Get to it quickly."

"This is just a small matter; there's still Qiyang City waiting for us over there."

"I know, you're getting a bit annoying." The man impatiently tucked the gourd into his waist.

"Rise."

The man patted the three coffins next to him, and the coffin lids immediately opened.

Two Hairy Zombies and one Flying Zombie jumped out from inside.

"Go, refine all the people in that village into vital blood and bring them back to me."

With that, the Flying Zombie immediately rushed towards Jitou Village.

The two Hairy Zombies also refused to be outdone, shaking their white fur and crawling out on all fours.

The man sat on the ground, chanting strange incantations.

At Chen Heng's current speed, it took him less than a minute to reach Goulan Street.

The situation on Goulan Street today was indeed unusual, becoming exceptionally deserted.

Under normal circumstances, the street should be full of bachelors right now.

"Liufeng Tower..."

Chen Heng looked towards a brothel located in the middle of Goulan Street and strode over.

"Mortal Martial Artist, who gave you the courage to disturb my good deed, old man?"

Cui Yunyu gripped Sang Xilin's neck with one hand, lifting him off the ground.

"I'll f*** your mom..."

Sang Xilin's bones were mostly shattered, but his mouth was still intact.

Just moments ago, as he entered, he saw the corpses hanging from the rafters.

Not only that, but on the first floor, two long rows of mummified corpses were neatly arranged—all Prostitutes whose Yin Qi had been sucked dry.

Sang Xilin was furious; such a thing had happened right under his nose, and he hadn't discovered it.

Ignoring Madam Phoenix's warnings, he kicked open the door to the Aristocratic Clan's room.

Unfortunately, Sang Xilin couldn't even withstand one move from Cui Yunyu and ended up in his current state.

One must know that Sang Xilin was, at the very least, an Internal Force Martial Artist, considered quite strong in Qiyang City.

Yet, Cui Yunyu merely struck him with one palm, and all his bones instantly shattered.

He didn't even have time to feel the pain before he collapsed to the ground like a pile of mud.

"The kid's mouth is quite stubborn."

Cui Yunyu chuckled. He had just drained a Prostitute's Yin Qi, so he was in a relatively good mood.

"You must be from the local Gang, right?"

"Go, call all the Prostitutes on this street for me, or this entire street won't need to exist anymore."

With that, Cui Yunyu threw the mud-like Sang Xilin to the ground.

The surrounding blade-wielders, though scared to death, still did not retreat.

A slightly younger blade-wielder stiffened his neck, staring intently at Cui Yunyu.

"You guys, are you tired of living?"

Cui Yunyu narrowed his eyes; his good mood from just having absorbed Yin Qi vanished without a trace.

"Yunyu, why waste words with them? They are just mere human sacrifices."

"Just kill them."

Cui Yunwu's voice came from inside the room, utterly cold.

"Indeed, why am I wasting words with you Mortal ants."

Cui Yunyu gave a self-deprecating smile.

He must have gotten a little high from the absorption, to have talked to these livestock for so long.

"Alright, alright, now go die."

Cui Yunyu raised his foot and walked towards the blade-wielders.

The blade-wielders desperately wanted to fight back, but for some reason, their bodies simply couldn't move.

They could only watch helplessly as Cui Yunyu approached them.

"Your neck is quite stiff, huh? Then this young Revered Master will make it soft!"

Cui Yunyu formed his hand into a blade and chopped it towards the young blade-wielder's neck.

The young blade-wielder gritted his teeth, staring intently at Cui Yunyu.

"You kid, you're good. Your bones are hard enough."

Suddenly, Cui Yunyu's palm stopped.

A large hand was gripping Cui Yunyu's wrist tightly, emitting the crunching sound of bones breaking.
