46: The most important thing is to survive
After Luo Chen received the energy crystal from An Su, he and Noya returned to the Train with fifteen women.
Zhou Zhi watched Luo Chen's receding figure, then looked at Lin Youzi's heartbroken eyes, his heart filled with anger.
He angrily approached An Su and demanded, "By what right did you give him that energy crystal without permission?"
"This was a decision from the Military Intelligence Office above. Do you intend to defy it?" An Su glanced at Zhou Zhi and retorted with a cold tone.
Upon hearing An Su's words, Zhou Zhi was speechless and could only suppress his anger deep within his heart.
What he didn't know was that the Military Intelligence Office had only issued an order for them to find the Divine Token at all costs.
An Su said this merely to curb his arrogance.
A soldier's duty is to obey orders, and Zhou Zhi's repeated defiance of her had greatly disappointed her.
However, An Su was not afraid to forge a military order; since the higher-ups said to do it at all costs, she only needed to achieve the result, the process was not important.
Ignoring Zhou Zhi, she turned to another man and said,
"Li Jin, you and Lin Youzi go notify the other two Train Conductors and have them come take some people. Don't force them; just take as many as they agree to."
After speaking, she went to the other side of the Train and called out to the soldiers collecting supplies: "Two of you, go to the other side and lead those survivors in collecting supplies. Hurry up, don't slack off."
After An Su left, another male soldier, An Ping, came before Zhou Zhi, smiled helplessly, and began to explain:
"Currently, the higher-ups have many energy crystals, but they lack Divine Tokens, which prevents many people from awakening.
Our primary mission now is to obtain more tokens, or the right to use them.
Only when the overall strength of the Great Xia Interstellar Federation increases can we resist the threats from the Japanese, the Northern Kingdom, other alliances, and even alien races."
"How do you know if he has a token?" Zhou Zhi retorted.
"Have you forgotten my sister's profession? She is a Level 1 psychologist; seeing through a country bumpkin like him is no difficulty at all," An Ping said with a smile.
"Just now, my sister already guessed that he had a token, which is why she was preparing to send Lin Youzi to his Train. But she didn't expect that he hadn't yet been blinded by lust and actually refused."
"Since we know he has a token, why don't we just snatch it?"
"Snatch? You go snatch it?" An Ping rolled his eyes helplessly. This man was so consumed by jealousy that he couldn't even analyze his surroundings properly.
Although speechless internally, he still explained earnestly:
"Didn't you see the woman in animal skins next to him? She should also be an alien. If you dare to snatch it, you might be killed by her before you even get close."
"The civilization level of Blue Star is too low. Before this game began, we couldn't even contact the gods of the myriad heavens. Other alien races, however, had already established contact with the gods and made preparations before the Train survival game started."
After speaking, An Ping sighed helplessly.
All this information was exchanged by the Great Xia Interstellar Federation with several lives from an alien priest.
"What if he doesn't let us use it?"
"He has so few people, not even one percent of ours. We have strength in numbers; even if everyone knows a little, it can converge into complete intelligence. Are we afraid of being surpassed by him?
As long as we are stronger than him, there will always be a time when he needs us. Moreover, if we offer him some benefits to entice him, we can achieve the same effect."
Looking at the pale world barrier in the distance, An Ping said leisurely,
"This game is not just about individual survival, but also the survival of civilization. Great Xia Civilization cannot and should not be destroyed in our hands."
By the end of his statement, his tone had become even more resolute.
"Let's go! Don't think so much; go collect supplies."
"Surviving first is the most important thing."
...Luo Chen brought everyone to the front of the Train, where Chen Yujun was driving an electric tricycle loaded with food into the Train.
She looked at the large group of women behind Luo Chen, and although she had some questions, she didn't ask.
Seeing this, Luo Chen called her over: "Sister Yujun! These fifteen people are survivors from this world.
Go get them some food to replenish their strength, then take them to collect supplies. Still try to collect food first."
Chen Yujun nodded, indicating she understood.
Luo Chen then looked at the time on his wrist and turned to the fifteen women, saying,
"The Train will remain docked in this world for another fifty-three minutes. After the Train leaves, you will encounter what An Su has already told you.
Now, your first task is to do your best to collect as many supplies as possible within these fifty-three minutes. I will determine your future treatment based on your performance.
Now, follow her to put your luggage on the Train, then go collect supplies."
After speaking, Luo Chen drove his flying motorcycle into the Train alone.
Noya was left near the Train to stand guard, preventing others from attacking the Train.
"Follow me!" Chen Yujun returned to the electric tricycle and led the fifteen women into the Train.
After the women entered the Train, their eyes curiously darted around, their hearts filled with surprise.
Such a large Train could actually float in the air and even enter space, which truly exceeded their previous understanding.
Chen Yujun led the group to store their luggage together, then gave each person a pack of biscuits and a newly collected glass cup:
"If you didn't bring a water cup, keep this cup safe. All supplies on the Train are limited; if you lose it, you won't get another."
Hearing this, the women looked around and firmly grasped their water cups, afraid of accidentally dropping and breaking them.
After consulting Luo Chen, Chen Yujun took out five bottles of electrolyte water and poured a small cup for each of them:
"You are all a bit dehydrated, so drink some electrolyte water to replenish yourselves, otherwise you might get sick."
Chen Yujun explained to the fifteen women.
Of course, there was another reason: supplementing electrolyte sodium and potassium could restore their physical strength, allowing them to work better.
However, she wouldn't state this reason; after all, approaching it from the perspective of caring for their health showed more humanistic concern and could win people's hearts better.
This was similar to the way coffee was offered as a perk at work. Your value was exploited, and you were still expected to be grateful.
Indeed, hearing Chen Yujun's words, they all looked at her with grateful expressions.
After they finished drinking, Chen Yujun led them to the drinking water area and had them get water.
Electrolyte water was very limited, so they couldn't all drink it.
Of course, they could also drink salt water, but that wasn't as sophisticated as electrolyte water.
Moreover, table salt was also very limited and needed to be saved for cooking, so it couldn't be wasted.
The drinking water area had a faucet connected to the purification water tank, which was the only external outlet that came with the purification water tank.
Other core activated facilities that required water would automatically connect to the purification water tank.
The fifteen women consciously lined up in front of the faucet, one by one taking their cups to get water.
"Don't drink too much water at once; it can lead to water intoxication," Chen Yujun reminded them again.
Hearing her, they all obediently drank only one cup, then stood aside, looking at the faucet in front of them with surprised eyes.
This water was even better tasting than the special supply water they had drunk before.
Chen Yujun smiled slightly, watching the women's expressions, and reminded them,
"If you get thirsty in the future, you can come and drink directly, but don't waste it."
Then, she pointed to a spot not far away and continued: "Find a place there to put your cups; just remember your own spot."
After the women put their cups away, Chen Yujun drove the electric tricycle and took all of them to the villa where supplies were being collected.
Except for Mu Sichun, the other women were relatively small in stature. With a few hanging on the side and a few more on the left and right, transporting them all in one trip was not a problem.
