87: Chapter 87: Three Ministers Experience Bluetooth Headphones, Taking the First Step into the Era of the Internet of Things

As more and more people joined the discussion,

this matter quickly set off a craze within the country,

and even more people became aware of it.

A large part of this was due to xiaomi phone fans spreading the word online,

and it could be said that the power of these true fans was even greater than that of paid internet trolls.

Naturally, this matter also caught the attention of Ideal Technology.

Ideal Technology had already spoken on the phone with Xue Haixin, who was currently in Barcelona.

After learning that Ideal Technology hadn't even won a single award,

the board of directors at Ideal Technology was extremely disappointed and furious.

"I want an explanation for the board when you get back!"

Xue Haixin's heart was indeed very uneasy right now;

he hadn't yet figured out how he should report back to the company.

Facing the increasingly intense public opinion,

Ideal Technology also quickly took action.

They had to nip the idea that the xiaomi 6 was amazing in the bud;

otherwise, the ideal a9 would definitely fail to outsell the xiaomi 6 again when the time came.

Ideal Technology also quickly hired a large number of internet trolls

to start swaying public opinion online.

"It's not just me,

but seeing you all praising the xiaomi 6,

I think you're all being a bit irrational.

Have none of you thought about it?

What is the actual use of this Curved screen?"

"I think the direction of making screens curved is wrong.

On one hand, it doesn't increase the display content,

and on the other hand, because of the structure of Curved screens,

they are definitely more prone to damage.

There's another very bad point:

most phones nowadays need tempered glass screen protectors,

but how do you apply a tempered glass protector to a Curved screen?

You can't exactly make the tempered glass curved too, can you?

Because of its own structure, tempered glass

simply cannot be made curved.

So this Curved screen design feels like it has all harms and no benefits.

Are we going to sacrifice so many things just to make it look high-end?"

"That's true,

the analysis above is very reasonable.

I think the design direction of Curved screens is wrong.

The feel of current 2.5D curved glass screens is already very good.

I don't think we need things like Curved screens at all.

Don't let yourselves be brainwashed, everyone."

However, just after hiring many trolls to start the 'Curved screens are useless' narrative online,

Ideal Technology immediately turned around and added the research and development of Curved screens to their memorandum,

instructing the R&D personnel to put Curved screen technology on the agenda.

After Bai Jingqing returned to the country,

before he even had time to visit his company,

he was stopped at the airport by staff members.

They said that three ministers wanted to meet with him,

so he could only follow them in a daze to the central reception hall.

When the three ministers first saw Bai Jingqing,

they all found it quite unbelievable.

They had already investigated and found that

Huayao Communications indeed had inextricable links with Huayao Technology.

Bai Jingqing was the boss of this Huayao Communications,

and he was also the only son of the couple who founded Huayao Technology.

But they didn't expect this Bai Jingqing to be so young—

so young it was almost excessive!

He looked to be only in his early 20s,

still like a college student.

They really didn't expect the Huayao Communications he founded to already have such technical strength.

The three ministers first expressed their congratulations to Bai Jingqing.

"Little Bai, we know all about your performance at the World Mobile Communication Congress this time.

I must say you did exceptionally well!

You've truly boosted the morale and prestige of our Dragon Kingdom!"

"Little Bai, you truly are young and promising,

committing yourself to national technological innovation at such a young age.

We've all heard that

your parents were the founders of Huayao Technology.

Now, by running Huayao Communications, you are carrying on their legacy.

Work hard, young man;

your parents' spirits in heaven will surely be very gratified!"

"He just won an award,

why do you have to bring up such unhappy things?

Little Bai, you've really done our Dragon Kingdom proud this time!

Don't worry, there will be no shortage of rewards, subsidies, and incentives!"

Bai Jingqing nodded. "Thank you for the praise, Ministers.

This was all possible thanks to the country's support for me!"

After exchanging a few more pleasantries,

the three ministers finally couldn't hold back anymore,

saying, "Hurry up and take out the award-winning phone and earphones,

let us see what they actually look like!"

Bai Jingqing then pulled out a pair of Xiaomi Air 2 Bluetooth earphones from his pocket.

The three of them gathered around and began to examine them.

When they saw that phone,

their reaction was even more shocked than that of the foreigners at the congress when they first saw the Curved screen!

Before those at the congress saw the dual-Curved screen,

they had already seen the single-Curved screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

With that kind of foundation,

seeing a dual-Curved screen was still considered acceptable to them.

But the three ministers usually didn't pay much attention to digital gadgets and phones,

so seeing this dual-Curved screen phone for the first time,

they were instantly stunned by its beauty!

"This is truly magical!

How can a phone screen be made curved?"

"I have to say,

after making the phone screen curved,

it does look a bit more high-end!"

"The feel is really good!

It's as smooth as a pebble!"

Just by handling the phone for a bit,

the three ministers already felt it was very miraculous.

Then Bai Jingqing gestured for them to open the earphone case

and try wearing the earphones.

So Zhan Ruijie opened the earphone case,

took out the earphones inside, and put them in his ears.

Bai Jingqing used the phone to play a song for them,

and Zhan Ruijie's eyes instantly widened.

He very curiously took the earphones off and put them back on,

took them off and put them back on again,

finding that the song was playing the whole time.

"Is it really this magical?

What... what exactly is the principle behind this?!"

Zhan Ruijie's shock was now beyond words.

Cheng Huachang and Zhan Ruijie next to him were also watching anxiously,

so they snatched the earphones from Zhan Ruijie's hands,

each wearing one earbud.

Listening to the sound coming from the earphones,

they even used their hands to feel around between the earphones and the phone a few times,

finding no wires connecting them at all.

"In other words,

these earphones can be used even without wires!

How on earth is this done?"

"I feel that the potential and prospects for this thing are huge!"

Both of them couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

Bai Jingqing also gave them an introduction to Bluetooth 5.0 technology,

though it was only a very superficial one.

After the introduction, he added: "The application prospects for this technology are indeed very vast.

For example, the connection between phones and computers,

styluses and tablets,

keyboards and mice with computers or even phones.

This technology is currently just in its infancy,

but I believe that with further development,

it can even achieve the Internet of Everything,

bringing more convenience to our lives!"
