25: All is fair in war

The three men circled around and finally arrived at the temporary laboratory.

Watching Xu Ning climb onto the tank, Xiao Jianhao and Sun Zhongqiang were so shocked their jaws almost dropped.

What is he going to do?

"Factory Director, you're not planning to drive this tank to meet Commander Chen Dongchao, are you?"

"Yes, is there a problem?"

"Tanks can't just drive on the road, and yours is still..." Xiao Jianhao swallowed hard, instinctively touching the tank's armor as if touching a bride.

"Such an advanced tank, could it be a new type of secret weapon?"

The more he touched, the more excited he became, and Sun Zhongqiang next to him was so excited his saliva was almost flowing out.

"Company Commander, is this reactive armor?"

"It looks real. I've only seen it in magazines." Sun Zhongqiang sighed inwardly, thinking if their Type 59 Tanks had this equipment, they wouldn't have lost so badly in this military exercise.

Xu Ning said with a smile, "Of course it's real. The entire vehicle is equipped with this armor. Let's go, get in."

"But..."

"Don't worry, we'll take the back road, no one will see us. Only tanks can travel on that kind of road."

Sun Zhongqiang excitedly urged Xiao Jianhao, "Let's go, Battalion Commander. The Factory Director is right, it'll definitely be fine."

As a Tank Company Commander, his love for tanks was no less than anyone else's.

Given the chance to drive this tank, he naturally didn't want to miss it.

Xiao Jianhao understood his thoughts, because he was also tempted.

"What are you afraid of? Let's go!"

The two men quickly got into the tank.

Looking at the observation screens and flashing buttons inside, they were stunned.

So many electronic devices could be installed inside a tank!

For the first time, they developed such intense curiosity about tanks.

"Let's set off!" Xu Ning shouted, and then started the tank.

The other complex operations would be left for the two of them to slowly figure out along the way; the immediate priority was to find Commander Chen Dongchao.

Xu Ning had walked this winding back road with his father during his middle school days.

At that time, his father drove a tank, taking him to the Northern Military Region.

Along the way, his father lovingly ruffled his hair while patiently teaching him to recognize every button on the tank's control panel.

"Little fellow, one day you will also build your own tanks, and they must be even better than these, using your tanks to defend the beautiful landscape of our great motherland."

"Swear to defend every inch of the nation's territory from invasion with your life."

Xu Ning, having merged with the original owner's emotions, felt an inexplicable sentiment welling up in his heart at this moment.

"Dad, your dream from the past, I am about to make it a reality for you!"

He suddenly stepped on the accelerator, pushed the control stick all the way down, the tank's engine immediately let out a deafening roar, and the speed climbed sharply.

This behemoth could actually speed along the muddy dirt road as if it were flat ground.

The two people next to him were badly startled and quickly grabbed the handrails to steady themselves.

It was the first time they had seen such a fast tank, it could almost rival a car.

They couldn't help but mutter to themselves: This is clearly a heavy tank, how could it have such astonishing speed?

Half the journey was over, and Xu Ning thought to himself: After crossing the hill ahead, the destination will be close at hand.

"Sun Zhongqiang, do you feel like the surroundings are a bit familiar?" Xiao Jianhao looked around through the display screen and the surrounding observation windows, a sense of inexplicable familiarity surged in his heart, so he couldn't help but ask.

"Indeed, Battalion Commander, I also think this place looks very familiar."

"Wait, aren't those two trenches dug by us personally?" Sun Zhongqiang stared intently at the screen, an expression of disbelief on his face, and suddenly exclaimed, "Oh no, Battalion Commander, we've accidentally entered the exercise area!"

"What!" Xiao Jianhao was jolted awake as if from a dream, finally understanding why this place was so familiar.

However, before he could recover, a Blue Force tank suddenly appeared in their field of vision.

Xu Ning, however, seemed exceptionally excited.

He asked, "You said before that you are the Red Force, right?"

Do you want to redeem yourselves?"

Xiao Jianhao was stunned by the question and quickly replied, "Factory Director, what do you mean?"

Our tank isn't equipped with the blank rounds used in exercises!"

"That's not important," Xu Ning said calmly, while simultaneously increasing the tank's speed to its limit.

The BH90 Main Battle Tank charged directly towards the Blue Force tank like a tiger descending a mountain.

That Blue Force tank was a Type 59 Tank, and facing the sudden opponent, they had no time to react.

Xu Ning's tank was already closing in.

The speed of a heavy tank actually surpassed their medium tank.

The gun barrel was aimed directly at the front of the Blue Force tank, causing the rotating turret of the Type 59 Tank to instantly stop.

They had never seen such a rapid tank charge.

However, it was too late to say anything now; they knew they had been defeated, and defeated so thoroughly.

The Blue Force tank crew first opened the hatch and angrily accused Xu Ning and the others of not playing by the rules.

"This isn't fair!"

Why doesn't your tank have the Red Force insignia!"

If we had spotted you earlier, we would have aimed at you already!" He knew his excuse was weak, but his heart was full of unwillingness.

Xiao Jianhao's fighting spirit was completely ignited by Xu Ning.

He pushed open the hatch with a sinister grin.

"Hehe, do you know what 'deception is not too much in war' means?"

"Sun Zhongqiang!"

"Present! Battalion Commander!"

"Go to their vehicle and get their ammunition!"

This time we're going to redeem ourselves!"

Xu Ning reminded softly, "Just take their machine gun bullets.

The Type 59 Tank uses 100mm shells, while ours uses 125mm."

Sun Zhongqiang gazed at the massive gun barrel of the BH90 Main Battle Tank and finally understood why this tank was so powerful.

This comprehensive reinforcement and modification made one wonder just how astonishing the power of a single shot fired from it would be.

He pondered in his heart.

Don't underestimate this 25mm difference; for every millimeter increase in shell diameter, the power can multiply.

The ammunition was quickly emptied.

Those few Blue Force tank crew members still wanted to argue, but they were shut down by Xiao Jianhao's retort, "What's the point of a loser's grumbling?"

Before the hatch closed, Sun Zhongqiang glared fiercely at them and declared, "Just you wait and see, this time I'm going to make you lose completely!"

"Keep bragging," the other side scoffed.

"You think you can take on a whole bunch of us by yourself?"

Sun Zhongqiang chose to ignore such mockery.

He heavily closed the hatch.

With Xu Ning and the Battalion Commander by his side, he was filled with unprecedented confidence.

He planned to respond to their mockery with actual battle results.

Inside the Northern Military Region Headquarters.

Commander Man Guangyi put down the phone and turned to Chen Dongchao to ask, "I just received news that an unidentified tank attacked Hill B and defeated the defending tanks.

Is that your new equipment?"
