61: Deep Space Echoes and Reconstruction Blueprint

Platform Zero-Seven became a tranquil island in the eye of the storm. Time seemed to lose its meaning here; only the stable, prolonged pulse of the logic anchor, like an eternal heartbeat, marked the passage of time. On the platform, the rhythm of rebirth and reconstruction proceeded in an orderly fashion.

Lin Mo immersed himself in the deep interaction of rules and matter. He was no longer content with mere repair and enhancement, but began to systematically explore the boundaries of "Information Weaving." Utilizing the platform's infrastructure and the almost infinite knowledge base provided by the logic anchor, he successfully stabilized the formula for "order alloy" and derived several variants: "Spirit Silver," focused on energy conduction; "Ink Steel," specialized in structural toughness; and "resonance gold," capable of subtly amplifying psionic effects. These new materials were continuously produced for the deep modification of the Ark of Order.

The ark, at this moment, was no longer the battered escape vessel it once was. Most of its armor had been replaced with silver-gray order alloy, making its lines smoother and its structure sturdier, with faint patterns of rules flowing across its surface. The engines were redesigned, integrating the high efficiency of geothermal energy with the flexibility of psionic drive, and fine silver-blue light particles occasionally emanated from the tail nozzles. The most significant change was at the bow—a bud-shaped device, constructed from multiple layers of order alloy and resonance gold, had been added. This was Lin Mo's prototype "Order Projector," capable of launching the seed of order he condensed, or small-scale Logical Closed Loops, in a more stable and precise manner.

Wu Yong and Xiao Li almost entirely devoted their energy to the ark's modification. They were no longer the panicked technicians and assistants they once were; under Lin Mo's guidance and practical training, they had grown into qualified engineers and pilots, capable of independently completing most ship system maintenance and upgrades. Looking at this reborn ark, which embodied their hard work and hope, their eyes were filled with pride.

Ling Shuang's recovery took a different path. Aided by the "Serene Totem" and nourished by the orderly environment of the logic anchor, her psionic energy not only fully recovered but also underwent a qualitative change. The merged silver origin completely fused with her own blue psionic energy, forming a more refined, metallic-lustered "Stellar Silver Psionic Energy." She no longer relied solely on her short staff but could condense psionic energy with bare hands, constructing more complex and sturdy barriers and runes. She began to systematically organize and deduce the psionic knowledge and combat techniques of old-era powerhouses, obtained from the silver origin, attempting to reconstruct a complete psionic cultivation and combat system better suited to the current environment.

In one corner of the platform, she meticulously carved a complex meditation matrix with psionic energy, at its center hovered a constantly rotating psionic core, forged by her own hands from "resonance gold"—this was the prototype of the "Psionic Amplifier" she designed for herself.

Everything was developing in a good direction.

However, Lin Mo did not indulge in this brief tranquility. He often stood at the edge of the platform, his gaze penetrating the soft light curtain, cast beyond the logic anchor's structure, into the deep space still tinged with the residual colors of the tide of delusion. The power of the editor and information-side fragment, combined with the macroscopic data provided by the anchor, allowed him to "read" the "health status" of the distant universe from a perspective beyond physical distance.

He "saw" that although the stability of the logic anchor prevented the world's complete collapse, the residual influence of the tide of delusion still lingered in vast star regions. Like scars after an infection, the rules in those areas remained fragile, Corruptors were still breeding, and sporadic pollution incidents, like sparks in the dark night, could reignite at any moment. Further away, some faint but definite signals of order (possibly other fragments or survivors) flickered like candles in the wind.

"We have secured the cornerstone, but rebuilding our home requires cleaning the entire house," Lin Mo said to Ling Shuang, Wu Yong, and Xiao Li during a core team meeting. Su Xi was still in deep life support, but her vital signs were stable, and Lin Mo found that under the influence of the orderly environment, her body seemed to be undergoing some very slow, beneficial mutation, perhaps bringing unexpected changes when she awoke.

"We need intelligence; we need to understand the distribution of the tide of delusion's residual forces; we need to find other potential sparks of order or anchor fragments," Lin Mo brought up a situation map, generated by the editor in conjunction with anchor data, covering the known star regions, marked with various dangerous areas and unknown signal points.

