131: Chapter 131: The "Pledge of Allegiance" of Medicine King Valley

The successful production launch of "Shennong No. 1" was like a shot of adrenaline, striking right at the pulse of Xia Country's development.

The subsequent effects arrived faster and more violently than anyone had imagined.

First was the military sector.

More than half of the first batch of "Spirit Energy Replenishment Fluid" was supplied directly to special forces and frontline combat units across the entire military.

The effects were immediate.

The extreme cross-country training that originally took three days to complete could now be finished in a single day, and the soldiers were still full of energy, as if nothing had happened.

In combat training, the soldiers' strength, speed, and reaction capabilities all showed visible improvements.

Even some ordinary soldiers who originally had no talent for cultivation began to develop a faint "sense of Qi" within their bodies after long-term consumption of the replenishment fluid.

The Ministry of National Defense immediately submitted a report titled "Feasibility Report on Constructing 'Spirit-Enhanced' Super Soldiers." The core argument of the report was: If a sufficient supply of "Spirit Energy Replenishment Fluid" could be guaranteed, the individual combat capability of the Xia Country military would lead the world by at least two generations within five years.

Next was the scientific research sector.

Many of those national treasure-level scientists and engineers were advanced in age, and their physical health and energy were not what they used to be.

Now, with the "Spirit Energy Replenishment Fluid," they seemed to have experienced a second spring.

Previously, they could only work eight hours a day, but now they could work for eighteen hours straight without catching their breath.

Many cutting-edge projects that had stalled due to a lack of energy were restarted and pushed forward at an unprecedented speed.

The entire country's technology tree was climbing crazily in a nearly explosive manner.

Finally, and perhaps most profoundly, was the public livelihood sector.

Although the first batch of replenishment fluid had not yet been popularized among the general public, the state had already used the media to paint an incredibly beautiful blueprint for everyone.

— — The "National Health 2035" plan.

The goal of the plan was to increase the average life expectancy of the entire nation to over one hundred years within the next ten years by popularizing the "Spirit Energy Replenishment Fluid" and basic "Guiding Techniques." It aimed to completely eradicate most common diseases from the country.

Once this plan was announced, the entire society was in an uproar.

To live a long life, free from illness and disaster.

This was something that emperors, generals, and ministers had dreamed of since ancient times.

And now, the country was telling everyone that this would become a reality.

For a time, Jiang Ning's name and the "Shennong Project" were pushed to an unprecedented height.

She was no longer just a mysterious "Chief Engineer."

In the hearts of countless ordinary people, she had become a living "deity" leading this country toward a new era.

...

Kunlun Academy, Dean's office.

Sun Siyuan stood before Director Zhao Lixin's desk, his expression solemn.

"Director Zhao, I have come this time to represent Medicine King Valley and submit a 'Pledge of Allegiance' to the academy and the country."

As he spoke, he took out an ancient-looking wooden box from his bosom, held it with both hands, and handed it over.

Director Zhao Lixin took the wooden box with some confusion and opened it to take a look.

Inside, there were no gold, silver, or jewels, nor any rare herbs.

Instead, there was a thick stack of yellowed paper and over a dozen bamboo slips engraved with characters.

"This is..."

"This is all the pill formulas, medical cases, and pharmacological classics that Medicine King Valley has passed down for over thirteen hundred years." Sun Siyuan's voice trembled slightly, but it was filled more with a sense of relief and calmness.

"From the lowest-level 'Mind-Clearing Powder' to the 'Nine-Turn Life-Extending Pill' that only our Valley Master can refine, all the formulas, heat control methods, and insights are all here."

Director Zhao Lixin's hand shook violently, and he almost dropped the box on the floor.

Although he did not understand the Dao of Alchemy, he knew what these items meant to a hidden medical sect with a thousand-year heritage.

This was their lifeline!

"Sun... Consultant Sun, what is this..." For a moment, Director Zhao Lixin didn't know how to address him.

"Director Zhao, please don't call me that. I am just an ordinary researcher at the academy now." Sun Siyuan smiled bitterly.

"I am not doing this on impulse."

"Over this past month, at the construction site of 'Shennong No. 1,' I have thought a lot."

"I watched with my own eyes as a super factory, which we dared not even imagine in the past, rose from the ground under Instructor Jiang's command."

"I personally tightened every screw on it and personally debugged every pipeline inside."

"Only then did I finally understand what that sentence Instructor Jiang said meant."

His eyes became incredibly clear.

"The Dao of Alchemy is meant for saving people, not for showing off."

"We in Medicine King Valley have been guarding these things passed down by our ancestors, cherishing our own brooms and stagnating. No matter how good the pills we refine are, how many people can they save? We treated them as treasures, as chips to exchange for wealth and status, but forgot their most fundamental value."

"But Instructor Jiang, she used the 'industry' we looked down upon the most, used the 'assembly lines' we despised the most, and achieved something we hadn't been able to do in thousands of years—giving everyone the chance to live longer and live better."

"This is the true 'Sincerity of the Great Physician,' and this is the true 'Great Dao.'"

"Therefore, we in Medicine King Valley have figured it out."

"We are willing to offer all these 'small daos' that have been passed down for thousands of years to the country and to Instructor Jiang."

"We hope that these pill formulas can be turned into lines of new code and new programs in Instructor Jiang's hands, integrating into those great factories. Let them bring health and hope to more people."

"This is also the only contribution we 'old era' alchemists can make for this 'new era.'"

After Sun Siyuan finished speaking, he bowed deeply to Director Zhao Lixin.

Director Zhao Lixin looked at him, then at the heavy wooden box in his hands, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

He knew that from this moment on, the last and most stubborn hidden sect in Xia Country had finally completely set aside their ridiculous pride and truly integrated into the surging, brand-new torrent of this era.

He helped Sun Siyuan up and patted his shoulder heavily.

"On behalf of the country and the people, I thank you, and I thank Medicine King Valley."

"History will remember this contribution of yours."
