147: But I can't refute

The eventual bankruptcy of Malyshev left Kadeyafu feeling a chill in his heart; this was not only the future of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria but also the last hope his grandfather had left him.

Was everything about to end?

Kadeyafu was stunned, looking at Xu Ning with eyes full of doubt. He didn't understand how Xu Ning could believe that something made in two days could beat Adrian's two years of effort.

But the only choice left seemed to be to trust him.

Kadeyafu lowered his head, as if accepting his fate, and raised his hand in a gesture: "Uncle Ivanyafu, let him go."

He paused for a moment, then said firmly: "This is an order."

Ivanyafu glared angrily at Xu Ning. Although he didn't know exactly what Xu Ning had said, he had clearly convinced Kadeyafu, rendering their efforts futile.

"You fellow, just you wait and see!"

Anger blazed in Ivanyafu's eyes, but he still reluctantly pushed Grigory out of the crowd and turned to leave.

Grigory, rescued, ran excitedly towards Yatoniy, but thought to himself: "Just you wait. Once I'm out of Hulifuka, I'll show you how I'll deal with you."

Grigory rushed back to Eugene's side, and after untying the ropes, he whispered a few words to him. The two exchanged a look full of determination.

Seeing this, the blonde woman spoke again: "Please follow me, Mr. Makarov is already waiting for you inside."

Grigory smiled and said: "Since the situation has been resolved, we won't bother Mr. Makarov today. Another day, I will prepare everything and invite Mr. Makarov for a drink."

He knew clearly that he needed to go back and make some preparations as soon as possible to intercept those who dared to kidnap him on the way.

The blonde woman looked at him coldly and said: "I have already said that Mr. Makarov has invited you in."

Grigory's smile immediately froze. After some thought, he could only nod in agreement.

They were business partners of Tailayev Shipyard, and there was a vast difference in status between the two sides, so they dared not disobey.

Seeing that no one objected, the blonde woman turned and walked into the factory.

Seeing this, Xu Ning quickly got in the car and followed.

Everyone failed to notice that one of Grigory's subordinates, riding a motorcycle, quietly left the scene while the crowd's attention was diverted.

Upon entering the shipyard, everyone was immediately surrounded by armed guards and their weapons were confiscated.

The heavy trucks loaded with naval guns were taken over by Tailayev's workers and their whereabouts were unknown.

All vehicles were forced to park in a temporary parking lot inside the factory and were arranged to be transported to a certain location in Tailayev's dedicated vehicles.

Xu Ning stroked his chin, wondering if the security this time was much stricter than last time, perhaps because of the conflict that just occurred at the factory gate?

Just as he was thinking, the car stopped. It turned out they had arrived at the dock they had visited last time.

After getting out of the car, Xu Ning looked around, his gaze finally settling on one side of the dock.

His assistant also noticed the situation there and approached Xu Ning, saying: "Boss, those heavy trucks over there seem to be ours."

"Mm."

Xu Ning responded, seeing workers using a crane to unload the naval guns, and not far away, another naval gun was already in position.

The thick barrel pointed towards the sea, as if ready to spray a rain of bullets at any moment.

That naval gun, lying on the ground like a baby elephant, gave off a tremendous sense of oppression.

If Xu Ning was not mistaken, that was precisely the naval gun manufactured by Menskyuk Military Industry that he had seen last time.

Kadeyafu looked at the naval gun with a blank stare, his mind racing with thoughts, his fists clenched tightly, his fingernails almost digging into his palms.

It was a kind of helpless despair.

This competition seemed destined to be unwinnable. He began to imagine how the people from Menskyuk Military Industry would look, smug and triumphant in front of him after winning the competition.

The two men were unaware of the agreement between Mr. Makarov and Xu Ning earlier. If it weren't for Kadeyafu, they wouldn't be here at all.

Just last night, they had even received instructions from Mr. Harvey to destroy the Malyshev Military Factory and eliminate all Asians inside, but now, all plans had been disrupted.

Just as Xu Ning was observing the area around the dock, a black military sedan sped over and quickly stopped not far away.

The car did not drive directly onto the dock but stopped at a distance. The car door opened, and Mr. Makarov stepped out, tidied his clothes casually, and then walked towards them.

Seeing Mr. Makarov, Grigory's face suddenly became tense. He quickly stepped forward to greet him and was the first to shake hands with Mr. Makarov.

He said excitedly: "Mr. Makarov, it's a pleasure to see you again. Are you satisfied with our naval gun? Please let us know if there are any areas that need improvement."

"Of course, if there are any other opportunities for cooperation in the future, that would be even better."

Mr. Makarov smiled and said: "No problem, but first, please allow me to introduce my new friends."

He elegantly extended his hand to point at Xu Ning and Kadeyafu, who were walking towards them, and said: "These are Mr. Xu and Mr. Kadeyafu from Malyshev Military Industry."

So they were from Malyshev Military Industry, no wonder...

Grigory sneered inwardly, recalling Mr. Harvey's mission to destroy the Malyshev Military Factory. He glanced at Xu Ning, thinking that Mr. Harvey's target was probably this Easterner.

Thinking of this, he felt a hint of sympathy for Xu Ning, but under Mr. Harvey's command, no one could escape.

However, before he could make a move, he was intercepted by Kadeyafu. Had the plan been leaked? Fortunately, he escaped in time, otherwise the consequences would have been unthinkable. Grigory was determined not to let these people leave Hulifuka alive.

He composed himself, trying to remain calm, and then asked Mr. Makarov: "Excuse me, what can I do for you?"

Mr. Makarov smiled and gestured for the blonde woman beside him to explain. She mentioned that this was a competition for a business partnership, and the losing party would lose the contract with Tailayev Shipyard.

Grigory suddenly understood and sneered: "So that's it. So you Malyshev Military Industry were afraid of losing to Menskyuk Military Industry and came up with this kidnapping idea."

"You're the one who stole it."

"Nonsense, do you have proof?"

Kadeyafu was momentarily speechless: "No... no."

"Then your accusation is meaningless," Grigory said. "Everyone saw you trying to kidnap me!"

Kadeyafu's face turned red with anger, but he couldn't refute and could only endure Grigory's mockery.

Just as Xu Ning had said, no matter how he explained, Grigory could always use the previous kidnapping incident to refute him and verbally abuse him.

Now, Grigory was like he was standing on a platform of justice, while he himself was like a small person being pressed down under the platform.

No matter how he struggled, he couldn't cause Grigory the slightest trouble, and the other party only needed to speak lightly to put him in a difficult situation.
