Meanwhile, Adam was locked in a desperate battle, a king fighting for a kingdom that was already burning to the ground behind him. He was stopped midway on his return journey by an entity radiating a power that was growing with every passing second. It was Deimos.

They had done their part. The demon gods, however, were not so lucky. Only a handful managed to escape before Adam’s fists found them.

The tide of the battle turned in an instant. The remaining Gods, seeing their king, rallied behind him, cutting down the lesser demons. But it was a hollow victory.

Adam looked at the few million Gods who remained from the original billions, and he knew the war was lost. His main body was still locked in a desperate struggle with a rapidly strengthening Deimos. His other soul was about to be beaten to a pulp by that monster.

A mental message, a chorus from a million loyal souls, answered him. "To give you time to run away, my king. You are our only hope. Even if we run, they will find us. But if you escape, with your talents, you can one day take revenge."

Another voice joined the chorus. "For us, my king. For the revenge. For all this humiliation. Live, and remember us."
