153: Chapter 153: Every Black Hole is a Universe!

Under Xiaoyu's curious gaze, Jiang Zhe picked up the tablet and searched for a picture of the starry universe.

Aiming the tablet at Xiaoyu, she leaned in to look at this brilliant yet heart-palpitatingly vast starry sky—countless points of light and nebulae intertwined, with pure black regions invisible to the naked eye hidden within the luminous bodies of countless galaxies and nebulae.

"Brother, why are you showing me this?"

Jiang Zhe's finger lightly tapped on a [black circular] region on the tablet.

"They have always been here."

"Parallel universes are in the starry sky we see every night when we look up—they have always been hidden within the brilliant cosmos!"

Xiaoyu stared at the black hole her brother was pointing at, finding it a bit hard to understand.

"Every black hole..." Jiang Zhe's finger slid across the countless black holes on the tablet, "is a parallel universe."

"Some universes are young with active event horizons; some are old with expansion nearly at a standstill; some have physical laws slightly different from ours; and in some universes, the concept of [light] might not exist at all..."

Jiang Zhe looked up, his gaze falling on Xiaoyu's frozen face.

"Xiaoyu, we don't live in [a universe], but rather in [a giant black hole universe]."

"Every black hole in this starry sky, regardless of size, could be a parallel universe... enveloping countless stars and life!"

"Parallel universes have never been far away." He slowly put down the tablet, his expression gradually turning serious, "They are right there, existing in the form of black holes within our universe; and our universe might also exist in the form of a black hole within another even grander mother universe's starry sky."

Having reached this point in his explanation, he stopped.

If he continued, the universe would be one ring after another, and they wouldn't get any sleep tonight!

The stream viewers, who had been listening with bated breath, sent a surge of bullet comments upon hearing this shocking statement!

????

"Holy crap, our brother's imagination is just too groundbreaking!"

"My ears must be failing me. It was one thing to be on the surface of a super black hole's event horizon, but how is every black hole a new universe?"

"So when we look at the stars, are we actually looking at the [surfaces] of countless universes?"

"So theoretically, if we could jump into the supermassive black hole in the Milky Way, we would be entering another universe? After all, Einstein said the inside of a black hole might be a [ring] doughnut!"

"To the person above, you can't pass through parallel universes; you'd turn into information soup as soon as you went in, so forget about entering!"

"The more I think about it, the scarier it gets. If the black holes in our universe are other universes, then intelligent life in those other universes, or even the mother universe, wouldn't be able to see us either. They would only see where we are as a very large black hole?"

"To the person above, your theory is the truth!"

"Damn, nesting dolls, it's definitely infinite nesting dolls!!!"

The stream viewers were so stunned by Jiang Zhe's thoughts that their jaws dropped.

If someone else had said this, they would have been utterly disdainful, but this is our brother!!!

He always starts from theory!!

Meanwhile, in the Principal's office.

Physics teacher Old Yu's mind, which had just calmed down, was blown again by Jiang Zhe, and his eyes were glued to the big screen.

"The black hole is the universe, and the universe is a black hole..."

"Is he using the most intuitive way to describe the nested structure of the [multiverse]?"

Principal Fu couldn't help but look at Old Yu, "What's wrong? This must be nonsense, right?"

Old Yu narrowed his eyes, his expression serious, "This isn't nonsense. It's... there's a high probability that what he's saying is true!"

As those words fell, Principal Fu's neck shrank back. Old Wang, Xiao Wang, and the other teachers looked at each other, all seeing the disbelief on each other's faces.

"This is absolutely insane!"

...

In the lounge of Huaqing University.

The physics students looked at each other and gasped.

Even so, their eyes were filled with fanaticism; tonight was definitely not a waste.

They had grown numb to accepting physical laws, thinking they would just be ordinary physicists for the rest of their lives.

They didn't expect such an unexpected harvest tonight.

"Yes!" A bespectacled top student from a wealthy family pumped his fist, "Xiaoyu's brother, I love you to death; you're definitely not someone who would drop out of high school; you're even more amazing than Professor Ouyang and Old Wu!"

After speaking, he stood up and scanned his fellow students with an arrogant look, "I've said my piece. Who agrees, and who objects?"

The twenty-odd students whispered for a second before all raising their hands.

Even Li Mo and Guan Jingming, after glancing at Professor Ouyang and Old Wu, raised their hands with mischievous grins.

