152: Chapter 152: Chief Engineer Jiang is back, everyone get moving!

"Thirty-one days... A month has passed?"

Jiang Ning muttered to herself, slightly surprised.

In that pure white space, she had no sense of time at all; she thought it had only been a blink of an eye.

She stood up from the fragments of the medical pod, her hospital gown already tattered beyond recognition. She frowned, and her clothes were replaced by a clean set of research fatigues.

This ability to change clothes out of thin air left the people around her stunned once again.

"How has the situation been this past month?" Jiang Ning asked as she adjusted her collar.

Director Zhao Lixin quickly replied, clearing his throat and trying to make his voice sound as steady as possible. "Chief Engineer Jiang, that shot of yours completely resolved the trouble in Donghai City. Now, the entire world has been awed by your power."

In a few words, he told Jiang Ning about the earth-shattering international changes over the past month and how various countries were scrambling to negotiate cooperation.

"Right now, our Xia Nation's global standing has never been higher. Every country has signed the 'Global Psionic Cooperation Framework Agreement' you previously established, and they even proactively added quite a few benefits." Director Zhao Lixin spoke with a face full of pride.

This was the dream of several generations, and now it had been realized by the woman before him.

"Mhm, I expected as much." Jiang Ning nodded.

Truth only exists within the range of a cannon; this saying holds true everywhere.

Once that shot from "Peace No. 1" was fired, all ulterior motives vanished, leaving only honest obedience.

"How is the 'Cross-boundary Teleportation Array' project coming along?" This was what she cared about most.

Upon hearing this, Director Zhao Lixin's expression turned serious. Professor Chen, Lin Yuan, and Sun Siyuan, who were behind him, also leaned in.

"We established a top-level project team based on the blueprints you left behind," Director Zhao Lixin said. "This past month, the nation's top experts have arrived, working in three shifts, day and night."

He walked to the command console and brought up a holographic projection.

The incredibly complex blueprints for the "Cross-boundary Teleportation Array (Immortal-Mortal Realm Targeted Version)" appeared before everyone.

"We've managed to digest seventy percent of the basic theory." Professor Chen pointed to a large glowing section of the blueprint, exhausted yet excited. "Chief Engineer Jiang, these blueprints are simply a treasure trove! The knowledge of space, energy, and runes within them completely exceeds our current physical framework. Every bit we understand feels like opening a new world."

Lin Yuan followed up, "The formation model is also stuck. The main issue is the energy core. According to the blueprints, that thing needs to be able to release a massive amount of energy instantaneously while also stabilizing the spatial channel. The samples we've built are always just a bit short on power."

Sun Siyuan was even more distressed. "The biggest problem is the materials. The 'Void Nether Stone' and 'Star Sand' required by the blueprints simply don't exist on Earth. We've tried some substitutes, but the results were poor. Without the right ingredients, even the best chef can't cook a meal."

After hearing them out, Jiang Ning frowned.

She also knew that this was the most troublesome part.

She had provided the finished blueprints, and the technology was far too advanced. To turn those blueprints into reality, industry, materials, and energy all had to keep up. Earth's foundation was still too thin.

"I'll find a way for the materials," Jiang Ning said in a flat tone.

She walked to the holographic projection and tapped her finger in the air.

Golden spiritual power delved into the blueprints.

In the next second, the entire blueprint seemed to come alive.

Countless runes and arrays began to recombine in a brand-new way.

The parts that were previously stuck due to materials were bypassed by her using several simpler runic formations.

The energy core that had given Lin Yuan and Sun Siyuan a headache for a month was modified by her in a few strokes into a "Youth Edition"—one with slightly lower power but entirely constructible with Earth's materials.

"This..."

Professor Chen, Lin Yuan, and Sun Siyuan were all as if their pressure points had been struck, staring intently at the changing blueprints without even daring to blink.

To them, Jiang Ning's casual adjustments were nothing short of divine methods!

Problems that had left them frazzled and couldn't be solved even with supercomputers were resolved by her in moments, as if it were mere child's play.

"There."

In less than five minutes, Jiang Ning withdrew her hand.

