92: Planetary trains

A loud bang echoed throughout the entire cockpit.

Mi Jiajia had expected to be kicked to death by Wang Mazi, but after waiting for a while, she realized her body felt no pain.

She slowly opened her eyes and looked ahead.

Wang Mazi was clutching his right foot with both hands, slumped on the floor, his neck craned upwards, and his eyes bloodshot.

Veins bulged in his neck, and his cheeks were clenched tight, revealing a ferocious facial expression.

The other people in the cockpit stared nervously at Wang Mazi, who was sprawled on the ground, not daring to breathe, frozen in place.

“Damn it, it hurts like hell!” Wang Mazi roared hoarsely, slowly taking off his tattered cloth shoes.

Immediately, a stench like rotten sea fish filled the entire carriage.

“Hiss…ouch, my ingrown toenail is acting up again.”

“Why can this trash god strengthen the body but can’t fix an ingrown toenail?”

Wang Mazi looked at his swollen toe and shouted, trembling.

“Pfft!”

The few people behind him burst out laughing at Wang Mazi’s comical appearance.

“Damn it! Who’s laughing? Get out here!” Wang Mazi turned around and yelled loudly.

However, no one stepped forward.

“Damn it! Zhang Bixia, why aren’t you getting me some nail clippers?”

“N-nail clippers, we… we don’t have any on the Train.” A middle-aged beautiful woman walked out from the crowd and stammered.

“Shit, you don’t have any? Can’t you go buy some? Am I supposed to do everything? What good are you all then?” Wang Mazi immediately became furious.

Just as the middle-aged beautiful woman was about to say she didn’t have purchasing authority, the Train’s broadcast suddenly blared.

“Warning! Warning!”

“I am your escort, Philip. A planetary-class Train is about to pass through this area. To avoid planetary-class gravitational effects and collisions, the Train will perform an emergency evasive maneuver. Train Conductors, please do not panic.”

“The Train’s side thruster engines are starting. Side thrust speed 0.01% c.”

“Accelerating…”

“What’s going on?” Wang Mazi ignored his foot pain and asked anxiously.

Mi Jiajia and the others exchanged glances, equally unsure of what was happening… Inside Luo Chen’s Train, the women who were tidying their beds also heard the broadcast, immediately stopped what they were doing, and looked at Chen Yujun, who was standing by, with panicked expressions.

Even the girls bathing in the pool rushed out anxiously without bothering to get dressed.

“What’s going on? Is there danger?”

Chen Yujun looked at the somewhat bewildered crowd and quickly reassured them, “Don’t panic, didn’t you hear the broadcast? The Train is performing an evasive maneuver.”

The others relaxed slightly upon hearing this but were still somewhat worried.

Even if it was an emergency evasion, what if it didn’t succeed? Would they die then?

After speaking, Chen Yujun knew that simple words would be difficult to soothe everyone. She looked at Qin Yulian, who was sitting nearby, and said,

“Sister Yulian, please watch them here and keep them from causing a disturbance. I’ll go find the Train Conductor.”

With that, Chen Yujun turned and ran towards Luo Chen’s bedroom.

“Oh… oh, yeah… Oh yeah… Oh…”

“Yes, yes, I am coming!”

Although Elizabeth and Ashina had learned Chinese, they would still shout in their native language when excited.

Luo Chen had witnessed this with the Shindai sisters, so he wasn’t surprised.

He even found it quite amusing, at least it gave him a different experience.

Luo Chen, who was currently presenting to the god of fertility, was enjoying the wonderful Western music when he suddenly heard the Train’s broadcast and froze.

Philip?

Planetary-class Train? Collision?

He quickly exerted himself to present the last reverberations to the god of fertility, then pushed the puppet off him, grabbed the bathrobe nearby, and got up to walk towards the door.

Opening the door, he happened to collide with Chen Yujun, who was rushing over, and they crashed into each other.

Luo Chen quickly helped her steady herself and asked, “What’s going on?”

Chen Yujun felt Luo Chen’s body, her face flushed, and seeing Luo Chen’s serious expression, she quickly shook her head and said, “I don’t know either.”

“Luo Chen, come look! There’s a super big Train outside.” At this moment, Luo Wan Ning’s surprised cry came from the outermost carriage.

“Let’s go!”

Luo Chen said, and then took the lead, running towards the outermost carriage.

Arriving at the window, Xue Shang and Shirasawa Erina, among others, were already gathered at the window.

Beside Xue Shang, two white-haired lolis had appeared at some point.

Luo Chen didn’t bother to inquire about the white-haired lolis and quickly pressed himself against the window, looking outwards.

He saw a black Train of similar height rapidly passing by in front of a blue planet, against the backdrop of distant stars.

The Train was far enough from the planetary-class Train that Luo Chen and the others could glimpse its full appearance.

The planetary-class Train was hundreds of planetary diameters long, and its surface emitted faint glows, seemingly housing a large number of living beings.

And nearby, Luo Chen clearly saw other Trains. This was his first time seeing other Train Captains’ Trains in space.

“There should be people on it, right? In such a large place, life shouldn’t be much different from Blue Star, right?”

On Luo Chen’s other side, the Shindai sisters, dressed identically, murmured.

They sensed that Luo Chen seemed to like their identical appearance, so they deliberately wore the same clothes most of the time.

Shirasawa Erina stared intently at the distant Train. She clearly felt a powerful oppressive force within that Train, giving her an urge to kneel and worship.

As the Train’s wake swept past the edge of the Blue Star planet, it quickly disappeared into the vast black background in the distance.

Only by the stars’ light being obscured, revealing dark patches, could one infer the Train’s receding trajectory.

Luo Chen turned his head and whispered, “If only I had gotten Philip’s contact information last time!”

At this moment, Philip’s voice sounded again in the broadcast.

“Alert lifted!”

“The Train will soon return to its scheduled orbit. Due to the spatial ripples caused by the planetary-class Train, the jump will be delayed by four hours, and the Train’s docking on the following day will be similarly delayed by four hours.”

As Philip finished speaking, Luo Chen clearly felt the Train begin to shift to the left as it moved forward.

“It’s alright! Everyone go rest!”

Luo Chen said, glancing at the two white-haired lolis next to Xue Shang, then looking at Xue Shang again.

He then walked towards the living room of his room.

Seeing this, Xue Shang quickly pulled the two white-haired lolis and followed him… On a black Train.

Philip put down the broadcast microphone and sighed in relief: “Phew! I almost failed the mission! There are three intelligent civilizations on this star route, and if they all got crushed, I would lose a lot of face.”

Most importantly, if all three civilizations died, it would also mean that the sparks of these three civilizations in the universe would be completely extinguished, which he did not want to see.

“Officer, where did this Train come from? Why did it pass through our managed area without notifying us in advance? And the creature that contacted us just now, its tone was not at all polite, it was like giving orders, doesn’t it think much of us?”

Next to Philip, a creature with a pointed head shouted indignantly.

Its body was covered in green skin, and its wrinkled face had three round black eyes arranged in a triangular pattern. Below them, there was no nose, but two round holes on either side of its face. Its lower jaw had a mouthpart split into three lobes, opening and closing as it spoke.

“Shh! Don’t talk nonsense. In the entire universe, there are only dozens of planetary-class Trains. We can’t afford to provoke any of them.” Philip quickly stopped him.

“Heh heh! Little green worm, quite the big talker, daring to criticize even the renowned god of wealth.”

At this moment, a human woman with long golden hair appeared out of thin air on the Train.
