156: Demon race

A thousand years passed quickly.

On this day, the Heavenly Court finally revealed a corner of its full majesty...

A corner of the towering Heavenly Court appeared from the clouds, and in an instant, ten thousand rays of rosy light and thousands of auspicious Auras radiated.

Among the manifested jade palaces and pavilions, luxury and nobility were displayed to the fullest.

The essence of the stars gathered, flowing with a seven-colored halo.

The living beings of the Primordial Land looked up at this fleeting glimpse of the Heavenly Court's magnificent scenery, their minds swaying with longing.

At this moment, the Heavenly Gates of the four directions manifested four golden bridges to the heavens, guiding the many living beings of the Primordial Land coming to the banquet.

This truly opened everyone's eyes.

The Heavenly Court was actually such a miraculous existence.

Opportunities like this were rare; chances for the Heavenly Court to be open like this were few.

Now, they simply had to go and join the excitement.

Many who had received invitations but originally didn't want to attend followed the crowd into the Heavenly Court.

In response, the Heavenly Court took them all in.

For a time, the Heavenly Court became a place where all parties gathered.

Many Golden Immortals, Taiyi, Daluo, and even some Quasi-Saint powerhouses appeared within the Heavenly Court.

Naturally, the many living beings were divided into different venues according to their strength and cultivation.

But no matter which corner they were in, they could all see Dijun at the highest point of the terrace, wearing the Sun Essence Crown and the Golden Crow Imperial Robe.

And standing beside him was Taiyi, holding the chaos bell, his gaze scanning the crowd like lightning, his entire body radiating a brilliant heavenly might that made people dare not look directly at him.

The imperial Aura of the two was overwhelming, enough to make all spirits submit.

Before long, Bai Ze, holding a jade register, stepped onto the cloud stairs and slowly ascended the terrace.

As he drew closer, the jade register in his hand flipped automatically, its golden runes flowing as they recorded the information of the guests from all sides.

Reaching the top of the terrace, he bowed and reported the number of living beings who had come to observe the ceremony to Dijun and Taiyi.

It was thirty percent more than expected.

Dijun nodded with satisfaction; it seemed the momentum-building was very successful.

Clang!

Taiyi summoned the chaos bell; the bell's body vibrated, letting out a chime that awed the entire audience.

Then, facing the assembled beings, Solar True Fire surged within Dijun's golden eyes.

Scanning the area, he didn't find the two figures he wanted to see, and a hint of regret flashed in his eyes.

But it was only for a moment before he regained his majestic and solemn demeanor.

Dijun stood with his head held high, Solar True Fire rising around him, illuminating the entire terrace in brilliant gold.

He slowly raised his hand, and the he tu luo book flew out of his sleeve, spreading out in the Void Realm to manifest a grand scroll of the Luck of the ten thousand races of the Primordial Land.

“Heavenly Dao above, I perceive that the myriad spirits of the Primordial Land, though different in appearance, are all born from the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi. I, Dijun, am willing to unify the myriad races and establish the ‘Yao Race’ lineage to rectify the order of heaven and earth!”

“I, Dijun, shall be the Yao Emperor of the Yao Race, Taiyi shall be the Eastern Emperor, and Fuxi shall be the Xi Emperor. We shall use the chaos bell and he tu luo book to suppress the Luck of the Yao Race.”

“The Yao Race is established!”

As his voice fell, a brilliant golden light suddenly descended from beyond the heavens; it was the resonance of the Heavenly Dao.

The vast majority of that golden light merged into Dijun, Taiyi, Fuxi, and their many subordinates.

The remaining small portion turned into a sky full of golden rain, showering down upon all the living beings present who recognized themselves as part of the Yao Race.

The various Yao felt their Bloodline boiling and their minds becoming clear; their cultivation bases even showed signs of progress.

Seeing this, Taiyi immediately struck the chaos bell.

The bell chimed nine times, shaking the Primordial Land.

