112: Chapter 112: God has truly been calculated!

"It still doesn't work!" a graduate student murmured softly.

Professor Guan exhaled a deep breath of murky air. "Why does it still not work?"

The setting of a 5,000-year lifespan, when combined, resulted in a child who withered rapidly and could not live past eighteen.

This was nothing like the demigod from mythology: Gilgamesh's several hundred years.

"The threshold might need to be raised... or our approach of strengthening the sperm's genes was fundamentally wrong!"

Professor Wu analyzed with a contemplative expression, "Perhaps the advantage of a god isn't reinforcement like ours, but a completely new reinforcement system at the genetic layer. The biological limit of a carbon-based organism is basically around 120 years. One could assume that gods were also humans at the start; as their technology advanced, they were able to conduct deep space travel, and the probability that their individual genes were gradually modified is 100%!"

"In that case, we must switch to a higher-dimensional direction and reset the model parameters!"

"Perhaps you're right!"

Professor Guan remained silent for a long time, then suddenly looked up, his eyes flashing as he stared at the soul-crushed Li Mo.

Sensing the ill-intentioned gaze, Li Mo's body suddenly stiffened, and he waved his hands repeatedly. "I can't do it anymore, Professor. There's really nothing left. You asked for it three times just now; I'm completely empty!"

As soon as these words were spoken, Professor Guan's eyes shifted, and his expression became a bit strange. Why did Little Li's words sound so odd...

Asked for it three times within dozens of minutes, and he's already been drained?

This sentence caused the allies in the computer room to fall silent instantly.

"Pfft!" Someone finally couldn't help but burst out laughing; it was Student Wang.

He quickly covered his mouth, while the others and Professor Wu turned their heads away, their bodies visibly trembling as they suppressed their laughter.

Looking at Li Mo's exhausted state, Professor Guan also knew he had indeed reached his limit. He sighed and patted Li Mo's shoulder. "You've worked hard. Go and rest."

And then!

Under the astonished gazes of everyone present, Professor Guan took a phone and a new tube and walked toward the restroom with a look of fearless determination.

"Old Guan, you?" Professor Wu looked bewildered. "What are you going to do?"

"Plan B." Professor Guan walked toward the restroom with a resolute face. "The data must be continuous, so I will provide the next sample. You all continue modifying the parameters; I'll be back soon."

Everyone gave Professor Guan a thumbs-up, feeling deep admiration.

Li Mo watched Professor Guan's departing back with mixed emotions.

On one hand, he was relieved to be free, but on the other, the thought of the professor doing it himself was a mental image he didn't dare to dwell on!

Five minutes later, Professor Guan walked back holding the sealed tube. His face was calm, as if he had just taken a very relaxing stroll.

He placed the sample onto the scanning instrument.

"I've been thinking, and I know where the problem lies." His voice was very calm. "The path we took before might have been wrong. We've been using reinforced human genetic data and then forcing it into chimpanzees. This is like hitching an ox to the front of a top-tier sports car; it's definitely not going to run fast!"

Professor Guan pulled up a new interface. "Perhaps the method gods used to create workers wasn't reinforcement and hybridization, but rather re-editing. It wasn't putting an ox in front of a Ferrari; it was redesigning the 'God Gene' so its functions could run stably within Earth's environment."

"So, the strategy now is to not only strengthen the human genes but also modify the chimpanzee genes—bidirectional strengthening."

Hearing this, Professor Wu's eyes lit up. "This line of thinking is good. It's similar to modern synthetic biology. You want the computer to simulate the process of bidirectional strengthening itself. In short, it's [Compatibility]!"

"Exactly!" Professor Guan nodded solemnly. "But this requires guidance. We don't know the specific goals and technologies of the gods, but we humans have the [vague descriptions] from myths passed down for thousands of years."

At the console, Professor Guan unlocked the external network for the Quantum Supercomputer—

Inside were the mythological texts, images, and writings of ancient civilizations from all over the world, all of which were being digitally input into the supercomputer one by one.

