139: A lean camel is bigger than a horse

"You jest, Monkey King!" Wei Xun said with a bitter smile. "You can't even defeat him, so how could I?"

"I'll give you two more Lingtao!" The Monkey King suddenly raised his offer.

"Deal!"

Wei Xun immediately agreed after hearing that.

Turning his head to look at the Scorpion Demon in the distance, Wei Xun reached out and took out the iron rod.

The Monkey King looked at the identical iron rod in Wei Xun's hand and couldn't help but ask, "Are there two of these rods?"

"Twins!" Wei Xun held the rod horizontally in front of him, then said to the Monkey King, "Let's go together. I'm afraid I can't defeat him alone."

Wei Xun had just fought with that Black Eagle, consuming a large amount of Spiritual Qi.

And this Scorpion Demon clearly looked much more powerful than the Black Eagle, so he definitely wouldn't be able to defeat him in a one-on-one fight.

"Alright!"

The Monkey King took a deep breath, adjusted his breathing, and also stood side by side with Wei Xun, holding his rod.

Seeing this, the Scorpion Demon in the distance sneered and slowly walked towards Wei Xun.

"Monkey King, oh Monkey King!" The Scorpion Demon sneered, "Do you think finding a useless person to help can defeat me?"

"How will we know if we don't try!" The Monkey King sneered.

"If I were you!" The Scorpion Demon said, "I would put down my weapon and surrender now; that way, I might spare your life!"

"Those words should be said by me to you!" The Monkey King grinned and said, "I have already sent word down, and soon my generals will come to support me. When that time comes, I will not let you go."

"Hahahahaha!"

The Scorpion Demon laughed heartily after hearing that.

"You old monkey are truly naive! If your generals could come to help, they would have come long ago. Why would they wait until now?"

Seeing the Scorpion Demon's triumphant look, the Monkey King frowned slightly.

It was indeed true; he had sent his subordinates to inform them before the battle began.

But after fighting for so long, there was not a single reinforcement.

"Although I don't know how you knew my plan!" The Scorpion Demon sneered, "But now, your old bones can't cause any trouble. My meticulous planning was clearly unnecessary."

The Monkey King rested his rod on his shoulder, his eyes fierce, saying, "There's an old saying, 'A lean camel is still bigger than a horse!'"

"This King is at least in the Scattered Core Realm, so how could I be defeated so easily?"

"Alright, I'd like to see if your mouth is tougher, or my sword is tougher!"

After saying this, the Scorpion Demon instantly erupted with Qi, then thrust his sword fiercely towards the Monkey King.

The Monkey King's gaze sharpened, and he thrust his iron rod forward. The iron rod instantly extended and collided precisely with the Scorpion Demon's long sword.

Meanwhile, Wei Xun seized the opportunity to condense lightning between his palms and infuse it into the entire iron rod, then smashed it towards the Scorpion Demon from the side.

Facing the pincer attack, the Scorpion Demon remained unfazed. He flipped his hand and struck a palm towards Wei Xun.

The powerful palm wind struck Wei Xun head-on, directly sending him flying. He landed on the ground and stumbled back several steps before stopping.

"This is truly troublesome!"

Wei Xun turned to look, and the Monkey King was already entangled in a fierce battle with the Scorpion Demon again.

"Perhaps those Lingtao aren't worth it after all!"

Wei Xun clutched his chest, feeling a bit of pain.

Just now, the Heart Protection Shield on his chest had blocked the Black Eagle's four flying dagger attacks, and he still had three chances of the Protective Golden Light remaining.

For the Heart Protection Shield to fully recover its energy, it would take at least several days to recuperate.

The path down the mountain now looked unobstructed, and escaping at this moment was undoubtedly the best opportunity.

In any case, his purpose for coming to Lingtao Mountain had already been achieved; there was no need to continue the entanglement.

After comforting himself for a moment, Wei Xun prepared to walk down the mountain.

His Qi was somewhat depleted now, and if he continued to fight, he would surely be in grave danger.

But at this moment, Wei Xun actually saw the Male Fox Demon he had previously tricked into fighting the Nine-Toothed Mountain Leopard, walking up the mountain, covered in blood.

And this fellow was carrying the head of the Leopard Demon in his hand.

"So ruthless!"

Wei Xun swallowed hard at the sight. Just as he was about to sneak away, the Fox Demon called out to him.

"I finally found you!"

The Male Fox Demon walked forward, threw the Leopard Demon's head on the ground, and then held out his hand, asking, "Isn't it time for you to give me half of the Lingtao you promised?"

"You..." Wei Xun's mind raced, then he turned and pointed at the Scorpion Demon fighting the Monkey King in the distance: "It's not that I don't want to give it to you, it's just that my Lingtao was snatched away by that guy!"

"What?" The Male Fox Demon immediately frowned upon hearing this. "You're not trying to trick me, are you!"

"Why would I trick you!" Wei Xun said with a bitter smile, "If the Lingtao were in my hands, I would have already run down the mountain. Why would I still be here?"

After speaking, Wei Xun also clutched his chest and said, "Just now, in order to snatch the Lingtao back, I was hit by his palm. I haven't recovered yet."

After saying that, Wei Xun even pretended to cough a few times.

"This is truly troublesome!" The Male Fox Demon sighed, then flipped his hand and produced a small bottle.

Immediately after, he poured out a black Medicinal Pill from the bottle and put it in his mouth.

A moment later, Wei Xun could clearly feel that the Spiritual Qi within the Male Fox Demon's body had been replenished.

"What good stuff, give me one!" Wei Xun immediately reached out to ask for one when he saw this.

"qi enhancing pill!" The Male Fox Demon was not stingy and poured one into Wei Xun's hand as well.

After swallowing the qi enhancing pill, Wei Xun found that the Spiritual Qi in his body was indeed replenished, but it was not fully restored.

This qi enhancing pill was somewhat different from the previous qi enhancing pill.

The qi enhancing pill replenishes consumed Spiritual Qi, while the qi enhancing pill can temporarily increase the Spiritual Qi limit and also temporarily boost one's Realm.

"The Monkey King seems to be at a disadvantage!" The Male Fox Demon took a deep breath and adjusted his breathing. "We need to go up quickly!"

"No problem!" Wei Xun also adjusted his breathing and prepared to go up, holding his iron rod.

"But the terms of the deal have changed now!" The Male Fox Demon glanced at Wei Xun and said, "Whoever can take down that Scorpion Demon amidst the chaos, the Lingtao will be theirs!"

"You call the shots!"

Wei Xun nodded in agreement. He had originally wanted to take the opportunity to escape, but he found that the monsters who had been chasing him to snatch the peaches had already caught up.

At this moment, they had blocked the path down the mountain, but due to their fear of the Monkey King's deterrence, these fellows did not dare to act rashly.

Now Wei Xun only had one option, which was to help the Monkey King defeat the Scorpion Demon, and then use the Monkey King's prestige to make these monsters from other places clear the way.

"I'm going first!"

After saying this, the Male Fox Demon rushed towards the Scorpion Demon in the distance, holding a short knife.

Wei Xun immediately followed closely behind.

Three against one, this Scorpion Demon was definitely no match.

Indeed, after Wei Xun and the Male Fox Demon joined the battle, the Scorpion Demon instantly fell into a disadvantage.

Having fought the Monkey King for so long, the Scorpion Demon was clearly also somewhat exhausted.

But just at this moment, the bird demon who had previously relayed messages for the Monkey King flew back.

"Monkey King, this is bad! The Lingtao Tree on the mountaintop has been captured by them!"