With each chime, a layer of heavenly palaces appeared in the clouds, extending all the way to the Nine Heavens.

The stars shone brightly all at once, sketching a magnificent scroll of ten thousand Yao coming to pay homage across the firmament.

The Sun Essence Crown atop Dijun's head grew even more dazzling; he spread his arms, and his voice spread across the four seas and eight directions.

“Living beings of the Primordial Land, all who have attained wisdom can become part of the Yao Race and enjoy the protection of the Yao Race's Luck. The Heavenly Court shall be the ancestor of all Yao!”

This declaration was like a clap of thunder, making the blood of all the Yao present boil with excitement.

Bai Ze was the first to kneel and worship, shouting, “Yao Emperor, Your Majesty!”

Ji Meng, Ying Zhao, and other great Yao followed closely, shouting in unison, “Eastern Emperor, Your Majesty!”

On the Primordial Land, countless Yao spontaneously worshipped toward the direction of the Heavenly Court, causing the river of Luck to change its course.

Dijun's eyes burned brightly as he looked toward the boundless firmament.

Establishing the Yao Race was only the first step; his ambitions went far beyond this.

One day, he would let the Yao Race's Luck overshadow the Primordial Land, let the Heavenly Court's authority stand above all races, and ascend to the position of the true Heavenly Emperor.

...

On Penglai Immortal Island, inside the main hall of the Immortal Court.

The East Duke sat upon the gilded throne of the Penglai Immortal Palace, the jade cup in his hand crushed to pieces with a crack.

The roar of the Heavenly Dao coming from outside the hall still rang in his ears; that brilliant heavenly might felt like slaps across his face.

“Fine, Dijun...”

A cold light flickered in his eyes, but a mocking sneer curled at the corner of his mouth.

“A mere Golden Crow Transformation dares to encompass all the spirits of the Primordial Land and crown them with the name ‘Yao Race’!”

The East Duke's Divine Sense swept over the trembling plant Essence Spirits within the borders of Penglai.

These beings, who should have been subjects of his Immortal Court, now had their Bloodline stirred because of that golden light of the Heavenly Dao.

But on second thought, he sneered again: “He doesn't even understand the principle that biting off more than one can chew is unwise...”

In the East Duke's eyes, Dijun's move seemed to swallow mountains and rivers, but in reality, he was digging his own grave.

As the head of male immortals personally appointed by the Saint, even he only won over and subdued various races step by step.

For someone like Dijun to take in all the myriad races of the Primordial Land at once, the step was simply too large.

“Furthermore...” The East Duke rose and walked to the cloud terrace outside the hall, looking down at the churning waves of the East Sea and the army of ten thousand immortals undergoing drills.

The current Immortal Court was growing stronger; its prestige within the East Sea had already surpassed the Dragon Clan, becoming a hegemon-like existence in this region.

The East Duke would not be confined to this East Sea region either.

Instead, he was preparing to sharpen his weapons and feed his horses, taking the first step in his quest for unification—expanding his influence from the East Sea to the four seas and eight directions.

He just happened to be unable to find a target to establish his authority.

Now, it was perfect; the Heavenly Court and the Yao Race had jumped out.

“Then we shall fight!”

The East Duke had absolute confidence in himself.

Not to mention that the Immortal Court had him, the head of male immortals; his very existence represented the word ‘orthodoxy.’

Legally and logically, he held the advantage.

More importantly, the establishment of the Immortal Court was much earlier than that of the Heavenly Court and the Yao Race.

After such a long period of development, the foundation of the Immortal Court was by no means something Dijun's Heavenly Court could compare to.

“The Heavenly Court will eventually be trampled under my feet!”

Thinking of this, the East Duke suddenly laughed out loud.

Just then, the Formation beneath the feet of the ten thousand drilling immortals unfolded—a grand Formation composed of ten thousand immortals, containing infinite power.

This was his greatest source of confidence.
