He removed the system panel that hid his mask.

"The only thing common among you," Sunny continued, "is that you were the best. You were professionals. You were pioneers. You gave everything you had to your world. And because of that... you have earned a second chance."

"These are the worlds under my protection," Sunny said. He zoomed in on a random planet, showing lush forests, strange beasts, and primitive civilizations building their first cities.

"Your souls will be sent to one of these worlds. You will be reborn. You will use your talents, your knowledge, and your unique perspectives to help these worlds grow. To lead them. To heal them. To defend them."

"So... you are really... God?" a soul asked from the back. He was a scientist, a staunch atheist who had spent his life dismantling superstition.

But now, staring at the holographic universe and the being who commanded it, his worldview lay in shatters.

"The God?" Sunny chuckled, the sound echoing with amusement. "No. I am not the only God."

He gestured to the walls of the palace, beyond which lay the City of Gods. "There are six billion more Gods living in this city."
