37: Chapter 37: My brother visited the universe!

It wasn't just Xiao Yu who didn't understand.

Even countless viewers, teachers, and professors felt completely confused.

It wasn't that they couldn't understand, but rather...

Calculating the future is still understandable!

But how was the information that had already been extinguished in the past captured by Jiang Zhe?

In the livestream room, a massive wave of barrage comments surged in.

"Xiao Yu asked a great question. How is the past calculated?"

"Right, I've never understood it. Fortune-telling is about calculating future destiny, not the past!"

"The streamer's brother calculated a Shunfeng Shunshui past... this is getting a bit scary!"

"Explain it quickly, otherwise I won't be able to sleep tonight!"

Inside the high school dormitory building.

Old Wang, Old Zhao, and Old Wu—the hearts of the three, which had just calmed down, were stirred up once again.

Old Zhao grabbed his thinning hair and couldn't help but ask:

"The future being calculated can be attributed to deduction."

"The past is already set. How did Jiang Zhe [calculate] it?"

"Could it be that a person's history can be [accessed] by using some kind of method?"

...

In the living room of retired Professor Chen in Kyoto.

Professor Chen Runzhi nodded repeatedly, saying with fiery eyes:

"Exactly!"

"This is the key question; it has reached the core of divination."

"If he can provide a satisfactory answer to this, some of his fragmented theoretical frameworks might even form a cohesive system."

Qian Mingyi and Professor Wang Shouren also held their breath, waiting for the answer.

On the screen.

Facing Xiao Yu's assist, Jiang Zhe couldn't help but smile and remark:

"You've finally hit the nail on the head!"

"Before answering the question of [how to read the past], Xiao Yu, you should understand a more fundamental [Causality Theory]!"

"Causality Theory?"

Xiao Yu nodded without hesitation.

She and countless viewers had all studied it; it was just philosophy!

Jiang Zhe began to explain:

"Causality Theory describes a simple chain of logic!"

"[The current state] is the [result of the past]; [the current state] is simultaneously the [cause of the future]."

He paused deliberately, letting Xiao Yu absorb the concept.

Xiao Yu nodded like a chick pecking at rice.

"Based on this chain, Xiao Yu, you can perform a logical deduction!"

He raised an index finger and said with a serious face:

"If Causality Theory is correct."

"Then [the present] is determined by [the past]."

"The present is the [result] of the past; the past is the [cause] of the present."

"And the present is also the [cause] of the future; the future is the [result] of the present."

"Therefore, if [the present] is determined, then [the future] is also determined!"

"Let's transform it, and we can arrive at a startling conclusion!"

"As long as [the past] is determined, then [the future] is also determined!"

"This means that as long as I calculate the [past] of your classmate's brother, I can know his [future]."

"[The present is irrelevant]!"

"Can you understand?"

He nodded slightly with a stern expression.

Xiao Yu counted on her fingers with a bewildered expression, "Ah, this... I can understand the first part, but the second part is a bit convoluted!"

Jiang Zhe's explanation indeed made the viewers in the livestream feel like their brains were smoking.

"I think I get it, so is destiny already fixed?"

"What do you mean you get it? I don't understand at all!"

"No, no, my brain can't wrap around this. Can Xiaoyu's brother give an example?"

Seeing Xiao Yu's confusion, Jiang Zhe took a deep breath.

He felt that the IQ the system had boosted for his sister hadn't increased by much!

"Xiao Yu, don't overthink it!"

"It's very simple!"

"For example: The protagonist Li Ming got into a car accident today. The [present] of that car accident is the [result] of the [past]."

"What was the cause of Xiao Ming's car accident?"

"Because he drank with his friends an hour ago."

"Now, sort it out—"

"[Drinking is the cause of the car accident] → [The car accident is the result of the past]."

"And this [car accident] will become the [cause] of his future hospitalization, the compensation from the driver, and even the change in the trajectory of his life."

"Therefore, the future [hospitalization is the result of the current car accident]."

"Now, we get the key elements of a timeline—"

"Past: Drinking; Present: Car accident; Future: Hospitalization."