Professor Wu had no time to deal with these youngsters. He had wanted to object, but after thinking about the seven-word mantra—'no curvature, feels like a circle'...

He lost all strength to resist.

"Damn it, I shouldn't have accepted his seven-word mantra: 'no curvature, feels like a circle'. Once you accept that, every black hole you look at now feels like a universe of various sizes!"

Professor Ouyang took a deep breath, "If this hypothesis holds, then the direction for searching for extraterrestrial civilizations might not just be looking at planets, but rather considering whether the information erupting from some black holes stores intelligent information or signals!!!"

Li Mo and Professor Guan looked at each other, both shrinking their necks in awe.

...

Inside Qingfeng Temple.

Looking at Jiang Zhe on the big screen, Zheng Ming had a strange expression, looking like he wanted to say something but held back, "Damn it, I'm tired, let it all be destroyed!"

Celestial Master Zhang said, "A world in a flower, a Bodhi in a leaf..."

Wang Chongyang took a sip of hot tea, moistened his throat, and nodded deeply.

He suddenly felt that the national studies and metaphysical principles he had studied all his life, in the face of Jiang Zhe's sharp and self-consistent theory...

Seemed a bit lacking!

On the big screen, in the living room, on the sofa.

Xiaoyu stared at the black hole marks on the tablet, her breathing gradually quickening and becoming excited.

"Brother!" She suddenly looked up, her beautiful eyes sparkling: "If every black hole is a universe, then in other universes, is there also an Earth, also me, and countless versions of you and me?"

Jiang Zhe nodded slowly and suddenly smiled.

"Hmm..."

"According to the laws of information arrangement, yes."

"As long as the universe is large enough and time is long enough, any specific combination of a person's information has a high probability of repeating."

"In other black hole universes, there could theoretically be a [Jiang Xiaoyu] who looks like you, has memories like you, and is even asking her brother the same thing at this very moment!"

Xiaoyu gasped.

But then Jiang Zhe changed his tone and lightly tapped her head.

"But, Xiaoyu, those 'yous' have absolutely no connection to the 'you' sitting in front of me!"

"It's like you're playing a single-player game, and this game can run on ten thousand computers at the same time; every screen has an [identical protagonist]; but can you say the protagonist fighting monsters in a Kyoto net cafe and the one in a Shanghai cafe are the [same person]?"

Jiang Zhe's gaze was calm as he explained slowly.

"They have their own storylines, their own save files, and will never meet."

"If you cough, it won't make the other [you] on the screen catch a cold; your racing heart right now, your worry about exams, your pondering over whether to have a cheat meal—these real moments belong only to you."

"So the Xiaoyu in the parallel universe is just a possibility; while the Xiaoyu sitting here listening to her brother..."

"Is the fact that is happening. Cherishing this fact is what you should do!"

Jiang Zhe's words caused the fervent hearts of Xiaoyu and countless stream viewers to suddenly calm down.

Even so, the riddles of the universe seemed like interlocking rings; as soon as one was solved, another followed.

Since black holes can swallow everything, where did the swallowed things... go?

Could it be that black holes just keep swallowing?

This most simple and unadorned question almost instinctively surfaced in Xiaoyu's mind.

Xiaoyu frowned, her gaze unconsciously falling outside the window—in the night, many stars were twinkling.

"Brother!" Xiaoyu's gaze returned to Jiang Zhe in the room, "If black holes are entrances and swallow things..."

"Then there must be an exit for the things they eat, right?"

"Otherwise, wouldn't the black hole burst from overeating?"

"Einstein once considered this too. He speculated that there must be a White Hole in the universe responsible for spewing out matter and energy."

"But for a hundred years, despite searching everywhere, no [White Hole] has been found!"

"Do White Holes really exist?"

As Xiaoyu finished speaking, the over eight million stream viewers sat up straight again, holding their breath.

Jiang Zhe nodded slightly, a hint of a smile appearing on his lips as he leaned back onto the sofa.

He glanced at his watch; it was past eleven at night.

"Of course... they exist!"

"If they exist, where are they?"

Jiang Zhe slowly turned his head, his gaze looking out at the starry sky. A sliver of moonlight shone on Jiang Zhe's face as he sat on the sofa in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, giving him a cold lunar glow. "Far away, yet right before your eyes!"
