6: Lust is a double-edged sword.

Cool Daoist, who was hiding in the Chen Family Courtyard and controlling the Purple Zombie, suddenly felt a dull ache in his chest, and a stinging sensation spread across his skin.

“The Purple Zombie is injured?”

“Could there be a master helping the Chen family?”

Cool Daoist frowned; he couldn't yet know who had injured the Purple Zombie.

Because the Purple Zombie had no sight, it relied entirely on sensing Qi for combat.

The Qi that had just injured the Purple Zombie didn't match anyone in the Chen family… “I don’t care who you are, how dare you ruin my plans!”

“Today, I will skin you alive and tear your bones apart!”

On the street, Chen Fugui stared dumbfounded at Chen Heng, who was blocking his path.

When did his son become so powerful?

He could even punch a zombie flying?

One had to know that a Purple Zombie was invulnerable to blades and spears and possessed immense strength.

An ordinary person would never be its match.

“Don’t run around, hide in the carriage and don’t come out,” Chen Heng said without looking back, glancing at a few collapsed tiled houses in the distance.

“Don’t move until I tell you to come out.”

Chen Fugui opened his mouth, then turned and pulled Xiao He into the carriage.

“I need to find an opportunity to learn some martial arts…”

Chen Heng didn’t know how to fight at all; at most, he had only had conflicts with classmates during his school days.

That punch just now had sent the Purple Zombie flying purely through brute force.

“Roar!”

A furious roar came, and the Purple Zombie leaped out of the rubble.

Its murky eyes stared fixedly at Chen Heng, and sticky green drool dripped from its mouth.

The Purple Zombie’s movement speed had clearly slowed down a bit.

Even if it was a zombie, it couldn’t withstand a large hole in its chest.

Chen Heng’s punch just now had been quite powerful; all sixteen of the Purple Zombie’s ribs were broken.

“Come on…” Chen Heng was sweating a little, his fists clenched tightly.

The Purple Zombie’s fingernails slowly lengthened, transforming into ten bony blades.

With a whoosh, the Purple Zombie charged at Chen Heng.

Chen Heng’s pupils contracted, and he raised his arm to block.

With a muffled thud, the Purple Zombie’s nails stopped after tearing through Chen Heng’s sleeve.

“Indeed!” Chen Heng rejoiced in his heart; as long as the Indestructible Vajra Divine Art was initiated, his skin could become invulnerable to blades and spears!

Chen Heng seized the opportunity to grab the Purple Zombie’s arm and swung a full-force punch at the Purple Zombie’s face.

This punch was extremely powerful; the Purple Zombie’s entire face was somewhat disfigured.

Half of its sharp fangs and teeth fell out.

“Roar!” But this level of damage was not fatal to the Purple Zombie.

It forcefully twisted its body, completely disregarding the arm that Chen Heng had restrained.

With a crunch, the Purple Zombie’s body twisted at a strange angle, and its sharp claws reached for Chen Heng’s throat.

“Hmph!” Chen Heng tensed his muscles, and a thin layer of inky black flame appeared on his knuckles.

A stinging sensation came from his throat as the Purple Zombie’s sharp claws pierced Chen Heng’s throat.

At the same time, Chen Heng’s fist, imbued with inky black flames, struck the Purple Zombie’s head.

The Purple Zombie’s head was directly corroded with a large hole by the black flames, and after trembling twice, it stopped moving.

Chen Heng released the Purple Zombie’s arm and touched his own neck.

Fortunately, it was just a superficial scratch.

Just as Chen Heng let out a sigh of relief, footsteps came from all directions.

Five Purple Zombies leaped out from various alleys, their murky eyes fixed on Chen Heng’s family.

Cold sweat broke out on Chen Heng.

Although the Purple Zombies couldn’t break through his Indestructible Vajra Divine Art, he couldn’t deal with five Purple Zombies simultaneously.

To put it bluntly, he would be exhausted to death.

But strangely, these five Purple Zombies did not attack him, merely blocking the front of the convoy.

“What does this mean?” Chen Heng frowned, not relaxing his guard in the slightest.

“I understand…” Chen Fugui got down from the carriage and cupped his hands towards the five Purple Zombies.

“I will obediently return and not leave the city.”

After speaking, Chen Fugui pulled Chen Heng into the carriage, and he personally drove the carriage towards the Chen Family Courtyard.

Chen Heng looked back; those Purple Zombies indeed did not pursue them.

Instead, they followed behind Chen Heng, pulling more than twenty carriages.

“Father, what’s going on?” Chen Heng asked, a little confused, as he sat beside Chen Fugui.

“I know what’s going on,” Chen Fugui said, gritting his teeth, filled with reluctance.

“Our family is being targeted not just for our property, but for our lives.”

“They want me to personally hand over the family property to them!”

“Son, I will find a way to get you out, don’t worry.”

Chen Fugui looked at Chen Heng, his tone firm.

“Once you leave the city, go to Qiyang City and find a woman named Jing Fan; just tell her you are my son, she is…”

Chen Fugui thought for a moment but did not finish his sentence.

“Never mind, you’ll know when you find her.”

Chen Heng said nothing, merely returning silently to the carriage compartment.

“I need to find a way…”

Half an hour later, an exhausted Chen Fugui drove the carriage to a stop at the entrance of the Chen Family Courtyard.

After handing all the banknotes he could carry to Chen Heng, Chen Fugui pushed open the door and walked into the courtyard.

“Oh, you’re back?” Cool Daoist sat on a stone stool in the center of the courtyard, lifting his eyelids to glance at them.

“Cool Daoist, I wonder when our Chen family offended you, that you would want to exterminate us?”

Patriarch Chen cupped his hands, showing no fear on his face.

“You didn’t offend me,” Cool Daoist grinned, revealing a mouth full of rotten teeth.

“Your Chen family is just an unexpected gain for me.”

“Stay put, and you can still enjoy a few more good days.”

“Xu Qingyan, come and play with this old Daoist.” Cool Daoist beckoned to the carriage behind him.

“Daoist Master, you scared this servant to death~” The alluring Xu Qingyan stepped down from the carriage, her soft, boneless body falling directly into Cool Daoist’s arms.

“Tsk tsk tsk, you’re quite a useless Patriarch.”

“You don’t even know there’s a traitor in your own home.”

“Xu Qingyan, it was you!” Chen Fugui’s fingers trembled; he never expected that the woman who called him ‘Master’ every day would do such a thing.

“Oh, Daoist Master, why bother with him, this servant is a little tired.” Xu Qingyan glanced at the Chen father and son, then turned and clung to Cool Daoist.

“Patriarch Chen, let me give you a piece of advice.”

“If you stay put in Fulai County, you can still live a few good days.”

“If you dare to try and escape, don’t blame this old Daoist’s zombies for being merciless.”

With that, Cool Daoist left the main courtyard, embracing the giggling Xu Qingyan.

“Father, are you alright?” Chen Heng walked to Chen Fugui’s side, looking at his father’s flushed face.

“It’s all my fault…” Chen Fugui sighed, his eyes filled with regret and apology.

“Son, if it weren’t for your father being momentarily blinded by lust, our Chen family wouldn’t have come to this end today.”

“From today on, you can use all the medicinal herbs and gold and silver in the house as you please.”

“I am not worthy of being this Patriarch.”

“Father will find a way to send you out.”

Chen Fugui walked into the main room, his expression dazed.