"The sequence is—"

"[Drinking is the cause of the car accident] → [The car accident is the result of drinking / and simultaneously the cause of hospitalization] → [Hospitalization is the result of drinking]."

"Look at it again now!"

"[Hospitalization is the result of drinking]!"

Jiang Zhe looked at Xiao Yu and continued without hesitation:

"Xiao Ming went to drink with his friends tonight, so in the future, he will definitely be hospitalized!"

"Because as long as he planted the cause of [drinking], Xiao Ming's [future] is [hospitalization]; this is something that can be determined."

"What happened in between?"

"Was it a car accident, or swimming at night, or even a night run, or whatever—it doesn't matter at all!"

"Ultimately, we get: [The past is determined] → [The future is determined] → [The present? Irrelevant]."

"This is the power of the causality chain, and also the foundation of [predestination]!"

Upon hearing this.

Countless viewers' eyes lit up instantly, as if something had been unlocked in their minds.

Upon careful reflection, they finally felt...

"Holy crap, that's so powerful!" xN

In any case, it boils down to one sentence!

As long as Xiao Ming drinks, he will definitely be hospitalized in the future!

Whether Xiao Ming goes home, rides a bike, swims, or goes on a date after drinking, it doesn't matter!

Either way, the [cause] of Xiao Ming [drinking] has been planted.

Then he cannot avoid going to the [hospital] within this day!

Thinking about it this way, it's much easier to understand!

"Good grief!"

"I understand now. Is this the power of Causality Theory?"

"I feel like a mathematical formula has sneakily entered my brain!"

...

Inside the high school dormitory building.

Hearing this explanation, the three teachers nodded in approval with fiery eyes.

This is the power of Causality Theory!

The three old professors understood it after a little reflection.

Jiang Zhe used a clever transformation!

Very powerful!

Therefore, the conclusion is that the moment of the Big Bang already knew the moment of the universe's end!

No matter what happens in between, it cannot affect the universe's end at a fixed time!

On the screen.

Xiao Yu racked her brains, but fortunately, after two and a half minutes, she finally understood!

"Wow, this is too amazing!"

"It's nothing amazing; it's just refining a broad Causality Theory!"

In his previous life.

Laplace had proposed Laplace's Demon to refine Causality Theory.

Through his memories, he discovered that this world also had a Laplace who had mentioned something similar, but it wasn't Laplace's Demon,

so as to avoid being exposed for plagiarizing theories from his previous life!

Xiao Yu frowned, then suddenly realized.

"Xiaoyu's brother is amazing!"

Then he picked up the blue book.

"Now, back to your question—[how to see the determined past]?"

His gaze fell on Xiao Yu's face, which was full of admiration.

"The principle lies in the fact that the digital universe you and I are in possesses a strict and indelible [information backup mechanism]!"

"You can understand it as a record from the Big Bang to the destruction of the universe..."

"A [universal library] or [universal database] that records the trajectories of all particles!"

He flipped through the blue book while explaining:

"And the [past] as you perceive it has never disappeared; it has always existed in [past space-time]."

"In the physical realm, every space-time is a [space-time slice]."

"You only need to know—"

"All information from the [past], [present], and [future] has not disappeared."

"They have just been encoded into a system that has existed almost since the birth of the universe and permanently archives this information..."

"A universal database!"

"And this copy of the I Ching in Xiaoyu's brother's hand..."

As he spoke up to this point, his lips couldn't help but curl up.

"Is precisely the [key] to opening the [universal database]!"

"And as long as I use this I Ching, I can send a [request] to the [universal database]!"

"Then [access] this massive database, and finally perform a [query request]!"

"And the five numbers [37218] are the [instructions] for Xiaoyu's brother's query this time."

"The hexagrams and information I received are the [query results] sent to me by the [universal database]."

"Finally, I translated the [query results] into [Chinese]."

As he finished speaking, his gaze fell on Xiao Yu's face, her beautiful eyes filled with shock.

"I simply performed a [data read] in his [personal historical archive] after the request was approved!"

As this series of words fell, in an instant.

Xiao Yu and countless viewers were dumbfounded.

A universal database?

This answer had more impact than any talk of ghosts and gods in the past!

For a long time!

The livestream room went completely wild!