"The ark's modification is nearing completion; we have initial deep-space navigation capabilities," Wu Yong reported on the progress, "The new engine's endurance and speed far exceed the old model, and the defense system is sufficient to handle conventional rule turbulence and small-scale Corruptor groups."

"My psionic system is also initially stable and can handle high-intensity combat and exploration missions," Ling Shuang added, a wisp of Stellar Silver Psionic Energy flowing like a living thing at her fingertips.

Just then, the editor suddenly emitted an unusual notification sound, not an alarm, but a signal indicating the reception of a specific format of information.

"Detecting a high-priority, non-repetitive information stream from deep space. Encoding format: Old-era pan-universal civilization emergency communication protocol (revised edition 7). Information source direction: Orion Arm branch, K-77 Nebula direction. Information status: Extremely weak, intermittent, continuously decaying."

Deep-space communication?! Old-era standard protocol?!

Everyone's spirits lifted! Besides them and the Spirit Craftsmen, were there other organized survivors? And did they possess interstellar communication technology?

"Attempt to parse information content! Enhance signal reception!" Lin Mo immediately ordered.

The editor and information-side fragment operated at full capacity, combining with the vast computational resources provided by the logic anchor, to capture, amplify, and decode the faint information stream that was almost dissipating into the cosmic background noise.

The process was difficult; the signal was too weak and severely interfered with by the remnants of the tide of delusion. Intermittent characters and fragmented voice clips jumped across the screen:

"...This is... the 'Dawn'... deep-space research vessel..."

"...encountered unknown... rule storm... engine damaged... life support..."

...coordinates... (a string of blurry star map data)... repeating... request... any recipient of this signal... order faction... assistance..."

...we are carrying... the 'Ark Project'... final database... backup..."

...warning... beware... the 'Shadow Kin'... they are... hunting..."

...signal... about to... cut off..."

The information abruptly stopped there; no matter how the editor tried, it could no longer capture any valid signal.

The cabin was silent.

"Dawn"... deep-space research vessel... "Ark Project" final database... "Shadow Kin"... every word contained a huge amount of information!

"They're alive! But the situation is critical!" Xiao Li said excitedly.

"The Ark Project's final database!" Wu Yong's eyes lit up, "That might contain the most cutting-edge technology of the old era, and possibly... clues about the origin of the tide of delusion!"

"And those 'Shadow Kin'..." Ling Shuang frowned, "They sound like some kind of derivative of the shadow of devouring, or... another threat we haven't yet known?"

Lin Mo gazed at the blurry coordinate data that had finally frozen on the screen; the editor was working at full capacity to correct and extrapolate.

This was an opportunity, and also a huge risk.

The opportunity lay in potentially acquiring crucial knowledge, technology, and even new allies.

The risk lay in the K-77 Nebula direction being far from the direct influence of the logic anchor, an area where the residual forces of the tide of delusion were stronger, and an unknown threat called the "Shadow Kin" existed. With their current strength, undertaking such a long-distance deep-space rescue was tantamount to entering a tiger's den.

"editor, based on existing data, assess the feasibility of the rescue mission and generate an initial action plan."

"How much longer until the ark's final modification is complete?"

"Can our supplies and energy reserves sustain a round trip?"

Lin Mo's questions came one after another, calm and swift.

After a brief calculation and report, the situation became clear:

Rescue mission risk level: High.

ark's final modification estimated to be completed within 72 hours.

Energy reserves are sufficient but need careful management.

Initial action route planned, requiring passage through three rule-disorder zones marked as "medium risk."

Everyone's gaze was focused on Lin Mo.

He did not make an immediate decision but looked again at the string of coordinates, as if he could penetrate the endless void and see the "Dawn" sending out a desperate distress signal.

Then, he looked at his companions, at the Ark of Order that was about to be reborn, and finally, his gaze met Ling Shuang's firm and trusting eyes.

"Prepare to depart," Lin Mo's voice broke the silence, carrying an unyielding resolve, "Target: K-77 Nebula, rescue the 'Dawn'."

A spark not only needs to be guarded but also actively ignited to illuminate even greater darkness.

A new journey lay ahead.
