154: The matter of purple aura

Thousands of years passed in the blink of an eye.

The phenomena within Wuzhuang Temple gradually dissipated, and the group's Dao Discussion came to an end.

Qing Wu and his companion prepared to return, bringing Lu Shu along with them.

After all, they couldn't just stay there forever.

After such a long period of repair, the western earth veins had shown preliminary results.

They were certainly not as they once were and still required a long time for recovery and development.

Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun saw the group out of Wuzhuang Temple.

"Everyone, please take care on your way!"

Qing Wu looked at Hong Yun beside him, wanting to urge him to stay out of trouble.

But considering his nature to always wander about, he simply said, "Fellow Daoist, as you travel the Great Desolation, you must act with caution."

Hearing this, Hong Yun smiled and said, "Of course, of course. I shall keep your words in mind, Fellow Daoist."

After that, the three people and one dog left Wuzhuang Temple and headed back toward the Immortal Volcano.

Along the way, Qing Wu thought of that wisp of Primordial Violet Qi that had escaped into the world.

Since it hadn't recognized a master, it truly would be obtained by whoever was destined for it.

As for who would eventually obtain this Opportunity and ascend to that Saintly Position, Qing Wu couldn't think of a suitable candidate for the time being.

East Duke was definitely out; with his personality, he would never achieve anything great.

Despite having built the Immortal Court into a behemoth that seemed poised to rule the Great Desolation...

...his true capabilities and whether the Immortal Court was a paper tiger would be revealed once they clashed with Dijun's Heavenly Court and the Wu Clan of Mount Buzhou.

As for Dijun...

If anyone was truly closest to this wisp of Primordial Violet Qi, it should be Dijun.

The Heavenly Court, being an entity birthed from a portion of the Heavenly Dao's authority, was naturally very close to the Heavenly Dao.

If Dijun could ascend to the position of Heavenly Emperor and rule over all living beings in the Great Desolation, he would indeed have a great chance of fulfilling his wish and attaining the position of a Saint.

But the question was, would the thriving Wu Clan agree to it?

With the Ancestral Witches' explosive tempers, acknowledging only their Father God and disregarding Saints, they would never allow the Heavenly Court under Dijun's control to rule this world created by the Pangu Great God.

At worst, they would just fight; the Ancestral Witches had never taken Dijun or Taiyi seriously.

The beginning of the Great Calamity would also start from the conflict between these two sides.

Aside from them, he couldn't think of any other suitable candidate.

It couldn't possibly be himself.

He already had...

"Hmm!"

Just as he thought this, the wisp of Primordial Violet Qi in his bosom stirred.

It seemed it wanted to lead him to find that other wisp of Primordial Violet Qi!

"This... wouldn't be right..."

He looked at Yuan Feng beside him; she seemed to sense something as well, and the two exchanged a look.

After understanding each other's thoughts, they decided not to go looking for that wisp of Primordial Violet Qi.

In the past, they would have been delighted that such a wisp of Primordial Violet Qi was destined for them.

After all, they only had one wisp, but there were two of them.

As a backup for their Dao validation, having two wisps of Primordial Violet Qi would naturally be the most secure option.

But now that they had both become Primordial Chaos Great Golden Immortals, they hadn't even decided how to handle the wisp they already held.

It would be somewhat unreasonable to go and snatch that sliver of hope from all living beings.

It was decided: if truly no one proved worthy of it, it wouldn't be too late to take it then.

Thus, the two no longer dwelled on it and returned directly to the Immortal Volcano...

Inside the main hall of the Heavenly Court.

Following Fuxi's advice, Dijun was already making preparations to gather Luck.

Their plan was to establish a race, a new group to rule over the myriad races of the Great Desolation and gather their Luck.

Dijun would take charge of the Heavenly Court and plot to seize the position of Heavenly Emperor.

He looked at the group of Innate Sacred Beings gathered there, all of whom were his trusted subordinates.

"What are your thoughts, everyone? Please, speak freely."

Hearing this, they looked at one another, unsure of what to say for a moment.

One person stepped out from the crowd; it was Bai Ze.

"We have yet to complete our control over the Zhou Tian Starry Sky. Is this matter perhaps a bit too hasty?"

Hearing this, Taiyi's brow furrowed.

Anyone who opposed his elder brother was essentially expressing dissatisfaction with him.

Meeting his gaze, Bai Ze immediately shrank back a little.

Looking at Fuxi, who was closest to the main seat, he said, "My point is, would it be unwise for us to directly clash with East Duke's Immortal Court right now?"

Possessing a Divine Ability to seek Luck and avoid calamity, Bai Ze always acted with caution.

Until his Divine Ability gave a clear auspicious sign, his stance was to be as steady as possible.

Taiyi couldn't stand Bai Ze's words that seemed to bolster others' morale while undermining their own. He was about to teach him a lesson but was stopped by Dijun.

Subduing others through violence was not his way of doing things.

Ruling over all living beings and ascending to the position of Heavenly Emperor required not only great strength but also a matching temperament.

The first priority was to be able to tolerate differing opinions from subordinates.

Dijun raised his hand, signaling Fuxi to speak.

Fuxi nodded. "Fellow Daoist Bai Ze's steady approach is good, but in all matters, one must distinguish between what is urgent and what can wait."

"Now that the Dao Ancestor has merged with the Dao, our concerns regarding East Duke have lessened significantly. This is precisely the time for us to compete for the Dao."

"The authority over the stars can wait, but our stance toward East Duke must be decided now."

"If we wait any longer and let him continue to develop, it will cause us even greater trouble in the future."

Fuxi's words convinced everyone, and even Taiyi understood them clearly.

To hell with East Duke and the Immortal Court.

Just three words: just fight them.

After Fuxi's explanation, no one present had any further objections.

Bai Ze added, "Before that, we still need to determine the name of the race we are establishing."

Dijun pondered for a moment; naming was no simple task.

It not only needed to have deep meaning and encompass the spiritual essence of myriad races, but more importantly, it had to be recognized by the Heavenly Dao.

Otherwise, if one just picked a name like the 'Yang Race' or 'Sun Race,' the Heavenly Dao might not recognize one's right to rule over all beings.

Taiyi didn't care about all that. "In the past, the Dragon Clan and Qilin Clan could rule their subordinate groups under their own names. Why can't we use the name of the Golden Crow Clan?"

At these words, Dijun shook his head.

"The Dragon and Qilin Clans once had massive populations that could carry such Luck."

"Looking at the Golden Crows in the Great Desolation now, there are only the two of us brothers. How can we compare?"

Fuxi, however, was prepared and said, "Why not use the name 'Yao Race'?"

"All those from the myriad races who have gained sentience and undergone Transformation can be included under the Yao Race, protected by the Luck of the Heavenly Court."

"We should also deduce a cultivation method. Anyone who joins the Yao Race can Cultivate according to this method, thereby winning the hearts of the myriad races."

Dijun nodded in agreement. "In that case, let us prepare to establish the Yao Race. From this day forward, send out invitations to every corner of the Great Desolation, inviting them to witness the ceremony."

Everyone accepted the order and departed.

Only the two brothers remained in the hall. Dijun added, "Taiyi, once I have drafted an invitation, you and I shall deliver it personally."

Taiyi was stunned. Who did his brother want to invite so solemnly? Could it be that he intended to go to Zixiao Palace to invite the Saint to witness the ceremony?

Actually, it wasn't entirely out of the question.

If they could get a Saint to attend, the momentum of the Yao Race would likely skyrocket.

However, the Saint had already stated that he would not appear unless there was a major trend in the Great Desolation. Their reputation might not be enough to make him break his word.

That left only those two.
