The seventh feather

As soon as these mutated creatures flew into the air, with a thought from Lin Feng, they all fell back down, lying motionless on the ground.

“Too weak.”

After saying that, Lin Feng generated a spiritual energy shield and then submerged into the crack.

The fleshy creature was clearly somewhat afraid of Lin Feng, and its Creep speed became faster and faster; however, everything was futile. After observing for a while, Lin Feng stretched out his hand and lightly waved, and a sword qi sliced the virus mother body into two halves.

A large amount of yellow liquid gushed out from it.

It took a full ten minutes before it slowly stopped, and at this moment, the System’s notification sound rang out.

“Ding, congratulations to the host for completing the mission. Rewards have been issued. Please check.”

“It’s over just like that, huh? Alright, then let’s get ready to go.”

After saying that, Lin Feng was about to leave the crack, but just then, his gaze was drawn to a white object.

“Feather, a feather?”

A somewhat bewildered Lin Feng quickly ran over and grabbed the feather floating at the location of the mother body’s death.

After scanning, it was finally confirmed that this was the Key Feather he was looking for.

“Holy cow, I actually found this too!”

Lin Feng, who found the feather, was immediately overjoyed. There was nothing he could do; it was simply too sudden. Without much effort, he had stumbled upon a long-desired feather.

Now, including Qin An’s, Lin Feng had collected seven Key Feathers.

After excitedly taking a few deep breaths, Lin Feng gradually calmed down and quickly placed the feather into the System Space.

Lin Feng didn’t know why the feather appeared in this place, but he felt that it might have been because a Seeker who previously held the feather entered this floor to explore, was then killed by a mutated creature, and fed into the virus mother body’s mouth as nourishment.

That’s why the feather appeared inside the virus mother body.

However, no matter what, the harvest from this trip greatly surprised Lin Feng.

On the way back, Lin Feng was, without surprise, blocked by a large number of mutated creatures. Although it wasted a little of Lin Feng’s time, he ultimately successfully returned to the Elevator.

After the virus mother body was killed, almost all the mutated creatures became agitated, rushing towards the direction of the incubation room.

But that had nothing to do with Lin Feng anymore.

He was somewhat curious: if all the virus mother bodies in this world were killed by him, then the zombie apocalypse should also have a chance to end, right?

Of course, this excludes situations where there are several virus mother bodies.

Upon returning to the Elevator, Lin Feng directly picked up Black Bean, who was drinking water by the pool, and frantically rubbed his dog head.

He rubbed Black Bean’s erect ears until they were almost folded before putting him down.

Black Bean, after being put down, looked bewildered, but upon sensing his owner’s happy mood, he also barked a few times.

“Haha, only three feathers left! Is the mystery finally going to be revealed?!”

Lin Feng said while rubbing Black Bean’s dog head.

Black Bean immediately barked a few times in agreement.

Just then, the ling ring on Lin Feng’s finger suddenly flickered a few times.

A curious Lin Feng submerged his consciousness into it only to realize that he seemed to have forgotten to let a certain mouse out…

At this moment, Ben Shu, who was in the ling ring, already had a speechless expression and was continuously venting his dissatisfaction towards Lin Feng.

Because this guy knew that Lin Feng could understand what he was saying, he was “eloquent,” almost ready to read Lin Feng’s family tree aloud.

“Alright, alright, stop cursing. Didn’t I just forget you? Staying in the ling ring for a few days won’t kill you.”

A speechless Lin Feng quickly pulled this chatterbox out.

“Woof!”

Black Bean saw Ben Shu, who suddenly appeared in Lin Feng’s hand, and barked affectionately, then wagged his big tongue and licked him twice.

“Squeak, squeak, Ben Shu’s own little brother is still the best. Don’t lick next time, or Ben Shu will have to take a bath.”

After speaking, Ben Shu kicked with his two short legs and jumped directly onto Black Bean’s head.

He casually ruffled the fur on his head and comfortably lay down, looking at Lin Feng with a disdainful expression.

“Sigh, it’s quite speechless.”

Shaking his head and ignoring the very agitated Ben Shu, Lin Feng went to the lakeside Villa to cultivate.

“Sir, your pet little dragon caught an unidentified human around the Villa. Would you like to take a look?”

Just as Lin Feng began to cultivate, 101 came before him and asked softly.

“Caught a human?”

Lin Feng frowned, then got up and went outside.

“Where?”

“I’ve already tied him by the lake.”

After speaking, 101 led Lin Feng over.

A young man wearing gray casual clothes was seen tied up with ropes to a large tree.

The little dragon, who was guarding nearby, also stared fiercely at the young man.

“Roar!”

Seeing Lin Feng approach, the little dragon immediately barked at him.

“Who are you? Who sent you?”

Lin Feng asked directly, getting straight to the point, and removed the cloth gagging the young man’s mouth.

The young man said indifferently, then directly closed his eyes, looking as if he was resigned to his fate.

“Heh heh, no comment?”

Lin Feng chuckled. If it were before, he might not have had a good way to deal with such a person, at most using a truth spell to interrogate them, but now he had a more convenient method.

That is, memory extraction.

This was also a divine ability only available after breaking through to the Nascent Soul Stage.

However, it could only be used on people whose cultivation realm was lower than his own.

It was also very convenient to use: just place your hand on the other person’s head, and then absorb, and it’s done.

To be honest, Lin Feng was quite curious about what it felt like to extract someone else’s memories.

“Are you sure you won’t speak?”

“Hmph!”

The young man snorted coldly, clearly having undergone professional training, so he was not at all afraid of Lin Feng’s next moves.

It was nothing more than torture, and he had been trained for it.

However, the next moment, he felt his head being covered by a warm large hand.

“You, what are you going to do?”

“Heh heh, do you know the Star Absorbing Great Art?”

Lin Feng looked at the young man in front of him with a slight smile.

“What?”

As soon as the young man finished speaking, he felt his consciousness gradually becoming blurry, and the next moment, his eyes became vacant.

His body also became weak.

One minute later, Lin Feng removed his hand and began to digest the extracted memories.

The memories extracted by this memory extraction technique were very chaotic, almost containing all of the person’s memories from childhood to adulthood, so it took Lin Feng some time to digest them.

Of course, there was no need to worry that these memories would disturb Lin Feng’s original memories.

If not needed, these memories could be cleared at any time.
