65: Testing medicine?

“When are you planning to make your move?” Wei Xun asked the Lobster Demon.

If it was truly as the Carp Demon said, and he intended to attack the mountain, then the entire Black Tiger Mountain would fall into chaos.

He could then use this opportunity to escape Black Tiger Mountain, but he needed to rescue Xiong Er beforehand.

“This…” Facing Wei Xun’s question, the Lobster Demon stammered, “This Red Armor Big Brother didn't say, and we don't know either!”

“You don’t know anything, yet you came to get this topographic map?” Wei Xun narrowed his eyes, then kicked the Lobster Demon away. “I’ll say it again, I will only give this map to the Carp Demon when I see him. I will be here again tomorrow night, don’t miss it!”

After Wei Xun finished speaking, he turned and left. The Lobster Demon knew he was no match for Wei Xun, so he didn't try to stop him, only turning and leaping into the river below the cliff, disappearing from sight.

The next day, Wei Xun arrived at Fox Elder’s Immortal Cave entrance early in the morning.

The two demons were there even earlier than him, but they both looked like they hadn't woken up yet, leaning against a stone and dozing off.

“You two came so early?” Wei Xun greeted them casually when he saw them.

“Fox Elder occasionally performs Alchemy at night, so coming early gives us a chance to receive Fox Elder’s reward!” The Chicken Demon yawned.

The Leopard Demon also nodded from the side, “Counting the days, Fox Elder should have performed Alchemy last night. I just don’t know what Fox Elder will refine this time.”

As they were talking, Fox Elder walked out of his Immortal Cave, indeed holding three dark Medicinal Pills.

Seeing Fox Elder emerge, the two demons immediately perked up, standing up one after another, their eyes full of anticipation.

“Last night, this old man refined three qi enhancing pills!” Fox Elder walked over to Wei Xun and the other two with a smile, spreading his palm to display the three Medicinal Pills in his hand.

Wei Xun looked at the three dark Medicinal Pills and immediately used Ten Mile Tracking to sniff their scent from a distance.

Sure enough, among the pile of Medicinal Pills he had stolen from the Immortal Mountain, there was a similar one.

However, just like last time, the Medicinal Pill stolen from the Immortal Mountain contained far more Spiritual Qi than the one in Fox Elder’s hand, so its efficacy would surely be better.

“Fox Elder, what’s the use of this qi enhancing pill?” The Chicken Demon asked curiously.

“As the name suggests, the qi enhancing pill is, of course, a Medicinal Pill that enhances the Spiritual Qi within the body!” Fox Elder said with a chuckle, “However, it has a time limit. This old man is refining this Medicinal Pill for the first time, and after taking it, its effects only last for about a hundred breaths.”

A hundred breaths?

Wei Xun roughly calculated in his mind, it was only about a hundred-odd seconds, which was about two minutes.

After hearing this, the Chicken Demon immediately asked again, “Then doesn’t that mean after eating it, our cultivation will increase?”

“Hmm!” Fox Elder nodded. “Each of you take one and consume it. I want to see how effective the Medicinal Pill is!”

Receiving the command, Wei Xun had no choice but to pick up a Medicinal Pill and hold it in his hand, just like the Chicken Demon and the others.

Seeing the Chicken Demon and the Leopard Demon in front of him both consume the Medicinal Pill, Wei Xun also had no good reason to refuse and followed suit, swallowing the Medicinal Pill into his stomach.

After the qi enhancing pill entered his stomach, Wei Xun only felt a great heat in his abdomen, followed by a surge of energy into all his Meridians, which indeed enhanced the Spiritual Qi within his body.

Wei Xun looked to the side. The two demons who had also swallowed the qi enhancing pill were now emitting wisps of white smoke from their noses and mouths. Immediately afterward, he was doing the same.

The white smoke coming from his nostrils felt slightly hot to the touch.

It felt like steam rising from boiling water.

And the Qi he actively exhaled was also scalding hot.

“I feel like I have endless strength throughout my body!” The Chicken Demon clenched his fists, veins bulging on his arms, and his skin was slightly red.

On the other side, the Leopard Demon walked to the stone he had just been leaning against, and with a strong pull, he easily lifted the stone with both hands.

One must know that the stone weighed at least several hundred pounds, yet in the Leopard Demon’s hands, it felt like a hollow stone model.

But just as Wei Xun was about to try the effect himself, the Leopard Demon, who had just lifted the large stone, suddenly choked and coughed up a trace of blood from his mouth.

The stone he had lifted also fell to the side due to his choking. At this moment, the Leopard Demon was panting heavily, and his aura began to become chaotic.

Seeing this scene, Fox Elder frowned slightly, “It seems this Medicinal Pill still has flaws. The formula needs to be optimized!”

After Fox Elder finished speaking, he turned and returned to his Immortal Cave.

The Chicken Demon looked at the Leopard Demon kneeling on the ground in discomfort, and was immediately startled. He then immediately circulated his Qi to slowly alleviate the Qi within his body, not daring to use it freely.

Wei Xun, seeing this, also circulated the Spiritual Qi within his body, attempting to digest the enhanced Qi within him.

This old fox was clearly using them to test the Medicinal Pill!

“Are you alright?” The Chicken Demon walked over to the Leopard Demon and asked with concern.

“Don’t worry, I won’t die!” The Leopard Demon coughed twice and chose to sit cross-legged on the ground, simultaneously circulating the Spiritual Qi within his body to regulate his breathing.

“Why does it feel like we’re just test subjects for the Medicinal Pills?” Wei Xun asked the Chicken Demon in a low voice after the Qi within his body had completely dissipated.

“What’s the big deal!” The Chicken Demon seemed not to care. “It’s just testing a Medicinal Pill, it’s not like we’re going to die. Sometimes the Medicinal Pills Fox Elder refines can greatly increase our cultivation. Occasionally encountering such a Medicinal Pill is harmless; we’ll recover in a few days.”

Seeing the Chicken Demon say this, Wei Xun naturally didn't continue speaking. Instead, he turned to the side, closed his eyes, and entered his Da Kou Space.

And among that pile of Medicinal Pills, he found a Medicinal Pill with a similar scent to the qi enhancing pill Fox Elder had given him.

If this Medicinal Pill in the Da Kou Space was also a qi enhancing pill, it would definitely be a hundred times better than Fox Elder’s.

After all, it was refined by Xiao Li’s Junior Martial Uncle from the Immortal Mountain. The efficacy of the previous Forging Bone Spirit Pill had already proven that the Medicinal Pills he refined were absolutely not ordinary.

However, the unfortunate thing was that Wei Xun only had one of this type of Medicinal Pill.

If it could greatly increase his cultivation and battle power in a short period, then he must use it at a crucial moment, otherwise, wasting it would be a great pity.

Since Fox Elder had come out in the morning and given them three Medicinal Pills, he had not emerged from his Immortal Cave, and Wei Xun didn't know what he was doing.

When night fell, Wei Xun returned to his own cave.

It wasn't until deep into the night, when Black Tiger Mountain became quiet and silent, that Wei Xun emerged from his cave and headed to the cliff edge where he had met the Lobster Demon last night.

After waiting for a long time at the cliff edge, a red figure climbed up from below.

“Did you bring the map?” The Carp Demon immediately asked after coming up.

Wei Xun looked up at the Carp Demon, then pulled out the Black Tiger Mountain topographic map he had drawn on a piece of scrap cloth from his embrace. “I brought the map, but where’s my brother?”

“Are you talking about this?” The Carp Demon pulled out the conch containing Xiong Er from his embrace.

“Hmm!” Wei Xun nodded. “Map for conch!”
