117: Chapter 117 Brainwashing and Abuse Completes Public Opinion Reversal

Although this era is no longer a time when public intellectuals are everywhere,

There are still quite a few remnants of them.

And for a long time, they have been constantly brainwashing the people of Dragon Kingdom,

Saying things like the air abroad is sweet,

The moon abroad is rounder,

Everything from abroad is the best,

Including language and aesthetics!

So many people really did feel,

That as the CEO and boss of such a large company,

Not being able to speak basic foreign languages clearly,

Was just "low"!

To be high-end,

One had to adopt foreign aesthetics!

Therefore, although Ideal deployed many water armies in this war of words,

Many netizens truly felt that Bai Jingqing was too low.

This viewpoint even gained the upper hand,

And many people started labeling Mi Fans and Huayao fans as "diaosi".

Seeing the doubts about Huayao increasing,

If the situation continued to ferment, the impact on Huayao's brand would clearly be irreversible.

After all, Huayao's PR team was still young,

Having only been established for a short while,

With relatively little experience,

They were a bit undecided at this time.

Currently, Bai Jingqing was indeed working hard to build himself into the company's spiritual leader.

He wasn't responsible for specific affairs,

But was only responsible for the company's direction.

Any department in the company with a difficult problem would come to seek his opinion.

So, Huayao's PR team asked Bai Jingqing for instructions at this time.

Bai Jingqing heard about this,

But didn't focus on it first.

Instead, he asked, "Hmm?

Didn't the staff in India tell me back then that there were no recordings of that entire launch event?

Where did this recording come from?"

However, after watching the recording,

Bai Jingqing understood why the staff had said that.

He was also speechless,

He hadn't realized he looked so silly on stage!

He didn't feel that way when he was on stage,

He only felt that the audience below was very enthusiastic.

But looking back at this recording now,

He also felt very embarrassed.

To think he actually felt he was speaking fluently and eloquently in English,

And must have conquered many of the audience members!

Turning his focus back to this public opinion storm,

It was clear that someone was deliberately smearing him again,

Smearing Huayao Communications.

He didn't even have to think to know who it was.

Bai Jingqing immediately issued an instruction: "No Huayao staff members are allowed to join this war of words!"

There were many Huayao employees with hot tempers,

Including some executives,

Who had already started blasting people on Weibo.

But hearing this instruction from Bai Jingqing,

They could only delete the content they had posted on Weibo.

But they still felt aggrieved and stifled in their hearts!

One by one, they came to ask Bai Jingqing.

"Boss Little Bai, are we really not going to argue with them?

Are we really going to let them smear us like this?

I really can't swallow this anger!"

Bai Jingqing could only reply: "If we, Huayao, personally enter the fray,

And argue until our faces are red and necks are thick,

That would be falling into their trap,

And satisfying their wishes.

It would confirm the claim that Huayao is 'low'."

Many people were very dissatisfied with this: "So we just wait to be cursed at?

I'm not willing to accept this!"

Bai Jingqing smiled faintly: "Huayao staff cannot join,

But I didn't say the water army couldn't join."

These people immediately understood,

So Huayao bought many more water army accounts to counter those trolls.

However, no matter how much they countered,

Huayao was still the one at a disadvantage.

Many people would definitely believe it,

Thinking that Huayao Phone is just low,

And that those who use Huayao are all "diaosi".

Once this concept takes root in people's minds,

It would be very difficult to reverse.

Bai Jingqing really didn't have much of a solution for this,

He could only think about letting the products speak for themselves in the future,

Letting strength do the talking.

However, a turning point soon appeared.

After seeing this video of Bai Jingqing, a content creator on Bilibili

Had a burst of inspiration,

And created a Kichiku video

Titled "Are You OK".

At first, he just simply released it online,

But he didn't expect it to go viral!

In less than a month,

The view count exceeded twenty million!

This song was just too catchy,

Many people listened to it over and over again,

It was almost like an addiction.

Soon, a Huayao staff member discovered this Kichiku video,

And forwarded it to Bai Jingqing.

After Bai Jingqing watched the Kichiku video,

He was also amazed.

Netizens really were hidden dragons and crouching tigers;

They're all damn geniuses!

He soon had an idea

That might be able to turn the current public opinion around.

Under Bai Jingqing's instruction,

Huayao officially bought the copyright to this song,

To use it as one of the default ringtones for the xiaomi phone.

Suddenly,

On the streets, in the subways, and on the buses,

The ringtone "Hello, thank you, thank you very much..." would ring out from time to time.

Whenever this ringtone sounded,

People around couldn't help but smile knowingly.

For a Kichiku song like this,

You could say it's low,

You could say it's unrefined,

But it's truly catchy!

Many people ordered the xiaomi phone directly,

Just for this ringtone.

Even many who didn't use the xiaomi phone

Switched to this ringtone one after another.

In this way, many bystanders became fans because of this Kichiku video,

And started speaking up for Xiaomi on Weibo.

"What's low about this?

I think the xiaomi phone is quite good!

Even the boss of Xiaomi personally recorded a theme song for us."

"I'm just following a pop star.

Buying a xiaomi phone is just buying Boss Little Bai's merchandise.

What did I do wrong to be called a 'diaosi' by those people?

By the way, when is Boss Little Bai releasing a new album?

Any plans to aim for a Grammy?"

"This is the most dedicated and down-to-earth boss I've ever seen,

He's even willing to personally record a theme song for the phone!

If you want to call me a 'diaosi', then so be it.

There are so many people in Dragon Kingdom,

Aren't 'diaosi' the majority?

He who wins the diaosi wins the world!

Support Xiaomi!

Enough said, if I don't listen to 'Are You OK' for a minute,

I feel like ants are crawling all over me."

...

With the addition of many bystanders,

More and more people supported Xiaomi and Huayao.

It even directly achieved a reversal;

Looking around, the voices saying Xiaomi was low were instead drowned out.

Xue Haixin never imagined

That Bai Jingqing would find a way to break the deadlock again!

They called him low,

And he turned around and created a down-to-earth persona for himself.

Seeing so many people defending him online,

Xue Haixin couldn't help but nod: "Hmm,

It really is a case of 'he who wins the diaosi wins the world'."

Bai Jingqing saw many netizens urging him to release a new album,

And couldn't help but shake his head with a wry smile.

He also joined Bilibili,

And did a joint submission with the creator of that Kichiku video,

While also supporting everyone's secondary creations related to Huayao.

If they were good, Huayao might even buy them out.

For this 'Are You OK' Kichiku video,

Bai Jingqing bought the copyright for 1 million.

Many people said Boss Little Bai had great vision.

For a time, secondary creations about Huayao and Bai Jingqing kept emerging.

Bai Jingqing: I suppose this counts as releasing a new album as the netizens requested.