He even filtered for the characteristics of god-made humans in global myths—lifespan, abilities, what they did, what they built, how they interacted with humans—and even input the reference information revealed in Jiang Zhe's livestream, letting the supercomputer learn and simulate the gods on its own.

"I'm feeding these mythological materials to the supercomputer as targets and conditions."

Professor Guan said contemplatively, "Then, we'll set the hypothesis for the final generation's lifespan. Not five hundred or five thousand, but fifty thousand years—or even longer!"

"Let the supercomputer find clues within the global mythological data: offspring that can work, are intelligent, live longer than animals, and are capable of secondary reproduction. Let the supercomputer integrate the gene-editing plan itself."

"This is equivalent to letting the supercomputer conduct a massive virtual computational experiment with mythology as the clue and the creation of stable hybrid life as the goal. It might produce thousands of permutations and combinations until it finds one or several core functions that can relatively stably support the [50,000-year template] within the chimpanzee framework, creating a second-generation biological similar to Lulu."

Hearing this, Professor Wu gasped. "This is playing way too big!"

This was no different from using global mythology as the logic for thinking and then letting the supercomputer discern the truth and falsehood of those myths...

This was simply... a stroke of genius!

"Therefore!" Professor Guan's gaze was resolute. "I just applied for top-level emergency computing on the grounds that it involves a major scientific discovery, and it was approved."

Old Wu's expression was a bit strange. You were making a phone call at the same time you were taking your sample just now...

Watch your health!

Professor Guan no longer hesitated. He integrated his own latest sample data with the chimpanzee egg data, set the sperm's lifespan to 50,000 years, and used the global mythology database as an auxiliary simulation for the Quantum Supercomputer.

Finally, after inputting a series of data, the final simulation was launched!

Vroom, vroom, vroom~~

The lights in the computer room dimmed instantly as all the supercomputer fans began to spin at high speed.

The main screen was no longer a stream of data; instead, countless genomic maps appeared. Innumerable paths representing different editing attempts were extending, colliding, disappearing, or merging.

Keywords from mythology were constantly being converted by the supercomputer into a language the machine could understand, automatically modifying the direction at any time.

A massive digital storm had begun.

Everyone present watched with bated breath.

Time slipped away, and the red failure paths on the screen far outnumbered the successful green ones.

Ten minutes... twenty-five minutes... fifty minutes... two hours.

Just as three hours passed and everyone was starting to doze off, losing all hope—

In the center of the screen, a massive green path suddenly burst with brilliant light!

This time it didn't fail; instead, it continued to extend and interweave, eventually forming a self-sustaining genomic model of brand-new simulated data.

Immediately following this, based on that model, the supercomputer rapidly simulated the process of a life being born.

Finally, several lines of bold green text slowly emerged in the middle of the screen.

[Based on the supercomputer's self-exploration of the input global mythological data, using the material from the donor, Professor Guan Jingming—with a natural lifespan of approximately 31,500 years, plus or minus a margin of error of 2,000 years—the simulation has successfully produced a hybrid model capable of stably inheriting core appearance, skeletal structure, and organs.]

[During the hybridization process, this model manifests as: strong, intelligent, with gradually increasing learning capacity. Estimated natural lifespan: approximately 120 years, far exceeding early chimpanzees and the hominids prior to the transition era.]

[Tentatively designated as the Second-generation Humanoid: Nunu!]

[Nunu—]

[Strength: 2.7, Average Person: 1]

[Intelligence: 2.6]

[Agility: 2.3]

[Constitution: 2.9]

[Lifespan: 120 years, reinforcement possible]

[Evaluation: Nunu is the optimal human model, far exceeding all modern humans!]

[Model Fit: This result is highly logically self-consistent with the description of 'Creating Humans from Yellow Clay' in mythology. Key Note: Guan Jingming must provide genetic material with a minimum lifespan of 31,500 years to achieve Nunu's birth. Once the value falls below this, Nunu's lifespan will shorten drastically until collapse!]

Then, following several "ding" sounds, a photo of a 1.9-meter-tall humanoid with a cold, handsome face and bulging muscles appeared on the supercomputer's main screen.

The computer room fell into a dead silence as everyone stared at this incredible scene in stunned amazement.