A brand-new, "downgrade-modified" blueprint lay before everyone.

"Proceed according to this new one," Jiang Ning instructed. "I will bring back a batch of the core materials from the Immortal-Mortal Realm. As for the power of the energy core..."

She paused, her voice carrying a sense of confidence.

"When the time comes, I will be the energy core."

Her current abilities were a completely different story from before. With her present power, serving as the startup energy source for the teleportation array was more than enough.

"No! That's too dangerous!" Director Zhao Lixin was the first to object.

He had seen Jiang Ning lying unconscious for a month; this sort of thing couldn't happen again.

"Don't worry, it's different this time." Jiang Ning glanced at him, and all the words Director Zhao Lixin wanted to say were stifled back.

"One month." Jiang Ning made a gesture for "one." "Build the teleportation array for me in one month. In one month, we set out!"

Her voice wasn't loud, but no one dared to argue.

The doubts in the hearts of those present vanished instantly, replaced by a surge of hot-blooded excitement inspired by her.

Indeed, this was Jiang Ning!

The woman who could create miracles!

She was back!

"Yes! We guarantee the mission will be completed!"

Professor Chen, Lin Yuan, and Sun Siyuan replied in unison, their voices loud and their eyes shining once more.

Director Zhao Lixin opened his mouth but swallowed his words of persuasion. He knew that once Jiang Ning decided something, no one could change it.

He steadied himself, his expression becoming exceptionally solemn. "Good! Then I will go and prepare as well. This time, when we go to the Immortal-Mortal Realm, we can't just bring scientific research equipment."

His ambition was written all over his face.

"We must organize the most elite team and bring our most advanced industrial equipment. We're not just going to get resources; we're also going to build a forward base there that belongs to our Earth, to our Xia Nation!"

"Our goal can no longer be just this tiny Earth."

Director Zhao Lixin looked up, as if trying to see through the rock layers above and gaze into the universe.

"Our goal is the sea of stars!"

...

Over the next month, the entire Xia Nation swung into action, with terrifyingly high efficiency.

With Jiang Ning personally overseeing things and the "downgraded" blueprints in hand, the construction progress of the "Cross-boundary Teleportation Array" was rapid.

Countless resources from across the nation and even the world were continuously transported into the underground base of Kunlun Academy.

A massive circular platform, over a hundred meters in diameter and composed of precision parts and profound arrays—both sci-fi and mystical in nature—was slowly taking shape.

Meanwhile, a special team codenamed "1st Psionic Engineering Corps" was also being secretly formed and trained.

The members were all elites selected from the military's special forces and engineering units; not only were they highly skilled, but they also had to possess spiritual roots to adapt to the environment of the Immortal-Mortal Realm.

Their equipment was armed to the teeth.

Psionic rifles, exoskeleton armor, and large engineering machinery capable of splitting mountains and cracking rocks—all were top-tier products of the Xia Nation's "industrialized cultivation."

This day, at the training base of the Engineering Corps.

A dark-skinned, burly colonel was giving a speech.

He was the commander of this unit, Zhang Liancheng.

"Listen up, everyone! In three days, we will be executing an unprecedented top-level mission! I don't care how impressive you were in your old units, whether you were a soldier king or a technical expert! Here, you all have only one identity—'Pioneers'!"

"We are going to a brand-new world! There may be opportunities there, but there are even more dangers! Keep your nerves tight!"

"The Chief Consultant for this operation is Chief Engineer Jiang, Jiang Ning! Her word is the highest command! You must obey unconditionally! Do you understand?!"

"Understood!"

The hundreds of soldiers below in black combat uniforms let out a sky-shaking roar.

Zhang Liancheng was very satisfied.

Just then, a signalman ran up to him and saluted. "Report, Colonel! Headquarters has ordered you to go to Warehouse No. 1 immediately; the Chief Consultant has new equipment to hand over to us."

"New equipment?" Zhang Liancheng was stunned for a moment, then his eyes lit up.

He strode toward Warehouse No. 1, his heart itching with anticipation.

This Chief Engineer Jiang's every move was startling. What good things would she bring out this time?
