115: Sloppy guy

“Ugh!”

The Boar Demon felt dizzy and disoriented from the roar, covering his head and instantly losing his balance. After stumbling a few steps, he fell to the ground.

Even the lesser demons following behind the Boar Demon were affected, each covering their ears with pained expressions.

After the Demon Qi Roar, Wei Xun was very satisfied with his Cultivation Technique.

He had roared at Xiong Er before, but it hadn't had this effect then.

It seems this Cultivation Technique's power also increased with the improvement of his Realm.

The birdman Jiji, seeing this from behind Wei Xun, was also surprised, instantly revealing an expression of admiration.

“How about it? Still want to come?”

Wei Xun stood calmly in place, beckoning with a finger towards the Nine-Tusk Mountain demons blocking his way.

It was an expression that said, 'Come on over.'

After being roared at, that group of demons also realized Wei Xun's true cultivation.

“A Pure Yang Realm demon!”

“This is troublesome!”

“What do we do?”

After those lesser demons recovered, they began to whisper among themselves.

At this moment, the Boar Demon had just gotten up from the ground. After being hit head-on by the Demonic Qi, the Boar Demon hadn't yet recovered his senses and hadn't given his subordinate demons a signal to retreat.

Now, those lesser demons couldn't run, couldn't fight, and could only stand dumbfounded in place.

“Run!”

Finally, the Boar Demon recovered his senses. When he reopened his eyes and looked at Wei Xun opposite him, the arrogant look in his eyes had vanished, replaced by shock and fear.

After shouting that word, the Boar Demon turned and ran.

Seeing this, the lesser demons following him immediately followed closely behind, fleeing together towards the Forest in the West.

Watching these few demons flee in disarray, Wei Xun did not pursue them.

Chasing them down and eliminating them would yield no rewards, and might even create enmity with that Nine-Tusk Mountain.

These few demons clearly looked like paupers; they surely wouldn't have any Magic Treasure on them.

“Continue leading the way!”

Having resolved the trouble, Wei Xun turned to the birdman Jiji behind him and instructed.

The birdman Jiji immediately nodded, then leaped up, transforming his arms into wings, and flew into the air, continuing to lead the way.

After crossing the White River Plain, there was another dense Mountain Forest.

However, it was already dark, and although the distance wasn't far, it was indeed unsuitable to go up the Mountain at night.

It would be easy to be mistaken for a spy, so Wei Xun found a comfortable spot, intending to rest for the night and then cross this Forest to Lingtao Mountain tomorrow morning.

Before going to sleep, Wei Xun took out the Myriad Treasures Gilded Pagoda from his storage space again.

Then he used the Dream Soul Travel Technique to enter the pagoda.

“Young man, you've come again! Come quickly and play a game of chess with me.”

Seeing Wei Xun enter, the Old Man on the first floor of the pagoda immediately greeted him.

“Old Man, let's not!” Wei Xun shook his head, “I can't win against you in chess, and even if I did, there's no good prize. I'm going upstairs to take a look.”

Hearing Wei Xun's words, the Old Man sighed slightly, “Then go ahead. That fellow on the second floor is even harder to deal with than me.”

“Thank you for the reminder, Old Man!” After Wei Xun cupped his hands slightly towards the Old Man, he turned and found the stairs leading to the second floor.

Stepping up the stairs to the second floor, he found that the style of the second floor was completely different from the first.

The first floor was like an empty, ancient-style chess hall, while the second floor resembled a blacksmith's shop, with a melting furnace in the middle and many charcoal blocks piled next to it.

However, there wasn't a single weapon visible on the entire second floor.

The blacksmith's shop seemed to have been abandoned.

Hearing someone approach, a disheveled, unkempt brute with messy hair slowly emerged from a corner at the very back of the blacksmith's shop.

The brute's hair hung over his face, obscuring more than half of his eyes.

Coupled with his thick, connecting beard, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call this brute a savage.

“Oh, how can anyone still come here!”

The brute patted himself down, finding nothing, and couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.

“Hello, Big Brother!”

Upon seeing this brute, Wei Xun immediately cupped his hands respectfully in greeting.

“You should leave! There's nothing I can give you here anymore!”

The brute shook his head, looking dejected.

Hearing this, Wei Xun turned his head and looked around, indeed finding nothing valuable or precious.

“Big Brother, you must be a blacksmith, right!” Wei Xun didn't leave but continued to greet him.

“I'm no blacksmith!” The brute shook his head.

“Then what are you?” Wei Xun was a little confused.

“I am a Forging Great Master!” The brute turned to look at Wei Xun. Although his eyes were largely obscured by his hair, Wei Xun could still feel the seriousness in his gaze.

“Alright, Forging Great Master!” Wei Xun could only cup his hands in greeting to the brute again.

“Hmm!” Only then did the brute nod in satisfaction, but then he looked dejected again.

“Why is there nothing left here?” Wei Xun couldn't help but ask curiously.

The brute's body stiffened slightly upon hearing this, then he turned and walked to his extinguished furnace.

All that remained at his weapon-forging spot was a single, blackened blacksmith's hammer.

“It was all won away!”

The brute shook his head helplessly.

“Was it also taken by the person who came in six hundred years ago?” Wei Xun asked curiously.

“Yes!”

The brute answered casually, then picked up the blacksmith's hammer he had placed on the table, and then put it back down.

“Big Brother, how do you determine victory or defeat on your floor?”

Upon hearing this question, the brute directly shook his head, “There's nothing left on my floor. You can go upstairs and see; perhaps there might still be good things left on the upper floors.”

“But you still have a hammer!”

Wei Xun pointed to the hammer the brute had just put down, a greedy look on his face.

Hearing Wei Xun's words, the brute was stunned.

“Are you sure, kid?”

“Of course, I'm sure!” Wei Xun nodded, “But you have to tell me first what the method of victory and defeat is on your floor!”

“It's very simple!” The brute's tone suddenly became serious, “The key to my floor lies in one word…”

“What?”

“Contest of Strength!”

“Aren't those two words?” Wei Xun questioned.

“That's not important!” The brute shook his head.

“Alright!” Wei Xun could only ask again, “Then how do we contest strength?”

“It's very simple!” The brute revealed the muscular bicep of his right arm, “Any method of competing with Qi will do, like arm wrestling!”

Hearing this, Wei Xun instantly lost confidence.

Although he couldn't circulate Spiritual Qi in the pagoda, nor could he discern this brute's cultivation level.

But just by looking at the brute's thick arms, Wei Xun felt his chances were slim.

“Want to give it a try?” The brute squeezed out a faint smile.

“What's the penalty for losing?” Wei Xun asked an extra question.

“No penalty!” The brute shook his head, “If possible, you could help me get some various Ore in the future. My hands have been itching for many years, but there's just no iron to forge!”
