109: Starfruit Tree

During the Beast Calamity period, some Chaos Gods and Demons were also born through Reincarnation in the starry sky.

Upon their birth, they absorbed the Origin of various stars to complete their rapid development.

Among them, the Chaos God and Demon Qiong Tian completed his Reincarnation on Zi Wei Star and subsequently began to refine the star Origin of Zi Wei Star.

At that time, the Origin will of Zi Wei Star had not yet awakened; as long as Qiong Tian completed the refinement of its Origin, he would be able to replace the authority of Zi Wei Star.

The Origin of Zi Wei Star was immensely powerful and could not be replaced in a short time; this process was bound to be extremely long.

By the time the Origin will of Zi Wei Star noticed the abnormality, it had already lost a portion of its Origin.

In desperation, to protect itself, it entrusted a portion of its Origin to the Star Fruit Tree, using it to construct a defense to prevent the encroachment of Qiong Tian.

However, as a reincarnated Chaos God and Demon, Qiong Tian possessed some means.

By collecting the Origin of other stars, he refined a giant meteorite axe to hack at the defenses of the Star Fruit Tree.

Yet, under repeated hacking, the defenses of the Star Fruit Tree not only did not weaken but instead constantly adjusted and evolved during the attacks.

During this period, in the battle to guard the Origin of Zi Wei Star, the Star Fruit Tree gradually developed a hazy self-awareness.

It began to understand how to actively deploy Star Power, would self-repair during the gaps in Qiong Tian's attacks, and could even predict the opponent's attack routes.

This germination of spirituality completely exceeded the initial expectations of the Zi Wei Star will.

It originally only wanted to find shelter, but unexpectedly created a brand new Star Spirit.

Later, the Beast Calamity broke out; Qiong Tian was drawn away by the calamity Qi, left Zi Wei Star, and ultimately died in the calamity.

However, a portion of the Zi Wei Star Origin remained within the Star Fruit Tree, and after a long period of evolution, a clear and complete will was finally born.

At this moment, Qing Wu leaned under the Star Fruit Tree, looking at the three hundred and sixty-five star fruits upon it, each flickering with starlight.

A large, plump leaf stretched over, fanned him, and then drew in the Zhou Tian Starry Sky light to gather around, shining upon Qing Wu's body and making him appear radiant.

Qing Wu nodded, thinking to himself, "This fellow is quite sensible."

This fellow seemed like Qing Wu in the past; it had developed intelligence but found Transformation difficult, trapped in this small space, its yearning for the Primordial World growing day by day.

Now that it saw an example of successful Transformation before its eyes, it naturally had to curry favor in every possible way.

"Come with me!" Qing Wu said indifferently.

Upon hearing this, the Star Fruit Tree could no longer hold back; it had finally waited for these words, and it was worth all its fawning for so long.

In its excitement, its branches and leaves trembled wildly, and suddenly a rain of stars fell, scattering everywhere.

"Alright, don't be too happy yet. Regarding Transformation, my situation was accidental and not worth using as a reference."

"Therefore, whether you can achieve Transformation still depends on the specific timing."

Qing Wu was not deceiving it with these words.

After all, not every Supreme-Grade Acquired Spiritual Root has a top-tier companion being.

If it hadn't been for the protection of Yuan Feng back then, he probably would have found it difficult to successfully achieve Transformation, and the result would likely have been the same as that of the Creation Green Lotus, ending in death.

However, the Primordial World of today has undergone many changes, and the loosening and alteration of some rules have provided new possibilities.

And the fact that the Star Fruit Tree has developed complete intelligence is the best proof.

By conducting an experiment with it, it is not impossible to blaze a new path.

The Star Fruit Tree did not hesitate at all and was determined to follow Qing Wu.

Although Zi Wei Star was the most suitable environment for it to accumulate magic power.

But it also knew that after this time, there would definitely not be such an Opportunity again.

In the face of Transformation and birth, everything else was a minor issue.

The Star Fruit Tree drew in the light of the heavens to empower itself, landing on the ground to become a human figure, and bowed respectfully to Qing Wu, "Senior, please rest assured. Since I, the little tree, have decided to follow you, I will not easily waver."

Qing Wu smiled slightly, "You are teachable!"

He immediately summoned the wood spirit pearl and took it inside.

After this, the two people and the tree began to wander on Zi Wei Star.

Under the guidance of the Star Fruit Tree, Qing Wu and Yuan Feng strolled through the forgotten corners of Zi Wei Star.

This spiritual Innate Spiritual Root knew every inch of Zi Wei Star like the back of its hand.

It projected a guiding path of light onto the ground via starlight, leading the two to a Secret Realm sealed by layers of star Formations.

After passing through seven layers of starlight barriers, the scene before them amazed the two.

This was a lake formed entirely from the essence of stars, the water crystal clear, reflecting the entire Primordial World starry sky.

In the center of the lake floated three hundred and sixty-five star fragments, each emitting a unique dao rhyme.

The Star Fruit Tree emitted pleasant musical rhythms through the vibration of its branches and leaves, and those fragments danced along with it, combining into an incomplete star map in the Void Realm.

This was the Star Disk born from Zi Wei Star, possessing the ability to invoke the Zhou Tian Starry Sky.

It was just a pity that they were separated from each other at this moment, in a broken state.

In the lake, the Star Fruit Tree had already fished up all the fragments but could never complete the assembly.

Qing Wu shook his head, "It seems that the Chaos God and Demon Qiong Tian still had some means."

The Zi Wei Star Disk was shattered, and even after such a long time, it could not be restored.

In that battle to defend the Origin, the extent of the destruction caused by the Chaos God and Demon Qiong Tian to Zi Wei Star could be seen from this.

"Let's go. It won't be too late to come back and retrieve the Opportunity after you achieve Transformation."

The branches and leaves of the Star Fruit Tree immediately stopped trembling; helplessly, it flicked its branches and returned the fragments to the lake.

It separated the most brilliant star fruit from its crown.

This fruit automatically flew to the center of the lake, resonated with those fragments, and then fell into the lake, becoming nourishment to repair the Star Disk.

Using its own authority, it activated many Formations and Restrictions to seal this place, then returned to the wood spirit pearl.

Leaving Zi Wei Star, the two people and the tree continued to travel through the starry sky.

...

Meanwhile, outside the chaotic Zixiao Palace, two child Daoists, one male and one female, stood on either side of the palace gate.

Eight thousand years had passed since Lord Hongjun announced the lecture, and no one had arrived yet.

Zixiao Palace was unusually quiet, and the two little ones had fallen asleep without realizing it.

Time passed slowly, and there was less than a thousand years left until the lecture time.

Two figures descended; one was dressed in a red robe with a free-spirited temperament, and the other wore a dark yellow Daoist robe with a very heavy aura—it was Red Cloud and Zhenyuanzi.

Red Cloud looked around, but did not find anyone who had arrived before them, so he smiled and said: "Brother Daoist, I did not expect us to be the first to arrive. I hope to make a good impression on the Saint."

After hearing the news of the Saint's lecture, the two of them had rushed over immediately.

With Zhenyuanzi protecting them with the Earth Book, the Chaos astral wind and Void Realm turbulence in the Chaos could naturally not disturb them.

And with Red Cloud performing his escape technique, they were able to arrive ahead of many Innate Sacred Beings.

Zhenyuanzi nodded slightly, looking around, but did not find the two figures he had expected; it seemed that those two did not intend to come and listen to the Dao.

He shook his head, "Forget it, the two Fellow Daoists have profound cultivation, not something we can understand."

At this moment, streaks of light appeared one after another, and people arrived one after another...
