58: Chapter 58 Huayao Technology's Online Store Opens

With the support of many netizens,

the sales momentum of the xiaomi 5 experienced another surge.

The cash in Bai Jingqing's hands was also increasing,

and his career was truly thriving.

He had become very busy recently,

starting preparations for the online store.

He first submitted Huayao Technology's online store audit to Taobao online.

The main business was mobile phones and various electronic products,

and he took the opportunity to organize the products he currently had available for sale.

They were nothing more than the xiaomi 4, xiaomi 5,

silicone cases for both phones, Pitaka cases, and anti-blue light tempered glass screen protectors.

There was also a pair of Yuandao wired earphones,

and a 20W Rock Sugar fast charger.

For an online store,

this small selection of items indeed made the inventory look a bit thin.

However, since it had just opened,

there was no other way.

As the business expanded,

there would surely be more and more products,

and the variety would become richer.

After submitting the audit,

Bai Jingqing immediately went online to find a web designer

to help create the online store's webpage.

Regarding the webpage design,

Bai Jingqing made many requests,

aiming to make the store as consistent with future aesthetics as possible.

Unlike the skeuomorphic style prevalent now and the dizzying, unconventional designs,

under his guidance,

his store's page looked very simple and elegant,

appearing quite high-quality.

Moreover, the product categorization was very clear,

ensuring it wouldn't look messy even when there were many products in the future.

Two days later,

the online store passed the audit.

Bai Jingqing didn't hesitate

and immediately logged into his game forum account

to release an announcement.

"Brothers, the long-awaited online store is finally opening!

If you want to buy a phone in the future,

don't transfer money to me directly anymore;

please purchase through the online store!

This way, it's a bit more secure.

I guarantee the shipping speed will be the same as before.

After you place an order, we will ship as quickly as possible

to ensure the phone reaches you bosses as soon as possible.

It's currently live on Taobao,

and it will be live on other shopping platforms soon.

The store name is Huayao Technology,

and everyone is welcome to support us!"

Similarly, the game forum administrators immediately pinned this message,

and netizens spread the word upon finding out.

Many people went to Bai Jingqing's online store to check out the excitement,

and the influx of a large number of netizens in a short period made the store's popularity extremely high.

Many people saw that Bai Jingqing wasn't just selling phones in the store,

but also some accessories,

so they placed orders directly.

Even though Boss Bai had already given them a set of those accessories.

Xue Haixin naturally noticed the opening of Bai Jingqing's online store,

so he also casually opened Taobao on his phone to take a look.

"The store name is Huayao Technology,

it seems this kid still hasn't given up on his ambitions,

he still wants to revitalize Huayao Technology?

Or is it just to ride on the name of Huayao Technology?"

Xue Haixin muttered,

then opened the product interface,

finding that there were only two phone models currently on sale.

"xiaomi 4, snapdragon 801 processor,

12-megapixel rear camera,

8-megapixel front camera with beauty effects.

xiaomi 5, snapdragon 820 processor,

12-megapixel rear camera,

8-megapixel front camera with beauty effects.

This... isn't this the same?"

Xue Haixin carefully compared the two phones,

and was surprised to find that the xiaomi 5 and xiaomi 4 were indeed mostly the same,

with only an upgraded processor.

There were basically no major changes to anything else,

even the appearance was identical.

"This shows the kid probably has no other cards left,

otherwise, why wouldn't he even change the appearance?"

Xue Haixin seemed to already see the scene:

back then, Bai Jingqing was at his wit's end,

and finally took a gamble on the snapdragon 820 processor.

Now it seemed the gamble was successful,

and he had probably made a lot of money from this phone.

No, he sold a lot, sure,

but is he really not selling at a loss?

Xue Haixin looked at the prices,

one for 1999,

the other for 2999,

which gave him a headache just looking at them.

He remembered what Pang Xietang had told him that day,

that this kid seemed crazy,

selling such high specifications at such a low price,

it was simply ridiculous!

If it wasn't because the kid was crazy,

there was really no way to explain it.

Browsing down casually,

he discovered that Bai Jingqing actually had other products in the shop!

"What is this?

Pitaka phone case?

What kind of messy name is that?

It looks like a transliteration of a foreign word.

Holy crap!

This phone case is actually selling for two hundred yuan!

What the hell kind of phone case is this?

How can it be sold so expensively?!

And this Rock Sugar charger,

it actually costs 79!

Aren't chargers usually included for free with the phone?

He actually dares to sell it so expensively!

Yuandao wired earphones?

Never heard of this brand,

and they only sell for 9.9.

Such a low price must be pure industrial trash,

and he actually puts them up for sale?"

As he continued browsing,

Xue Haixin let out one exclamation after another.

In his view,

these accessories were truly just for fleecing customers!

Seeing this, Xue Haixin finally had an epiphany.

He finally understood.

"So that's how it is!

So that's how it is!

I finally know how he makes money!

No wonder he sells the phones at such a low price.

The money he loses on the phones,

he intends to make back from these phone accessories!"

Bai Jingqing's Huayao Technology online store had been open for less than an hour,

and over 100 of those Pitaka phone cases had already been sold!

And more than 500 of those Yuandao earphones had been sold!

This sales speed could be said to be very fast,

and Xue Haixin was a bit envious looking at it.

"Jie jie jie jie, kid,

I've finally caught you red-handed again!

Let's see how you deal with it this time!"

So he immediately arranged for his company's publicity team to continue stirring up trouble online.

"Boss Bai's online store is open.

I went to take a look right away,

and I didn't expect it to be such a scam!

The phones are indeed very cheap at 1999 and 2999,

but that Pitaka phone case

actually costs two hundred yuan?!

Is this phone case made of gold or silver?

Will anyone really spend 200 yuan to buy a phone case?

Isn't this just pure scamming?"

"And those Yuandao earphones,

a generic brand I've never heard of,

he's selling them for 9.9!

I suspect these are just garbage that manufacturers can't even give away,

the kind that no one would pick up even if they were thrown on the street."

"The phones are indeed sold very cheaply,

but aren't these accessories a bit too much of a scam!

He's completely treating us like sheep to be shorn with these accessories!

A 200-yuan phone case,

a 79-yuan charger,

things that are usually included for free when you buy a phone,

he's actually treating them like treasures!

It's better to buy an Ideal phone,

which comes with a free charger, a free phone case, and free earphones."

...

They posted hundreds of such threads in one go,

and then Xue Haixin smugly waited to see the forum users criticize Bai Jingqing for fleecing them.

Selling these garbage accessories at such high prices

is exactly that!

This time he wanted to see how these netizens would defend Bai Jingqing!

But soon the publicity team staff discovered

that the threads they posted had been hidden!

When they tried to post more,

the forum prompted them with 'illegal user'!

They had been directly banned by the forum administrators!

The staff realized something was wrong

and immediately reported it to Xue Haixin.

Xue Haixin's face grew worse and worse,

what a bunch of idiots!

They can't even handle such a small matter!
